Sneak Peak : Course Maker?

Does it look awesome, well sure it does, it looks great. But really, looks have never really been GT's weak point. But without any substance or depth to the gameplay, well, looks just don't last do they?
If you mean sounds and AI with ''substance and depth to the gameplay'' then yes, they do last, because I don't care about sounds and AI.

I don't know about everyone but I feel it really is a course maker creation. The road surface doesn't reflect any bumpy surfaces in some instances, or actual road textures one can expect from laser scanned tracks, it seemed too generic to be a real street track and really did feel like a Course Maker track with smooth roads. Second, a checkpoint is seen and looks a lot like the checkpoints used to create sections in GT5's course maker. And lastly, the background renders while the cars run through the course in the video. Course Maker courses have a limited render span of 1 kilometre compared to established racing circuits in GT6's current track list. I think strongly it is a course maker track.

We had a sneak peak at the course maker when they revealed the GPS Feature, that is how i see the custom maker looking like, i could be wrong though, i don't think this is a course maker created track by PD, it's simply a new track.

So much this. Someone posted a pic of a real track which corresponded to this one, at least landscape wise

A course maker like this would be fantastic, let's see what the future brings?
I don't want to be disappointed again, PD!
:nervous:

If you hope to build a track from A to Z, you will be disappointed because it'll not happen.
Anyway, it can only be better than GT5

Yes, that would not happen but like you say .... it can only be better than GT5.
👍

I have missed that, con you post a video?

That is a feature showed in the streets of Wilow about a thing talked since GT5 which takes a thing in the ECU of the GT86 that transfers the data of the given track in GT6 and plays in a form of in game replay of your real life drive

It was shown in the streets of Willow so it could be compared to real life.

I can't help but to feel as if the road is a bit too wide.

If this is a course generator track made by PD, then when we get the full editor we should be able to edit the width of the track. At the very least we could make a similar track & edit it's width. Unless the road width option is gonna be taken out, & you know how PD likes to take options away between games.

The name of the thread and video is very misleading, as people are saying above, this is a new track, not the course maker, confirmed by people when finding the location in real life, a lot like cape ring.

If it is a course maker track, then like you, I can only hope the width functionality is retained.

Indeed.

The landscape around Ronda was said to be a course maker scenery. Given that and the way the track seems to look the same (same width, same markings, same barriers) everywhere makes it very likely to have been made with the course maker tool. You don't see the same kind of variation here as you do at original tracks like Cape Ring or Matterhorn.

i think everyone is getting hyped & setting themselves up for huge disappointment
im sure i read it here on gt planet few times that they said its a "New Track in Spain" , nothing about course maker

Kaz also said that Couse Maker would be a 20x20 Km2 arround Ronda.
Source? Won't it be the possibility of being a flat terrain? Or a freely customizable terrain?
Has that 20x20 km2 been confirmed anywhere? Maybe it'll be bigger. Whatever this turns out to be, it looks BIG!
20x20 km is HUGE. The Nordschleife is much less than 20x20. :D

That's nothing to do with the course maker, it's the telemetry thing.

I strongly suspect the track has been made with the course maker, the details are just too bland; smooth road, road width, it all looks very basic except for the scenery.

On a side note, I think it's supposed to look like Potrero de los Funes in Argentina

I think given what wardez said, that it is the course maker, with the gps feature utilised to recreate a real Road near ronda.

So anyone who thinks it's the course maker is correct.

And anyone who thinks it's to do with gps is correct.

And anyone who thinks it's a real Road is correct.

I also think it may be given as a track before the release of the full course maker. Then gps mobile apps released later again.

It's going to be a long wait, but for some, worth it in the end.

I agree with the guys that think it's here.

Could be a point to point if not the full loop.

The more I think about it. I'm going for new original world ciruit, like Matterhorn. Real environment, fake roads (though admittedly, they may share some of the same space as the real roads). Although I do agree the 'track' looks a little coursemaker-esque - so do sections of Matterhorn.

Looks nice enough I guess. But I was hoping the first post release new track in the game would be something to give us hope, such as an updated old track or a proper real world circuit. IF I'm right, that makes it more Filler than Killer :(

I agree. If you check out google maps and streetview, there are some parts of the video which matches the real road and others which appear not to exist, e.g the part where the road passes a wind turbine before approaching the town of Zahara. I could find reference to any wind turbines in street view so if someone can find any, that could confirm the area coverage. I remember kaz mentioning something about having areas to just drive in (a long time ago, no reference sorry but I believe it was around some if the detailed photo mode locations?!?) so maybe zahara is this, specifically as the wide landscape shots are from both ends of the lake. Not convinced about course maker for this
