Update gang: just got done tuning 3 setups for one of three new FTO LM's. Also thinking of throwing a Lancer Rally Car in the mix.

Well this is not a good start; went to Best Buy to pick up a new PS3 and they no longer carry it. Only Ps4's. Time to order online I guess.

In a rookie host mistake, I forgot to save the replay from the Mustang race. I do have a couple of shots of Tjgers Stang out on the track though.

Very cool shots that I wish I could have been a part of.

As far as the acquisition of the new PS3 - Done. Now I just need to get the old unit fixed to transfer everything over and that's what is out of my hands. I'll drop it off Monday and hope for the best.

or put old PS3 HD into new PS3, (reinstall firmware if required) copy save from drive, swap HDs back.

^^^ Ah, double check on that swapping HDs. I believe the new PS3 will reformat the entire drive. Erase everything.
So caution and research is needed here.

I did manage to get some important info saved onto a flashdrive during the minute or so I had it working again. So I'm going to first try and boot up the new and then insert the old flash drive and see what I can bring over. I'm not worried about trophies, etc. All I need at this point is my GT6 saved data and I'll be good. I thought about just swapping the HD's but the new one will reformat it and wipe everything out

The RedBull event has not even been announced as of yet. Let's keep private discussions in private until they are released to the club forum. The Red Bull can be won for free so there is no cost involved in it's use.
Check the Private Message Inbox, about halfway up on Page 9 or 10. I don't understand how this is not announced, or why it isn't already. There's a picture under it of someone getting their head blown off...

No editing. I was clear in my intention. Legit screenshot is what I described

Thanks for the info but I wanted to make sure I had the 500G model so I could carry over everything from the previous system. Now that I have found one, I realize I didn't really need it. All I needed to do is reload my save game data from the flashdrive. Of course I do still have the option of copying everything from my old system but I can't get it booted up again and would need to pay 80 bucks to have it repaired. The downside to the flashdrive save is my last save was mid January and I've lost 30 cars. I spent some time last night trying to get back to where I left off but it will be a while. I no longer have my FR-S, Mustang and even my NASCAR. But at least I'll be back for the races this week.

Sad to hear. Looks like you'll be grinding the Red Bull events to get back up where you were. This should serve as a reminder to anyone in the club, back up your GT6 save to a flash drive frequently.

...and the irony is that I was planning on doing another backup the previous night then said to myself, I'll just do it tomorrow.
