SpeedART- Birthday Update!

I just had a peak and these last 3 shots look great. 👍

I'll comment in detail tomorrow. :)
Thanks Beerzy! I will do a more detailed reply when you post the more detailed review on them. Thanks for dropping by!

The cleaning is specially good in the Zonda's photo. The rest are good, but I definitely preffer the italian one :D

Salu2.alexwrc
The Zonda seems to be the most favoured one at the moment even though it is blotchy. Thanks for dropping by Alex!

It's easily one of your best updates so far, speedster.

They're not flawless of course, but really show you're improving and tryong new things, which is always good. One thing though. You should think of resizing all of them, mainly the Ford GT shot, it's just too big.

The R8 is a very simple shot, but works well. Car looks very clean, rims look nice too, only thing is there's not much to look at in the shot. It would probalby look more pleasing, even without any further changes, if the car was a bit more to the left or to the right in the shot, the centered car feels somewhat uneasy, it would compose it better. 👍

The Zonda is my favorite. I'd do the same on this one regarding left/right as explained above. Car also looks clean, blur looks very natural, the most realistic of the bunch.
Only flaws I see (worth mentioning) are the front wheel (like Bram said), and the car cutout on the rear wing.

The Ford GT has a great mood, lovely colors, and the rims look especially good. I love the light on this one. It's perhaps too soft looking. Did you use a median on it?
Also, the smudge tool is your friend when regarding jaggies like those seen on the rear lights. A size 5 at a ratio of 20 would take car of that easily. ;)

Why thank you Zaine! I don't think any of my pictures would be good enough to send off to lm.com. But please remember I am still not as good as the real pro's like Bram, Moglet and 440 Charger. But thanks for your comment.
The thing is, you shouldn't put yourself down like that. Each gallery is unique, so it's cool in it's own way. Would you think that this gallery would have over 14,000 views if it wasn't cool? Every gallery has something to offer, as the photographer usually post pictures that he is comfortable with. I wouldn't call others pro's, mainly because I don't view many others, these shots have thier own cool factor. This gallery is just perfect. I will now lie to my girlfriend and say I took all of these shots.

Nah JK. I can take good shots, but the post office took my USB. :grumpy:

I am going to split your comment down so I can answer questions easier.

Why thank you Beerzgood! How much would you recommend resizing them down to? But glad to hear that you think I am improving.

I will try that next time I take a shot at a side angle. Thanks for your comment though.

Wow! Another Zonda shot lover it seems! What do you mean by the car cut out on the rear wing?

No, I did not apply a median to that shot, I used another effect but I may have left it on a bit too strong. Thanks for your tips! Thanks again for visiting!

The next part should be up tomorrow, but I am not promising anything.

EDIT: Thanks CNG! I always put myself down it is something that I think other photographers have learnt to ignore. Also could you send me the full size of that image? Via PM if possible. Thanks again!

I think all three are very clean, specially the rims. The R8 shot is very Lemans, I guess you can easily find a similar shot of a real photo. The zonda looks very smooth and the GT has good lighting on it. However these pictures still have room for improvement like Bram has mentioned. I think you may also want to add some vignetting and use colour balance to give more interesting tone to them.

Thanks for dropping by Franz. You really think they are all that clean? This is my first time doing a full update where I have cleaned every shot. My shots will always have room for improvement, how do you actually do vignetting? But thanks for your tips.

SpeedART- 24 Heure Du Mans (P2)
I decided to go ahead and put up the second section of this update up. The second update isn't so much about the cars more about the time of day they are in. Some of the shots especially the Corvette aren't what I would call clean. But I hope you still like them.

Enjoy!

That Bentley Speed 8 is crackalackin.

The British Racing Green looks even better at night, and goes perfectly with the background it is set in. I just think it's cool that you even have a Bentley Speed 8, so many people sell them. :grumpy:

The Bentley looks awesome! 👍

Looks clean and the body lines are looking nice as well 👍

Great work!

Thanks! That is my favourite shot too. Tis a shame that the Bentley isn't actually mine. If it was your would have gotten bored of it by now .

Thanks Bram! A very positive comment from you! Thanks for your comment and thanks for my 700th reply to my gallery.

The Pescarolo looks plain weird, like it's oversharped and all jagged.
What filters did you used on it?

The Bentley shot, however, is pretty damn cool. 👍
Really like the colors, car's reflections looks great and really shiny, the glow on the tarmac behind the car looks sweet...

Only things are: That partial bright yellow wing on the shot's lower right corner kinda ruins the composition. And the headlights of the Bentley are a bit too bright, hiding away part of the car's front.
What I usually do is select the headlights (only if the lights are on, of course), copy them to a separate layer, then work on the levels and tones, all separately, so the headlights don't blot out.

beerz - im curious what youre talking about on the pescarolo? ill admit the angle is a bit odd, but, maybe its the gt4 blurring thats throwing it off?

👍 to the bentley. she always looks good at that track :)

Thanks! With the Pesci all I did was clean the car as well as levels and crop, oh and a bit of noise. I didn't put any other filters on. Must have been GT4 that did it.

Glad to know that the Bentley looks good to you, apart from the yellow wing which I must have forgot about :ouch: . Next time I deal with a shot with headlights I will try that, sounds a good idea. Thanks for dropping by!

Thanks Ray! It has been awhile since I have seen you around here, hope to see more of you soon. Glad you like my improvements, infact your one of the people that made me want to improve! You were just so good I wanted to be as good as you! Thanks for coming back to check my gallery out.

Just out of intrest when are you coming back properly?

Those shots are brilliant!!! I really like the Speed 8, and the C5 is good as well, they look so clean and real. I think the fact you did it at night time makes them look really good - the lights and the shadows!

Thanks Alex! Sorry for the late reply but I have been busy trying things with Premium :dopey: . Glad you liked the speed 8, as I said earlier that it is my favourite too. Thanks again for dropping by!

Congratulations on getting Premium, speedster! 👍
Thanks Beerzy, I had been wanting Premium for awhile now as I liked the extras especially the bigger PM box as I use PM's all the time: To inform the winners of competitions, To get themes, To get cleaning & bluring advice, To meet people that I didn't know so much about before. My inbox always seem's to get full quickly. So that is a great plus.
I second that, welcome to the club.
Thanks racerx!

nice and clean! specially the corvette and the speed 8, not a big fan of the noise on the pescarolo, but you sure used it to your advantage. i think it's right that you did that, otherwise the car would probably look to blurry. love the lighting you used on all of them too. very warm and natural. sorry i havent been commenting here for a while, been very very busy lately.

Thanks jgda9rs! Glad to hear that the shots are clean as they are designed to be! Personally I didn't think that the Corvette was that clean, more the Bentley. I agree with the comment about the noise. I thought once I saved it that there was way too much noise but couldn't revert it. Thanks for the comment about the lighting too, but I am not doing any thing with the lighting it's just happening. As I have said many times now, if you have more improtant issue's to deal with then I don't mind you not visiting! Anyway thanks for dropping by!

Nissan Sisters

This is the last part of my Le Mans Update...technically. I am not calling it a Le Mans Part 3 though as it mainly consists of well...erm...Nissan's. Some of these shots aren't brilliant. But try to enjoy them.

Enjoy!
