Remember this video? Where is this livery?

Not necessarily a race mod. Looks more like it had a few decals added to it and nothing else.

Maybe it was an early stage of a livery editor, as the wing would have been from gt auto so maybe they were hoping to have option of putting decals on too but wasn't finished in time for release?

livery editor was expected in origin

When was that picture taken (year)? It's funny that half of that is still not in GT5 after lets say 5 years from that picture.

RM Mini Cooper? Where is it now!?
gt504-small.jpg

These is a fine example of a livery editor that was never implemented into GT5. I believe this because the picture doesn't seem to indicate that the Mini has been Race Modified.

I may be off base here and nothing but speculating (gasp), but I sure would like to know if that feature is somewhere buried in GT5 code.:)

Just a little thought I would like to put out there?

Its losely based on hacking but not asking any questions since I know your NOT supposed to be doing that in this thread or anywhere on GTPlanet.

Thats what am lead to belief by the AUP?
  • You will not use these forums for the purposes of sharing or distributing viruses, licenses, registration information, software keys, pirated commercial multimedia files, “cracks”, or other information designed to do harm to or allow unlawful access to any computer software or systems.
But by doing a simple google search for the past WEEK its certainly hit the headlines and it is looking to be hitting some hacking sites has you can see in this google LINK

Not saying anybody has got anywhere with it but now the idea and PROOF someone has cracked it, That I and my opinion think its a question of time that it will hit somewhere before long and then any thing thats available has DLC or bought/won will become available for FREE.:(

So if you look at that and all questions that people have asked in here in this one thread do you think that it could be the end of GT5 FUTURE DLC.

Anyway this is an opinion and its my opinion. And am sure now some of you have read this post it will probably be your opinion too.
Thanks for taking the time to read this. Bye for now.:)

What really interests me is that Kaz recently stated....

"Every Gran Turismo version is actually very different and made from scratch; we really go back to the drawing board for a lot of things. GT5 isn't necessarily a continuation of GT4, and the next game won't necessarily be a continuation of GT5."

https://www.gtplanet.net/gran-turis...e-kazunori-yamauchis-2012-gtplanet-interview/

Which kinda contradicts the code from previous versions theory for GT6.

What do you guys think?

It's also complete crap, because they included mostly GT4 modelled cars and called them "standards". Lol

Off topic, sorry.

He may be referring to the engine on which the game runs on, not to mention other aspects that are "behind the scenes" of the game. Just because someone uses some of the same "graphics", doesn't mean they implemented them the same way as they did in the earlier version; ie, handling/physics.

Not saying anybody has got anywhere with it but now the idea and PROOF someone has cracked it, That I and my opinion think its a question of time that it will hit somewhere before long and then any thing thats available has DLC or bought/won will become available for FREE.:(

This is what I fear, the community getting into the game for mal-intent. This causes devs to stop support. If they feel their game has become "open/hacked", it's over, it's not secure anymore and time to move on to the next iteration.

You guys do realise that yes what Zorg did shows what PD never put in GT5 and that it could possibly be a big thing coming. But needles to say it's stepping over the boundaries of PD and can cause a stir with PD and Kaz. Kaz may never have wanted anyone to reveal this information and could very well take action, Such as dropping GT5 of seasonals DLC and updates aswell as taking action to GTP for posting this thread. I'm just scared Kaz will be furious at this when he sees this.

As with most secrets, once revealed, Crisis can ensue. In the Chinese language, Crisis mean one of two things - DANGER or OPPORTUNITY.

I'm hopeful that Kaz will be relieved that this info is out. Now he may be able to move forward with a bit more creativity. Out of the box so to speak.

Is the glass half empty or half full...? A Perspective issue. I remain hopeful...

But on another note it could also be seen has breaking a lot of the copyright issues?

Just like when you buy a DVD the information on it is copyrighted and you do not have the right to distribute it or put it in a public place.
You only need to look at the information you get blasted with when you start to watch something on DVD/Blueray?

Now do not get me wrong, But the information on the GT5 disc and its copyrights is unknown to me but with this thread and what has been said am unsure where the blame would lie if something came out?
Chat soon bye for now.:)

EDIT:
Just tried to do a little bit of investigating on this matter reagarding whats wrote on the back of the case?
Found a picture that if you click the link it will show the copyrights notice?
http://www.covergalaxy.com/forum/at...292929196-gran-turismo-5-cover-pal-uk-gt5.jpg
So am presuming it would fall into the same catorgory has the information on the disc would be the property of PD/Sony?

