Well this is proving to be an enjoyable/frustrating challenge. I believe this car takes the word 'twitch' to a whole new level. And who would've thought they could make a car to rival the Red Bull X? 2500 HP is insane. One of the fastest laps at the ring for a production car was a Dodge Viper SRT-10 ACR with a 7:12 lap time. The Tomahawk is doing it in half the time, LOL.
So after my first session I'm almost making it to the Karussell at speed consistently. I've done a red lap that was good for bronze with multiple mistakes, so gold should be easy if I can stay on track. As others have stated if you short shift and stay in a higher gear the car is easier to handle. And it almost seems it's easier to mess up if you try to be slow and cautious. The car rewards you with more grip if you drive it hard, like the Red Bull.
I'm using a DFGT with just ABS at 1. I see some of the top times are using strong steering. I tried that but as I said the is twitchy enough as it is. The same with TC on, it just seems the car has enough grip without it. I'd like to hear what others opinions on steering assist. Maybe once you can take the lap flat out it helps with less steering input.
