Holy cow... like I said in the comments, PC sim-like physics, here we COME!! :D

I'm hoping that as much as PD is supersizing this game, that they include dozens and DOZENS of race cars from every league, and give us tons of league based events, even if they have to fantasize some of it.

Now Kaz, give us that Livery Editor to make this game complete!

That looks absolutely incredible. The car movement.

This is the reason why I am glad standard cars are in GT6. The more cars I can drive and experience the better. That video is nice can't wait for more. 👍

Just to make sure there is no confusion, that R8 LMS isn't the same car as the one in GT5, so it doesn't really speak towards how the Standards will be in GT6.

I wonder if it will replace the other R8 LMS. After all, it's a more recent version of the car.

It's not really that unfortunate. It all depends on how the cars are distributed in the game this time.

Anyway, the physics look interesting, although I'd be surprised if the real cars are driven like that in the race!

Very true, unfortunately.
Hey, I don't think it's unfortunate at all. I really like that car. Like a bunch of you guys, I'd rather it be a Premium, but I sure as heck don't want it yanked.

Now the question is, how many (Standards) can be race modded? ;)
The answer to that should be "every one that has a Premium race moddable equivalent." And I'm hopeful PD fixes it this time. Never understood why you could race mod, say, both of the Premium Lotus Elise models, but not any of the Standard Lotus Elise models (Motorsports Elise being the exception).
Well................. it depends. Way back in the start of this whole GT5 fiasco, when wheels couldn't even be swapped on the Standards, and Kaz had remarked that giving them blacked out interiors so we could drive them in cockpit view was "technically possible," some of us assumed that Standards couldn't be altered at all without a lot of trouble.

But then we got both. I was stunned at the uproar wheel swaps caused, though it is pretty cool. One more tidbit on them. Along with all the other weird flukes with GT5, a tiny number of Standards can be upgraded with more aerokit options than their Premium brothers, like the Mini Cooper, weirdly. And some Premiums like the Peugeot 207 can't have any. This really baffles me.

But what this tells me is that if PD takes the time, they can do anything they want to with the Standards. I know that the clock is ticking, and I'm pretty sure that SONY is breathing down the neck of their VP of SCE to get GT6 out at least a week before Christmas. The earliest Christmas anyway, I'm not up on all the world's holiday schedule.

Hey, a discussion! :D Okay, me hush.

You know us gamers. We'll fly F-16s right into Osama's compound in a video game.

But this reckless racing does show off the car and suspension dynamics much better than safe driving would. Now I will have to say that some of my GT5 videos look almost this good, but we have a whole slew of people posting here who go so far as to say that racing in the GT6 demo is pretty darn close to GTR 2 and rFactor among other games, not to mention real life, so I'm really looking forward to July and getting my own experience going.

I personally just don't see enough of a difference between both cars, apart from the livery, to justify keeping the standard R8 LMS. As far as I'm concerned, that car has been made Premium in the Bilstein Audi R8 LMS Ultra.

My opinion is that I'd rather get rid of the standards and leave only premiums in the game. I think of it as getting rid of your old stuff. It's not easy and some of it you might regret throwing away, but it's time to let go and move on for the sake of progress. The standards are simply outdated and take away from the game visually and physically.

I agree as well but, I think many in the GT community rather keep the outside look of the car as it seems many race "outside" of the cars.

I just see standards as bonus cars. With one or two exceptions you didn't need them in GT5, but they were there if you wanted them.
Hopefully the real racing cars and a broad selection of the road cars have been premium-ified. It's already been said that the worst models have had effort more effort put into them, hopefully this means Premium Nomad Diablo.

I race them often as well, but still want them to go away for GT6. GT3 was a fine game without all of GT2's cars and by the same token, GT6 can be a fine game without all of GT4's cars.

As long as standards are the cars that no one really cares about, then I'm fine. I don't know how many premium cars there will be in the game, but anything more than 400 sounds good.

Thats looking like the rough minimum estimate at the moment, without factoring in any "conversions" they make from standard to premium, as was have no information on that yet.

This decision by Polyphony Digital marks the end of the Gran Turismo series for me. I do not understand how they can possibly release a game for PS3 or even PS4 with cars that are ported from PS2. That is just not acceptable. To also offer premium DLC cars when they don't even have all the standard game cars premium is disgusting. I am extremely disappointed in PD and I will take that $60 and put it towards another game, like Drive Club.
Because you couldn't simply ignore the standards and enjoy having 400+ premiums.

Go and buy driveclub with about 10-20% of the amount of premiums GT6 will have.

And add $500 to those $60.

I´ll take my 60€ to play a simulator any day instead of an arcade.

Drive Club in words of the creators will be arcade...good looking graphically speaking and "open world" yes. After a while when you get bored of it, you´ll grab other 60 or less to play GT6. Maybe in your PS4.

I´ll be getting the PS4 too but missing on GT6 because of not all cars being top notch quality?...well no. Do I like this? No. But I can´t miss on play the game with those physics.

That, and its arcady physics (yuck). I'm so happy with GT6 being on PS3 (even with standard cars but with has new physics that certainly can't be missed) because I can simply purchase the game and play it already. Not buy a $500 console for one little game...

You had to drive standard cars in GT5 and chances are you'll have to drive them in GT6 as well...

I'm up for trying the improved standards, as soon as I get more info on what they'll look like. I hope e3 will have a trailer showing some of them. XD Anyway, if they're still close to PS2 quality; the possibly 400+ premiums will easily keep me happy, that's about have many cars I expected in GT6 anyway at the least.

Where? Licenses? Special events and a-spec only the fgt and lupo event.
Ohhh I feel so sorry... Driving license tests for about 10 minutes and 2 out of 45 events in standards must be too much for one, poor boy.

EDIT: corrected

I understand if you're upset that I proved you wrong but there's no reason to respond in that tone... everyone doesn't like standard cars and that's that.
