New section to be added to GTP: "Griffith500 Q&A" ... beware though not all the questions will be about sound generation .Wow.. that'd be really something!
@TayeezSA I cannot view these vids. Can you leave a Youtube URL or something?
If anyone makes it to PD they'll likely have to sign a non-disclosure agreement and we'll get the same level of communication from that that we get from the rest of PD now...zippo.So; how are the applications going?
Will @Griffith500 be based at the Tokio office, and become the first true inside source at the PD offices that will report back to this forum to answer questions?
I can neither confirm nor deny this.If anyone makes it to PD they'll likely have to sign a non-disclosure agreement and we'll get the same level of communication from that that we get from the rest of PD now...zippo.

At least Michelle says it once!
PD sees the future, VACUUM CLEANERS are electric and the Cars of the future are electric .The question should go like this: WHY DO THE CARS SOUND LIKE VACUUM CLEANERS?
EDIT: I don't mean to come off as an idiot, I just thought it was the most sarcastic way to ask them since they've been giving vague answers to the 'sound question'. Of course don't ask them like that.
It's not the new sound. We're yet to get the full hit of that fruit.I wonder why brand new cars like the BMW M4 2014 and the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray (C7) 2014 sound worse than the BMW M3 2007 and the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 (C6) 2009? The sound on those 2014 cars is just awful, i could not drive them anymore so i traded them for older ones. If this is the new sound, please stop, just leave the game as it is, the GT6 don't need more new cars with awful sounds.

To be fair the F82 M4 has a different engine type altogether, the E92 had a NA V8 in it, while the M4 has a Turbocharged I-6.
Well, they are placeholders!I know, but i don't understand why they add more cars with even more bad sound than the older models, i really hope they hiring some quality sound engineer, who will help them to get better quality on the overall sound, in my opinion, rest of the game is good quality, but it is pity that the sound is so far behind quality wise.

All of the cars being added are effectively using samples / sample sets that were made for other cars in previous games. This is presumably because the sounds being authored for the new method take up enough time that PD don't want to make new samples in the old method, too. Nor do they seem to want to spend too much time browsing the database of existing samples to find a good match.
I like very much gt, but when i listen the impreza sti i feel angreebecause my 2.0 forester sounds better)
They must work on it...
@IngRobNy For the ultimate thrill and experience in game engine audio you must pick up FM4. If you can get an X1, even better: pick up both FM5 and H2 (when it arrives).
The two cars you mentioned sounding horrible is ironic.. IRL they are an earful and the engine/exhaust notes would give you instant goose bumps. I think they are just trying to keep fans occupied and pleased until they find a real solution for sound in GT7. They say they have so to speak.. but how they plan to implement it remains to be seen. Unlike T10 or Codies, I don't think they're revealing much before release anyway. But that can change, we'll have to wait.
I assure you once you get addicted to Forza, the audio and physics will make you want to play it over and over. Course' there's no guarantee you won't miss GT's "trippy" tracks.
They're not really placeholders, are they...Well, they are placeholders!
