There is a God, I actually lapped someone, very tired, off to bed, race report tomorrow, well done all and good finish Rich. Star I missed you........well missed you overtaking me at least. TNT I thought you were going to keep me and Scott company but you never started, oh well next time. Another good showing from you as well PEE.

After looking at the results I have a slight post-race hope of winning that race!

But yes, I believe everything is sorted and I should be back on track next week! Which is where, @Stephen Vann?

Yes mate it's really so awful that we have to endure it.
I Made enough rooms to build a hotel last night, it often gets me very distracted for the race but I won't let it win.

LOGICS TEST RACE 3 REVIEW
Well after a sad start, as i knew Tnt Sken and Star had not started, off we went.
I had a great first 30 minute scrap with my group 4 guys, but we gradually dropped Rich, as he made a few mistakes
due to lack of practice i guess.
Up front we were closing in on the leaders so that was also exciting.
Pited at 30 minutes and a lap later the rest of my group did and i got past Pee and and Dan amd Delta into group 4 kead and closing in on the front guys who musthave been making mistakes.
All through i had a great battle with my group and eventually we got within sight of the leaders and all was looking good.
We had Jfrod group 3 close behind with group 1 right there 2, this was all with about 15 minutes left so was pretty exciting.

Then we all came up to Jibb, who was lagging badly, and i stopped dead at one point, and i went from second place to 6 6th within 2 seconds as all the guys behind stormed through.

I have never enjoyed a race so much, as i was with guys the same speed through the whole race having a good battle, and we were closing in on the lead so this just adds to the excitement.

We must have a proper in place rule about being lapped, as many drivers suffered badly with cars being lapped not giving was in the correct manner, although this track was a bit tight and twisty.

Re connection problems are just such a pain, i just dont know why.
Last noght my psn froze twice, its never done that before.

I know we have some connections that are not always ideal, so i am seriously thinking to run the race in practice mode.
This would mean that anyone who had a dc could rejoin and loose a lap but would be credited for it in a time +20 seconds at the end of the race.
Or we could work out some similar rule that the gtpss runs.
If we run the race in practice mode, then we dont get a chance to save the replay.

But it would tale a little stress out of things as i feel gutted for guys that get Dc'd.

today early morning (after midnight) we still had interesting 10mins quick race, me vs erazer at Willow Springs IR. unbelievable close chasing, both of us with a few mistakes, goin off track to excavate sand. Eli did during short practice lap rec 1m11,8s, me 12,9s (or so, cant remember) in race then his 12,5 vs mines 13,2. but we crossed finish line around 10m50s... too tired, many errors. great fun as well though.

What happened to Francis, I though we would have a quick restart, what was his issue ?
For Francis, it was bad.
If we had not had already had so many problems, i would have been happy to restart, as i never like to leave someone behind, however with the huge problems we already had and the long delay, it was only fair to keep going.
Fran was in the room, but i have no idea what happened to him.

No Midfield Raceway? Such a bummer Mr. Stephen, I'm so sad to see it not return. :(

No Midfield Raceway? Such a bummer Mr. Stephen, I'm so sad to see it not return. :(
REASON FOR NO MIDWAY
What happened is that I went through the results from tracks from the last 5 series.
The tracks chosen were those where the finish results were consistent and drivers lap times etc were they were expected to be compared with the fast and slow guys.

Now we have the delayed timed start for race groups it was fairer to choose tracks where previous results where as expected.

also the trial mountain was put in as it is probably a track where aliens don't race a lot, and therefore may slightly favour the slower guys for our series opener.

RE STAR .....
As for the start group times, I have to thank eraser for all his help.
He understands and yet struggles a little at the same time, trying to figure what his group 1 need to achieve to overcome such huge start time delays.
But ultimately he is my guide, and although i am always trying to stretch the gaps out, he often makes me see sense, and we have a good and mutual understanding way of sorting it out.

Pee I get booted all the time my friend, not so much during a race but in the lobby all the time, and I certainly ain't one of the fast guys, YET:irked:

Are you sure??? I wouldn't be after to see aughablo yesterday :nervous:

Edit: If thats what you think, why are the gaps higher?

REASON FOR TIMING GAPS
Its Race 1 - the gaps will never be perfect, i realise that, and we can adjust them from week to week and track to track if they dont seem fair.
We did the test race last Monday as SS5 as it is another of the tracks that most of the fast guys dont race on a whole lot, most series generally use real tracks like Spa Monza and stuff like that.

Looking at Mondays race for example, all the groups came together about 15 minutes left to go in the race.
opening up the gaps a bit hopefully make it so we all come together a little nearer the end of the race.

For me, my aim is to get some of the group 5 guys on the podium.
Often the slower guys are the ones that drop out of series when they know they cant win races and also when they get so far behind in championship points, they become fed up and leave.
Then we have grids of 7 and 6 which is not great.

For guys that are slower, its a long race going round and round getting lapped, and i can understand why they leave.

So loading the race up in their favor means that they have a great chance of winning the race, if they practice a lot and dont crash.

There are guys like Fran, who can be very fast, but crashes a lot, and he losses all his time there.
If these guys knew they had a real possibility of winning races they would spend more time practicing.

Last night Jiberjabber came in the room, he spent an hour and half practicing, it was great to see.
He still has lots of time to find, as i do in fact.

We can move the drivers from group to group, and we can move the timings between groups, at any time if we feel that it is unfair, so in the end we try to make the race so all groups sort of come together as we near the end of the race.

Nothing is perfect, and i have to say over many series we have tried every way to handicap the races, but nothing works that well.
