SpeedART- Birthday Update!

Well can I just say that I am exstatic about this next update, I have been working my socks off especially on cleaning. Infact I am so excited that I thought I would show you a preview of it. I know this shot is also in H2H 51 but I thought I would like to know what you think of it. Now of course I am working on LMP1 cars as well as the ever popular LMGT1 & LMGT2's. So enjoy!

Check my Profile. ;)
Cool, I checked it, I hope you enjoy it.
wow its really cool.
You did a good thing with this one :D
Thanks RealWeirdo.
lol, I don't like taste updates, but the Zonda looks interesting indeed.

I know you don't like previews of updates but I thought seeming people in the competition are going to see it I might as well post it in my gallery. Thanks for the compliment though.

The Le Mans update at the moment is going to plan I just have to organise and choose which ones I am going to show and which ones I am not, which will be hard as I want to show all of them . The update could be up on either Friday or Saturday at the rate I am going.

Well, I already told you that this shot is great in the competition thread.
I'll say it again though. This shot is great Speedy. :D

Look forward to the full update. 👍

Thanks TW! Nearly done all the pictures but I have an essay to write so they may be delayed. Thanks again TW!

I don't like them because they make me get impatient lol, just that!

Salu2.alexwrc

Calm down as I said its nearly done......:)

Personally I think my cleaning skills have some what improved recently but then again if you look at my tourney entry (Clio) you start to think other wise.....But hopefully I can get back into gear with this update.

EDIT: Finished the shots now creating and thinking of the presentation style, this may take a while....

Thanks for your comment jgd9rs! Well you will be glad to hear that the first part of the update is finished, so here it is!

I wish I could show you more than just this as they all seem to look quite good but these 3 are my favourites of each class. You will see the others eventually (Part 2/3) but I think these will do for now.

With these shots I didn't want to go overboard with editing. As I said a while back all the blurs in this update are GT4 blur which are actually very realistic. All the shots aren't also the extreme sort of ones that I take they are more ordinary angles, I did this as I wanted to get the feeling of a photographer could have took them whilst the race was carried out. Thats why most are set back from the track and quite a distance from the car.

I hope you enjoy my Le Mans 24 Hour update!

OMG they all look great  ! The Ford GT is my favourite :).

The idea of snapping them with spectators in mind is a brilliant idea. The best and most exciting seat in the house is usually the circuit itself, and the pictures, for me, help to awaken the sounds and smells from some of my experiences over the years.

Nice update.

The Zonda shot is a little blotchy on the car and the lights on the GT40 are really badly pixellated but other than that this is spot on!

I especially like the lighting and simple angle of the first shot. The blur is just about right and the wheels really add a decent sense of movement to the image. Your lighting is getting better and better! 👍

Thanks Redgodzilla! Glad you liked the concept behind the update and it bought back memories of times you may have had that were similar. Thanks for dropping by!

These pictures look so great, the angle of the shots are astounding!
Thanks CNG! Seems like you are a very keen visitor of my gallery now! Seems strange that although the angles are fairly ordinary they seem to be good. I think that the reason behind this is the fact that you don't see "normal" angles very often in GT4 photomode galleries. Thats what I think anyhow. Thanks for dropping by though!
I like the first shot speedster502.
Same here, thats my favourite too. Hopefully, if you liked that one you will like some of the Pecarolo ones. Thanks for dropping by.

I can certainly agree about that and I have a explaination too, when I was cleaning that shot (Zonda) I expiremented with the dodge & burn tool which made it...well...erm...blotchy. With the GT I didn't actually know how I could clean up those horrificly pixelated lights so I left them.

Onto your second part of your comment. Really glad that you appreciated the simple angle of the 1st shot. The blur although good it wasn't done by me in photoshop as I may have said earlier. It was done through the game, personally I think the blur worked really well. The wheel blur was emphasised a bit more as I did select the wheels and just brighten them up a bit so then they stood out a bit more. I am also glad that you liked the lighting! Seems amazing to be getting thumbs up from the one of the few over lords of cleaning :) Thanks again Moglet!

lookin good! the pagani, its very clean, and looks like its going 250mph! the audi has good lighting, but its definatly not my fave. the ford gt is v.good, but my fave is the zonda.

congrats!

Thanks SimmiS! Glad to hear other people think the other ones are as good as the Audi. Usually people all favour the same one but it nice to see that other people like the other shots. Thanks though!

Actually, my schedule isn't so busy like you said earlier Speed

Anyway, I like that Audi a lot, looks clean and simple, nothing too complicated 👍

The Zonda, however, is a bit blurry. The front wheel seems to be off, be careful where you place it. If it doesn't work, try to enlarge it or something, as long as you get it in place. What I'd recommend trying is using the dodge and burn tool. With your Zonda for example, I would've filled the body and door lines with some black and run a line of dodge alongside the edges to give the effect that the car isn't one big part. Also, try to burn alongside the "Zonda" vinyl on the side. An easy way is to grab the polyg. lasso tool and select what you're going to dodge or burn 👍 Don't overdo it though, I only use the dodge and burn tools for lines like door lines or between reflections and for the rims. (Like my latest update, I burned the inside and dodged the inside) 👍 You may want to experiment with the dodge tool how to create light effects as well. Like on edges, to make them more to stand out or something, or on exhaust tips 👍

The GT looks really good. Only thing, which is easily done in a single minute, are the taillights. An easy way is to select the smudge tool and correct those polygones 👍

Keep up the good work Speedy

I don't want to sound like Cartman, this is just my opinion and have in mind that my taste is pretty weird, but If I had to choose one word to describe your photos it'd be - unatractive. Don't get me wrong because they're technically perfect... : )

Why am I saying this? Don't aske meeee :scared: :stoned: Don't be sad tho... : d

OMFG - absolute pro pics - ought to be a poster! You ought to enter that in a comp or even send it off to lm.com  👍

nice pictures, though, i doubt the ford gt lm spec 2 would be GT2. the road version is running a supercharger so im guessing the race cars are as well :P

Thanks Bram for your help and fitting in time into your "Busy Schedule" to view the gallery and the shots. I will try what you have said to do especially on the GT as those tail lights are unattractive. Thanks for your help Bram.

It's alright many people probably don't like my shots but thats all down to taste. Is it just this update that you find unattractive or the whole gallery? I will not be sad about it though it is just someone else's opinion.

Why thank you Zaine! I don't think any of my pictures would be good enough to send off to lm.com. But please remember I am still not as good as the real pro's like Bram, Moglet and 440 Charger. But thanks for your comment.

Thanks for your comment. I didn't really know where to put the GT and as if I didn't put it in GT2 there would only be 2 different types of cars in it. Thanks for your comment though.

Great shots speedster! the 1st Zonda shot is my favourite overall:tup: i do like the Audi and GT ones because of the cleaness of the decals and car overall:tup: :D

Cheers

p.s i will be checking all the updates i missed soon!

Maybe if your pictures weren't so cool, I would treat it like most of the other galleries here. :D
