Speculation/Rumor: GT5 C-Spec

I would be massively impressed if PD brought us the opportunity to drive some of the greatest roads on Earth. Even where I live, The Peak District in England, there are some amazing roads which would be great to experience virtually.

C-Spec is Sunday Drive mode.

I liked the motorway ssr8 they added, I would have liked it to have day and night transitions, and have other motorists driving around, just so it'd be like bombing it down the motorway...

If they ever implemented c-spec in traffic then they would have to re work the physics engine, since at stop and go the current physics do not work. You all know what happens when you try to drive away from a stopped position without spinning the wheels... It's not possible with the current physics.

I have no problem with not spinning the wheels. In my Daihatsu Midget.

Wasn't the London just a tech demo for The Getaway that got scrapped? I'd like to see an open world side though, can guarantee it would be set in Japan tho, maybe around the Tokyo track as in the end credits video...

I'd love to have the open world set in the mountains of Japan. Beautiful scenery and it allows for irresponsible touge driving :sly:

Anyways, we're not going to see this any time soon, so it's all wishful thinking.

Piotrov is right. It's impossible, no matter how slowly you start, to not slip wheels (you can hear this well by cranking up the volume and using the "roof" camera). This also causes the car to drift sideways even on very slight slopes while starting and prevents light cars equipped with comfort tires to climb pronounced slopes that wouldn't pose a problem in real life. Low speed tire physics are noticeably flawed in GT5.

I would like to see some real life roads, like the transfergarresen highway in romania and other such roads. With or without traffic, i dont mind

Can't we just first have all that we expected from this game....after waiting for five years, before this guy starts his newest uninteresting adventure.

I hope they add something, soon, because as much as I love this game, I'm getting sick of playing the same thing over and over.

It does sound really neat though. Maybe he will include funerals when you die In a car crash.

Lol

I would absolutely love some sort of free driving mode to test the wonderful cars of GT5 on. I imagine some sort of twisty mountain road with light traffic, riding in my RUF yellowbird. What could be better?

That said, a city level with heavier traffic sounds like great fun too. I really hope this happens. The DRIVING simulator!

Play GTA 4 and you have an existing traffic/ city simulator.

It sounds like the driving roads thing might be too complicated to be part of GT5, but it could make for an interesting game on its own. Some parts of the world are known for having very good driving roads. Maybe a player would be able to choose one region from a list and just explore & race there. It would be like TDU, but with smaller areas that have more variety.

If PD did this with 200 premium-esque cars and didn't worry about standards, it could be very nice.

Uhmm this is a simulator ? If you want street race action go play Midnight Club LA which is the very best street race game for the PS3. There is no better simulator then GT5 for the PS3. GTA IV is just for fun. Have you ever seen how the car goes when you take a corner ? Lol.

What the hell do you think Simulation means? :ouch:
It means to replicate real life instances, objects, actions... etc.

Sounds like a GT Sim City to me.

I'm not sure how. Are you even familiar with Sim City? Sim City has you starting from an empty expanse of land and build up a metropolis. Build a power plant, lay some roads, zone some residential areas, tweak your local tax structure, set budgets, install a water system, et cetera. I really don't see what this hypothetical C-Spec has in common with Sim City at all.

A-Spec
B-Spec
C-Spec

Erm..., yes. You got that in alphabetical order correctly. Nicely done.
👍
