What car is that?

Nissan GTR? Gt300 perhaps??

That sounds just like it was in GT5... unless they're telling us all the DLC will be free?

I read it as it will streamline the process of getting the DLC. Ex: Patch comes out with say the new Lamborghini. It will appear in the Lambo dealership post-patch next to the Aventador. The Aventador's price will be cr. 1000000 or whatever. The new car will be $1.99 with a PS Store icon next to it. Selecting the car in the dealership adds the car to your cart, pops open the store checkout window, and you make your purchase and download the 100 kb file, thus unlocking the car in-game.

One possible interpretation is that you can buy the cars straight from the dealerships and that you won't have to buy and download them from the PSN store. Not sure how that would work though, because I guess you still have to pay for the DLC. Unless GT6 will have some sort of integrated functionality with the PSN store?

Its really a pity that Top Gear is gone. Especially now as they introduced teleportation and could remove the invisible barriers...

But at least we get a Statos, love the Stratos.

Shame about the Top Gear Test Track. But as the BBC don't own the track could it not be rebranded as say Dunsfold Park or are there too many legal issues with the BBC.

Was Bathurst ever confirmed for GT6, or was it only ever rumor ? I was a little disappointed to not see it in the new tracks list, or is that, because they're just the day one tracks then Bathurst might follow on as DLC ?

I hope they release some track editor news soon too :)

Has there been any mention of a collector's edition like they did with GT5? Or is the 15th Anniversary Edition all they are offering?

Considering the Vision GT trailer, I feel a copywriter probably should've went over this line on the official GT6 page again:

Car modeling on an different scale
Where only the real are selected

They haven't released an official car and track list as of yet, so be patient. If it isn't mentioned at Gamescom, it could be mentioned at TGS

The BBC can't do exclusive deals - so the Top Gear track being gone is PD not renewing the license.

Just noticed the pairing off of the Karma and Z8 in the trailer; nice nod to their designer 👍

Anybody else a bit confused by this:

"New Cars on Sale" now in-game
Additional vehicles distributed in a new way
After the release of Gran Turismo 5, over 30 cars were released as both free-of-charge or paid DLC. From the Corvette C7 Test Prototype, to the Scion FR-S, to the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 and to the Red Bull X2011 Prototype, the hottest new cars were added to the line-up and made available to everyone via download from the PlayStation®Store.
Gran Turismo 6 will contain approximately 1200 cars at time of release, and more and more cars are planned to be added thereafter. Unlike the previous title, the added cars will appear directly in the dealerships after an update, and will be available to purchase in game. You will be able to enjoy driving the newest cars right after they are released in the market."

My guess would be that the cars would appear in game in a patch and then it would have a easy "give us money for this" button in game. So you don't have to go to the store to buy.

Noticed that too,and there was a quote that suggested all the Vision GT cars will be free DLC as well. That can't be right

Well, honestly, I do assume all Vision GT cars will be for free because it's all about promoting the cars and the partnership. Most people wouldn't want to pay for some concept cars they've never heard of. It's in everyone's best interest that they're all for free. Regular DLC cars are a different story though.

They probably realised it sucked. 👍

Kidding aside though, Top Gear probably just wanted to end the partnership.

:P Didn't really care much for that track anyway.
Besides, they could 'hide' the track within the game code (like they did with a particular car in one of their games in the past) ;)

further i suspect this means DLC cars will be added as AI, etc, so you can see them in the storefront and also potentially on-track without paying for them, just need to pay to drive.

Can anyone answer my question though? Will I now be getting the 25 cars if I ordered it when there was just 20 cars? I'm assuming yes since it's the same link I ordered from but I just want to be sure. I want to get the 25 and not the 20 if I'm paying the same price from the same place.

I think we achieved 33 locations already.

Makes sense of course 👍

Anybody see this under the technology section on GT's website?

Aerodynamics
The down force, lift and air resistance – which continually changes according to the shape of the car – changes in vehicle attitude and its relationship with the ground surface, have all been recreated to a level of precision never seen before. Keen players will probably start to feel the airflow around the car as they drive.

This makes it seem like aero will be affected by car damage. Hint of a better damage model?

No one cares to discuss new physics?
