Sony's GameCom line-up: GT5 not in the list

not sure if this has mentioned cuz im not going to read through 8 pages of useless fanboy stuff but Kaz is going to be at pebble beach (laguna seca) this weekend for the montery historics driving a ZR1 infront of press promoting GTPSP so something tells me nothing major will be announced this weekend with the main man out having fun in a ZR1 and not at games con. oh well guess this helps me with my odds of TGS but then again i could be wrong

No this hasn't been mentioned, very nice news (he was there last year too) but not so much for gamecom as we wont get KY interviews on GT5. Got a source of this information?
 
Sony press conference is Tuesday 7PM (GMT +1) which he might not be a part of anyway. He could make it after pebble beach, he sure will be busy.
 
Kaz has the crappiest job around! I would hate to be him, play video games all day and go drive the best cars ever produced on the best tracks ever paved... poor guy.

I guess you could say his lifestyle is akin to a celebrity, i bet it gets stressfull at times, he has so much to do, so many places to be. Not to mention i bet he's bored of cars by now, it's all his life is. Wonder if he's married or even has a girl for that matter?
 
I bet Kaz hears, WHERE is Porsche, where is damage, where is car mods, where is GT5 X 5 many times a day.

It doesn't seem to be much else with how much car related stuff he has going on. Not to mention that article a few weeks back mentioning how he was only at home like 2 days a year, the rest of the time he was in PD studio working on GT, he would sleep there, then wake up and carry on work. That's dedication for ya.
 
Yeah, it's going to be some kind of surprise I'm guessing. Either that or we'll just get word that it will be featured at the show.

Also, does anyone know where I could possibly watch a live stream video?
 
For E3 show, Justin.tv had it with no LAG problems. But I bet IGN will show it as well. Someone will post a link here for next week.

Polyphony decided not to show much of GT5 at the E3 so it wont overshadow GT:Mobile. And since GT:mobile isn't released yet i guess they will do the same this time.
I guess we will have to wait till the TGS to get new info, and even then i'm afraid it will be only 1 trailer again.

I hope not. My idea is news on GamesCom and stands full of PS3's running GT5 on TGS. If not, that means the game will not be released this year :(

Yeah as far as I know, isn't TGS the last big game show of the year? We all know GTPSP doesn't come out til October, and with TGS being in September....they're going to have to make a choice.

Either reveal GT5 next week....or just reveal parts of it next week and do the rest at TGS....I think either way GT5 is going to overshadow GTPSP.....would've been better if PSP Go! and GTPSP were released, say earlier this month or early next month and not in October.

I believe that was in the making of GT1.

Although it might still apply, i was watching the GT section of E3 last night and he does look a bit overworked, really thin too, compared to GT1 days.
 
Good news... just skipped to the end of the latest 1up podcast, and well "A huge Sony game is going to be at GC and is coming out this year..." I wonder what he could be referring to...hmm. For a minute I thought it was EyePet but then I released it was... well you know.
 
Its 1Up, it could also just be Uncharted 2 which is already announced for this year and the GamesCom. :lol:

It could also be Heavy Rain and, of course, yes, GT5 (which i doubt).

I am going to have to say, no and no. Uncharted 2 is confirmed to be this October. Heavy Rain is confirmed to be 2010. Neither of those are secrets. On the podcast (kinda just blabling and not worth much imo), the guy who was talking about this game, said he was not allowed to reveal its title because he would get in a severe amount of trouble. Honestly, there are almost no possibilities besides GT5. What, Syphon Filter, no way. Jak 4, Naughty Dog is too busy with Uncharted. Resistance 3, too soon. SotC sequel, 2010 at the earliest. LBP 2, I highly doubt it. All those games would never make it before this year.

My post in the news thread pretty much logically explains why GT5 will probably come out this year.

I agree with you though and i was a bit sarcastic, it just wouldnt surprise me if its nothing special.
 
Also 4players.de (German videogame website, which in my opinion is quite reliable) stated today they're very certain of GT5 being shown at gamescom. Maybe G.T.Ace can correct me if I'm somehow wrong with that or elaborate on it...
