Well I finally got off my ass and saw the movie. It was much better then 1&2 but not quite there with 5-7. The space battle when the movie was pretty sweet and some of the other battle scenes were good as well.

The only thing I thought was bad was Portman and Christensen was pretty bad. I could help but laugh at the terriable acting when Portman started to cry and said "Anakin you're breaking my heart." You think with a budget that big Lucas would have gotten people who could act.

But save for the acting I thought the movie was well done. The animations were top notch and the camera work was great as well.

I liked it, I though the opening 30 mins of the film were the best yet, I could understand why anakin turned to the dark side. Just though it got a little slow in the middle section.

Did anyone else spot the millenium falcon in the film I thought it was a nice touch ;)

Yup I noticed the Millenium Falcon as well. Although I was kinda hoping the Hans Solo would make an appearence.

You honestly think that's her fault? It's the crappy scripts fault. Natalie Portman is a pretty damn good actress if you ask me. Watch Beautiful girls or The Professional and then come back and tell me she's a bad actress.

I'll agree with you on Christenson though. He's a horrid actor. Only the other actors he was with could save him from his own craptastic acting, be it **** script or not. Too bad he's Canadian too. Put's a shame on my countrys name. :(

Man, I missed it. Need to go see it again just for that. What scene did it appear in?

You can see it landing right after anakin saves the day and gets dropped off with the senators (where we see Padme for the first time), I watched it twice second time I was looking out for it and spotted it quite easily

"For you, Chewbacca, ze rebellion ist over."

COol the MilLeNiuM FaLcoN, alright just another reason i gotta go see the movie. I feel left out being one of the few who hasn't seen the movie and hasn't helped fatten Lucas's pocket even more.

Just got back from watching it and thought i'd come and read your posts here.

I really enjoyed the movie, got all emotional when the intro rolled. Most def. the best out of Ep1-3 and also the best movie i've seen in a long time.
Liked all the references etc. that were included like the shot of Yoda, Obi and 'other' walking down a white corridor identical to the corridors on the ship Leia is being carried at the beginning of VI.
Quite a dark film as has been mentioned, many dismemberings. Awesome though, most awesome.

Maybe it was just a Corellian Frieghter? Or it could've been Dash Rendar's craft.

It was confirmed by Lucas; the ship in that scene is indeed the Falcon.

Rendar's ship is seen in the Special Edition of Ep IV when Kenobi and Luke arrive at Mos Eisley.

Another "cameo" of sorts. The shot of Yoda leaving Kashyyyk in the little shuttle pod with Tarful and Chewie looking on is straight out of E.T. I'm sure this has to be an homage to George's good friend Steve.

Now the question is....who was the pilot? Han or Lando? :dopey:

I saw it, and I've got to say I was impressed... I really hated the last two, especially the first one, but despite that, I really enjoyed STE3-ROTS (in the parlance of our times...)

It looks amazing from start to end, engaging and (dare I say it) believable as well... the only cringy moment is Chewbacca's Tarzan moment... (anyone else notice that?)...

Still, great film... 👍

Its got to be Lando can't be Han cos he won it from Lando

Aye, I know. However, we don't know the exact amount of time Han had it before he met up with Luke and Obi Wan.

well for me this film was the best out of all 6, im not a big starwars fan to begin with, but Lucas made a better job ofthis one than episode 1 and 2, little slow in parts and as far as acting goes i think that Ewan Mc gregor was good and the guy who played darth siddius was too, portman was just average i think as said abouve due to script, and the guy who played anakin was as said above, pant's.

10/10 for the special effects
8/10 for acting
9/10 for story
6/10 for script
7/10 for direction

overall 8/10

They release the Episode VII? :D

Hyperglide's right though, Natalie Portman is an great actress, IMO. I also agree with him on Christensen. I've always thought Ben Afflek was one of the worst actors, but Hayden Christensen is many times worse. 👎 :yuck:

Both Han and Lando are about 10 years old in EpIII time-scale.

Han was in an early draft for epIII, in a scene with yoda, they even did some concept sketchs of his costume as a peasant farm boy.

Oops missed that one.

But isn't there supposed to be 9 movies or somthing? I'm pretty sure there are 9 books, Luke goes off and restarts the Jedi training center and trains a bunch of people, they kill of the empire.

She's a great actress? Great at acting like someone who can't act, I guess. I've seen more emotion from people on Prozac.

Very True

That would have been a nice idea

There are meant to be another 3 films but George Lucas has said he's not doing them apparently Luke turns to the Dark side too

I thought he was ok, I've seen a film called 'Shattered Glass' which was really and the lead actor was really good too, after the film finished I realised Hayden Christensen was the main guy in it

I thought I'd give the movie another chance ad watched it again last night. I mus say it was much better the second time around and I take back most of what I said in my original post. There are still some awful scenes in there and certain parts could've been made so much better, but anyway. The Darth Vader-stein scene is still an absolute travesty! This movie is galaxies far, far away better than the first two.

I heard about the "9" Episodes, right around the release of the Episode I. Three prequels and three sequels. I never heard anything about the sequels after that though. :grumpy:

Jeez louise! When it comes to bashing NP, you are relentless! :scared: OK, I'll go as far as saying she's an "OK" actress. BTW, looks is everything(not literally) in a lead actress. :sly:

When I commented on Christensen's acting, after watching the Episode II, someone who saw the "Shattered Glass" told me that he was great in it, also. :)

10/10 for the special effects

Make a film full of CGI and effects miraculously become less special. Reference: Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow.

There were NO special effects in ROTS.

I hated the CGs in the Episode II. It didn't bother me as much in the III. I think they are improving. Slowly, but surely. :)