Yeah me too, Thats why I posted the link with google becuase its been a week or so and its starting to get other sites interested?

Unless sorg reveals how he did it he isn't enabling anything. Other hackers can post about it but they're no closer to doing it themselves.

My only concern with all of this "going public" now, is that when PD catch wind of it all, they might withdraw the ability of us copying/backup our gamesave file. Especially now that DLC items are being openly traded. Always two edges to a sword...

Sorry Simon I don,t fully understand your question?

Now if I understand your question correctly and what you mean, Well by him exploring the disc and its contents and distibuting them he has broken copyright laws since the information on the disc is the property of PD/Sony?
Also if thats the case its also GTPlanet who are breaking the law also simply allowing it to be veiwing to the general public. (They could be seen has particpating in the matter?)
Now thats only if the information on the disc is the sole property of PD/Sony.
If it was my information that was being distributed I would be serving a DMCA takedown notice?

Like I say am not 100% clear on who owns the information on the GT5 disc but its my presumption it would be like any DVD/Blueray you would buy?

And I beggar to differ on that one. (Bolded section?)
Cheers chat soon bye for now.:)

Totally agree.👍

The only two features that aren't technically in the game are the Team and Club Builders, the rest of them we have in some form or another. Even then, many members form their own clubs and teams anyway, so really nothing is 'missing' from this list.

Free run = Track days.

Bulletin Board is on the Main Menu screen.

Livery Editor - We can change the number on some race cars as well as the colours of some decals and stripes (thought not individually from the rest of the bodywork). You can also put a livery on a car by performing the racing modification. Same as being able to choose between 1-99 on some number plates.

Race Builder could be construed as either the track creator, or the options we have in an online room (such as certain car types, PP levels etc).

Some of the above interpretations may seem feeble, but you know what Kaz is like with descriptions and false expectations.

Sorg, I wonder if you can find anything based on the flag system that we've seen in some demo versions of the game? I wonder if PD completely binned the idea or whether waved flags still remain on the disc, but just locked out.

Oh come on, you know what he means with a livery editor and we don't have one. We also don't have a number plate editor. lso people forming their own teams outside the game isn't the same thing as it being an in game feature.

Nah, changing the number is not even close to a livery editor. And if they look at PC sims, they are so close to be able to do something about it:

Every car on every game have it's own texture file.

Just make a button IMPORT > EXPORT that sends the texture to the PS3 menu. Copy into your pen drive, edit on your PC then import it back.

I KNOW it's not accessible and it's NOT a livery editor but it would work for GT5 now.

Plus, imagine all paintjobs being shared here on GTP, for example.

Looks simple... maybe its not.

well, sorry for the OT.

Alright, back on topic. My thoughts on this..

Since sorg has "uncovered" this, I'm just gonna say that Prolouge is the "demo" to GT5, and GT5 is the "demo" to GT6. Even though we may get a Spec III update within the next couple of months, I don't know if these things will be implemented. I mean, why wait so late in the game's life to add these things that the community wanted from the jump.

So, while I would like these things to be in GT5--which would breathe SO much life back into the game..my opinion--I'm not gonna set myself up to be disappointed. I'll just wait for GT6.

I see it like this...
GT1 and GT2 was on PS1. Wasn't GT2 better?
GT3 and GT4 was on PS2. Was GT4 better? In my opinion..
GT5 and GT6(hopefully) on PS3. I'm assuming GT6 will be better.

The odd numbers are like the "betas" to the actual product, the even numbered Gran Turismos..QUOTE]

I think also that the Odd number releases of GT had Maps for navigation vs the menus of the even numbered releases. I've always preferred the menu's to the maps which always left me confused finding things. Just me though, easily confused...:sly:

Wow, ever since Sorg has started this thread, strange things have been happening. Previously untradable Academy cars are now popping up in the Market Place and now the previously untradable Academy 12 suit is in the Market Place. Strange coincedence....I don't think so, lol.

Oh come on, you know what he means with a livery editor

You mean just like with the tracks and locations? And the premium and standard cars? :dunce:

Look how "clear" that lot was before the game came out. As I said, those interpretations were truly feeble, but this is Kaz's descriptions we're talking about. They've never really been near to the actual or the expected outcome.
