My 2 cents:

- first minutes in game and oh boy! It felt like home. Haven't played a GT game in a while and then the first 30minutes were a blast! The soft jazz in the background while browsing around the menus, the horn sound when a race start, the random prize car wheel, the pleasure of first checking every car dealer... all made a great drive down the memory lane. So many memories playing this game for so many years...

- now the game itself: the visuals are gorgeous, the sound I think is better than GT6, but still GTish (just like somebody mentioned), and it seems one may get countless hours messing around with the scapes, replay modes, livery editing let alone the racing itself.
The down part: racing online felt exciting at first, untill some other driver hit you in the first corner mayhem we all know there's in multiplayer. Having to be online for everything suck big time. The ups and downs from the serves are a pain in the a**. I do know it's a beta and one of the purposes of it, it's to test the servers. But still, it sucks big time. Also having to wait for a race to start is no good. Again, I understand that's how matchmaking works, but it may come a moment when doing warm up laps before a race is gonna get boring.
Got see how can we live with the sport mode instead of the good old campaign mode.

The GTS demo page on the PSN says non-PS+ should be unlocked 6pm PST. Well it's past 9pm EST and I still can't download it. Can someone explain? I had a 10 hour day at work and I'm extremely upset right now. How long do I have to wait?

So, its 8:00 on my end annnnnd, I can't download it as a non PS+ Member. Anyone else with this issue?

Edit: Well I take that back, now I'm downloading it..

I feel your pain, my friend... been waiting to donwload this as I'm not a PS+ user. Spent a few hours on Forza 7 and right now, as the advertised time passed us by, we're still unable do download it...

So unfortunate...

Yeah buddy. Looks like I gotta wait too.

Actually, you can now

Downloading now!!! Just became fully free for all users! Unfortunately, my 10mbit connection will take some long 14 hours to download it. So I'll have a good night of sleep and play it tomorrow morning.

Interestingly mine still says PS+ exclusive, here in PDT.

When I click on download it sends me to PS plus subscription page? Is anyone else having same issues?

30 hours on my end. There goes any hope I had for a milestone car today :(

The mission challenge with the Porsche 911 RSR GTE is by far the best race I've ever done in the history of GT. I didn't even win, I had to quit because I had to run to the shop to get children's Motrin for my sick Nephew.

The track was great, the AI was great, the car felt great. Seriously, I'm having loads of fun and it's just a demo.

Who else having an issue with t300rs? Wheel feels very heavy, even if you turn FFB sliders down to 1. It’s so heavy it is imposible to drift without injuring yourself:) I hope this bug will be fixed in final release.

Hey Everyone, I am enjoying GT Sport like everyone! Keen to hear thoughts on Rallying - previous iterations its been frustrating as it always felt like I was driving on ice irrespective of the surface. So, one of the first things I tried was rally, and I must say it felt much much better. Felt I could control the slide and drift with throttle and slip angle, so even happier with GT. Thoughts?

I had a go with that challenge too and I agree, the car feels amazing. The track is a blast and the AI put up a decent fight. Unfortunately I didn't get to finish the race either as I had to put my son to bed, but as soon as I get a chance to play the demo again, I'm finishing that race.

The demo is fantastic so far, much improved from the beta. I can't wait for the full release.

Sorry to say after more time in the racing/driving - once you get to the unrealistic fantasy cars - the VGTs etc, then the real arcade nature of the engine comes though.

The AI are on rails - I did an experiment trying to knock the AI offline, its not happening - but put an aggressive pass on an AI car on the inside and within a corner or 2 the car has tried to pit maneuver you and oddly enough your car is not on rails and spins out.

Then you can 'wall ride' the AI to victory if you need to, wall riding offers no penalty to the outcome of the race.

Even as a hot lap game its not really there. The tire model is still very arcade like.

I suppose it will appeal to that certain sector of the race game market, but after 20 years GT is not where it should be.

Feels for all the world like an HDR GT5/6. Which is not a bad thing in and of itself. I will enjoy taking the street cars for time trial sessions, but to be honest can't be bothered with the racing aspects. The in race and scapes photos will be fun and enjoyable part as well.

I wonder if the change time zone trick will still work like it did in the closed beta. When I get home from work. I have 30 minutes to get my daily reward done, before the clock strikes midnight. In the beta, I could change my time zone to PST, and give me a two hour window. Once that was done, I could change it back to CST, then work on that days daily reward.

Have played the demo not too impressed. Mx5 handles like a boat instead of the sure footed drive it offers in real life. Ill play with it until the time ends but im glad I bought pcars to instead of this.

^This^ - I do not understand why the cars are such rubbish? I just did the online race in the MX5 - besides teh fact it is a wallowing sliding POS that does not resemble the real car in any way shape or form, I got tagged with penalties 3 times for people ramming into ME.

The bloody penalty system is pretty stupid. If you try race clean then the aggressive drivers get away with initiating contact by bashing through from the inside.

That is 3 online races - all 3 ended up punted into the weeds by ramming morons.

You guys your problem is that you havr no sense of the speed with the slow cars and driving on 110% of its capebilleties. A real standard car is also a handfull when driving on max on a track whitout driving aids......

That GTR test “getaway in Tokyo” super nice hoe the car feels! Very nice to “place” the car into the corners! But not gold yet.........
