From the special events I guess.

Actually now when I think about it, it's kind of weird that the events say that you can get like 30k from something but when I drove them to gold I got like 100k :confused:

Haha, if you get Gold first time you get the money for Silver & Bronze Too!
 
I've only done a few tests at a time and have just completed IC but so far they're very easy.

Maybe IC-1 required a narrow margin done properly. It seems others are turning ABS off and going sideways to complete it.
 
Did B through IC at random this weekend, then tackled and golded all IB tests this morning before work. Haven't done the IA or S ones yet, but I'm hoping to gold all 20 tonight and get a pic up. Wish me luck. ;)
 
Got A, B and IC all golden.
Just finished IC-10, that was the hardest one so far (with dualshock).

Started IB, gold on the wet stop thingy and now a little rest!
Can't feel my fingers :)

IC-10 was by far the hardest so far for me. I probably had 4-5 hours on that one with a G25 and no aids at first. I ended up putting the ABS to 1 though. A good tip is to downshift to slow the car down in conjunction with braking. It helped me control the car during the first sharp right by downshifting into 3rd while braking.

I'm now on IB-10, haven't tried it yet though. IB went pretty smoothly. The wet braking and slalom were the toughest for me. Good Luck.
 
Finished all with Gold with the DS3!



Most of them were quite easy to do but a few were really annoying!

I finally accomplished IC-1 by stopping with my final gear being 2nd. Worked a charm.


IC-1 seems unnecessarily harsh, whereas where A-7 is a complete cake walk in which gold can be attained with 2 seconds to spare. My first time out on A-7 I hit the finish line at 30.271, and gold in that event is at 32.000; a huge margin and a bit inconsistent with a test (IC-1) just 4 steps later.

Come to think of it, the IC-4 test, also at Eiger Trail, is too easy as well. They must have timed them without rally style drifting in mind.

Got gold in B and A last wednesday, but only time to play for about an hour then. Got all gold after another 3 hours yesterday :)

I find the license tests take too long; especially to re-load everything to try again.

Sure I could spend hours shooting for Gold; but I want to race around the whole circuit, not just sections.

So Bronze is good enough for me to pass and move on to the next license test.

Just have to complete my Super License now; but need more cash to buy premium 'super' cars!
 
Just finished the I-B license, got 40 golds now. IC-10 was hard, but for some reason I as stuck on IB-3 (the slalom) for longer. I was seriously frustrated by that one. Apart from that it was fairly quick, IB-10 is way easier than IC-10. This with a Logitech Driving Force Wireless.

I hate slaloms, I know I'm gonna have a hard time with those...
 
I'm gold in everything in B and A with the sixaxxis... except the %&$#ing slalom, still 8 tenths to go.

It sure would be nice if you could turn off the ghost car, that thing is VERY distracting.

For me, it's either the up or down arrow to turn on and off the ghost car while driving. Just push it during the license test.
 
60 Golds using cockpit view and the Driving Force Pro (used shifter only since the flappy paddles are broken).
No driving aids including ABS = 0 for National B, National A, and International C.
No driving aids except ABS = 1 for International B, International C, and Super.

Time to complete the Special Events up to Lv15 and actually do my first A-Spec race.

All events except S8, S9 and S10 have been done with DualShock 3.
S8, S9 and S10 were done with Logitech G25..

S8 was the hardest of all licenses (imo)
 
Still can't believe it, but i got it!!! (First time ever - playing since GT1 :dunce:)
First time with a wheel though (G25)

The S-license was unbelievably easy, nothing with the likes of IC10 etc. Only the Tokyo challenge on S took me more than three tries to get gold. Overall I thought the IB license was the hardest of them all (cone slalom and carrousel).

Will post a picture if I find myself a camera (don't have phone2pc iphone cable at the moment). But won't we be able to see our profiles online pretty 'soon' ?
 
Just got the game today and played a few hours. Got about 13 golds so far. That A3 slalom is already driving me mad. I'll probably need my G25 to beat it.

Never fully golded a GT game before, but I'll give it a serious try in GT5. Hopefully, I'll be in that list in no time :)
