Finally, I did it. Could you please, add me to the club when you have a chance? The most challenging and interesting for me were IC-10, IA-10, S8 and S4. The most difficult, but not much interesting - Toyota Slalom which I finished last (and it took a while too)...
Thanks!

Unreal coincidence. Those were exactly what I considered the most challenging and in the end interesting/fun. And Slalom was the last gold for me too and I thought it was a chore! It took a lot of attempts to get the Slalom gold. I normally race in the "hood" view and had to change to Dial view and ABS=0 for that one. DS3 user too??

Finally got a gold on the Toyota Slalom last night and now have all 60 golds in the license tests. I was surprised that I got my gold S license weeks ago but the Toyota Slalom and a few of the rally/snow tests were giving me the most trouble.

@ebud007:
No, actually I was using Logitech Driving Force GT Wheel. Automatic transmission for all the licenses... Kudos to those who finished/golded all the tests in several days. For me personally it wasn't easy at all and took many-many evenings to complete... :)

After completing most of the game, I went back to finish off the rest of the Gold Licenses. Cone Slalom #2 was the last to get done and I had to use the wheel. All of the other golds were obtained using the DS3. This completes the full set of gold licenses for me going back to GT1.

Okay leaderboard updated, it's been too long.

I think I will have a crack at gold junkies soon. I'm amazed to see I still have two times in the top 5 from my initial run through.

Got my 60th gold last night. All were done with a G25, manual gears, no traction control and ABS 1. All were done on the first run through (as in without having to go back to them another day having moved on without gold) apart from IC-3 and IC-10.

Good for you Goforgold. I am currently on license S-8. I have three left, S 8, 9, and 10 and then I will be Golden! There are a lot of tough tests in the licenses but S-8 is proving to be one of the toughest. With multiple hours racing and restarting I am getting closer. This one has taken quite a while to get to the point where you know you have a chance. I can get by the red Lambo or Ferrari (not sure which it is) before that left bend. That puts me behind the Jaguar I think and it's taking me too long to get past him. I should be by him on the second of the right hand bends, but I can't manage it yet. It's coming though, now I can feel it. For the first few hours I felt nothing, it was like a ran into a road block. I use a DS3 and can only guess what driving with a wheel is like. I've had some tips from my friend (at least I consider him my friend though we've never met) Stune5. I try not to watch his tests until I have golded myself, but there have been about 8 tests that I needed some help. You can get close to the gold but never get it unless you know the subtle tricks. This is the first GT that I have ever owned. It's proving to be a very good investment. Sad thing is that in March Tiger Woods Masters Edition comes out and that will get most of my gaming attention. Congrats to all who have Golded!

My tips for S8:

1. Draft the Corvette at the start till you're at 132 mph, then upshift and pass on the right.

2. At the first turn, brake late till you're past the Pagani Zonda, then try and keep as much speed while riding the curb on the outside. You may have to lightly pump the brakes to stay on a constant turning radius around the R8 and the Aston Martin. You'll want to end up within drafting distance of the Maserati after the first turn.

3. Brake late inside left in the first left of the Esses to get past the Maserati. You'll need to stay left, and brake late lightly to pass the F430.

4. Ignore the squealing, you can carry a lot more speed through the esses than the Lambo will. You should end up right behind the XJ220 at the left bend. He'll pull away from you a bit with the Spyker, let him. You'll need to stay inside them both at the first right bend, and ride the curb inside trying to avoid contact while drifting onto the outside curbing. If you hit it perfect, you can get past the Jag and Spyker, otherwise pass the Spyker inside on the second right bend in 2nd gear. Accelerate under the bridge, you should hit the timing line after the bridge right around 1:06.

5. Make sure to take the hairpin turn smoothly, and try to carry as much speed as possible.

6. If you're able, you can sometimes catch the Skyline in the middle of the sweeping left turn before the long straight, otherwise, try and get close enough to catch a draft down the straight. You should be able to take the bend in the straight at just over 100 mph, if you are still behind the Skyline and California, brake hard inside and beat them to the chicane. It's a race to the finish from there.

i pretty much golded s8 in the same way, on point 2 i braked hard on the line on the road and dove inside the zonda then took the audi and aston on the outside.

i managed to get right on the jag by the top of the hill, they took off up the left then i braked early like the driving line suggests and threw it left making the 90deg right pretty straightlined, and managed to take the jag on the inside of the next tight right and outbraked the spyker round the hairpin, after that it was outbraking the nissan and ferrari to make up some distance until the chicane and outbraked and passed them on the chicane

it was probably the most retry'd test of all, S4 coming close second and IA10 a third. IB3 was prob the most frustrating tho by far

Thanks Edgecrusher. Any info or tips are great. From what seemed impossible when I first starting going for golds is now not so daunting. It's still very difficult but if you've started it as many times as I have....well it better be getting a little easier.

Once I get past the Lambo before the left bend the Jag takes off a little and there's more separation. I have to take the first of the two right bends faster and more efficient to possible pass him on the inside on the 2nd of the two rights, just before the bridge. It's just a matter of time before I win that one. I'm sure everyone has been through it before. They can be tough but with perseverance we know we will get through it. Very rewarding when you do.

Again I appreciate those who take time to help.
