This morning 1:12am CDT I finally put license test S-8 in the books. It felt great to pass the last two cars entering the chicane but it also feels like I've lost an old friend. It wasn't the cleanest race but with that one it's hard to go bump free.

I'm going to watch a few runs on YouTube because I think mine was a little unorthodox. If someone could tell me the best way to put the race on Youtube I would appreciate it. It looks like most are just filming the t.v.

Two more gold left! Man, I feel like a King!

Finally got around to upgrading the last of my silvers this week. Most of the license tests weren't too hard, was especially disappointed with the S-class being too easy. Toughest event for me was the double hairpin at Indy, did it to death with no luck and busted out the ol' DS3 and like 4th or 5th try it was done. Now on to getting all the special event golds!

Well it's over. 60 golds. I have to say that it was a lot of fun. Very trying at times but there was always a point after restarting over and over where you knew you could do it. Everything just comes together after you put your time into knowing the other cars lines and where you need to be to give yourself a shot at the gold. After some of my bumps and crashes it would say "disqualified" and after a while I swear restart started looking like retard. Which wouldn't have been far off if you would see some of the DQ's. Half falling asleep running into the back of the 11th place car while drafting him about 10 seconds into the race.

I guess it's on to other things now. I will have to take a picture of the proof and put it up here.
 
I didn't start playing GT5 until December 21, 2010. I earned all Golds in the License Tests on December 26, 2010. I earned Gold on the Sebastian Vettel Challenge at Monza and Nurburgring sometime in January, and I earned the Silver Trophy at Suzuka on January 26, 2011.

It took me many tries before I finally earned the Gold Trophy in the Sebastian Vettel Challenge at Suzuka on February 12, 2011. I am 63 years old, and I thought that I would never accomplish this feat, but I kept at it and finally got it. This was the most frustrating event I have ever attempted in a video game.

Either compress the file as a .zip and attach here or host at www.imageshack.us or similar.

@Stevisiov, not to be a knob, but do you know you've listed a couple of members twice in the OP list.

I just got all 60 gold. I think it was easier than GT4, I remember in GT4 a couple of tests taking me 4-5 hours for 5 or 6 nights in a row to get gold and I'm pretty sure it took me a good few weeks of hardcore playing to get them. I am busier than I was back then so it's taken me about 3 weeks, but I've gone for days without playing and never really spent more than probably 5 hours on one, that one being IC-10!

Did it all with TCS and all assists off except for ABS 1 with my GT3 RS wheel, was a great way to learn how to use the wheel, don't think I could ever go back to a DS3 now.

For anyone who is having trouble with IC-10 it helps to go buy the Ferrari 512 and run practice laps for half an hour cos you get used to the handling of the car without having to restart every time you lose it. And that way you'll know how to drive the 2nd half of the circuit when you don't crash in the first.

Finally got it done...all with the DS3. Same challenges as everyone else but as others have noted, it seemed a bit easier than GT4 (and GT3 for that matter!):

Now I'm gonna upload my times to Gold Junkies and GTRP...and then wait for holl01 to come and smash them all :crazy:

I'd like to point out and say it again:

The times for IC10 , IB10 and IA10 are calculated by combining the first lap that you get from the replay and the time at replay threatre.
On the other hand , the IC9 , IB9 and IA9 + whole S licence can be taken directly from replay theatre.

Last friday I was at my friends house playing GT5 with DS3 and I golded following licence tests pretty easily:
B5 , B6 , B7 , IC1 , IC2 , IC3 , IC4 , IC5 , IC6 , IC7 , IC8 , IC9 , IC10 , IB1 , IB2 and IB3.
(Those includes many licence tests consired the most difficult to gold with controller. I still seem to remember how to do it with controller from the GT5P_WRS days.)

Now , to return to my previous post. This part specificly:

The DS3 and Sixaxis are 2 completely different controllers when it comes to feedback.
Vibration feedback , one has it , the other doesn't.
This is a disadvantage that makes sixaxis the most difficult controller for GT5.

I ofcourse see this as a challenge and will try to complete the licence tests on my alternative account with it.

Got bored last night after completing the Seasonal Events and decided to finish getting my golds. Had all of IA, except for IA-9, left to get. Took me about an hour, but I'm finally in the club. 👍
 
The latest update made bumping into opponents not a disqualify reason,only bumping into walls.I finished the last 2 special license tests i had left because of this new feature.Can someone confirm this?

I'll confirm this. Just finished doing S-license and bumping into other cars didn't get me disqualified :)
 
Made a new account, started first license Friday around noon finished all 60 gold Saturday early afternoon using ds3 with 7 sensitivity. Now I'm worried i won't get AMG and Vettel all gold without spending so much time doing it over and over.
