well done Pee on a great Victory, also Francis, great race you had, I thought you were going to run away with it, no battles for me, i think a weight and bhp would possibly be better, trying to get everyone around the same lap time, somehow, would involve folk practicing with different handicaps until the filed is brought together,

Jam, dont worry mate, we are adjusting settings, but not bhp and weights, we have tried that in other series and it never quite works.

Pee won the race, as he made fewer mistakes and put time in practicing, and that is fine and how it should be.
The group 5 guys lap times were quite close, but mistakes were the things that cost you guys.
Pee did very very well and in the end it was the time he took training that rewarded him with a win.

I will be announcing next weeks track and settings later today.

HERE'S MY RACE REVIEW:

Being in Group 4 I started up the track at Campus with LOGICLINE, gu1tar3rich, DeltaJulietMike and Danni_Boi181295. I was late setting off as I was watching total time waiting for that to hit 10:00.000 so missed the jump by a few seconds.

I felt I was in the wrong group that race as I quickly closed on LOGICLINE and Danni_Boi181295, and was then on the back of gu1tar3rich by the time we came to the start/finish line on lap 2. He ran wide at turn 1 which allowed me to take the lead in Group 4 whilst setting the fastest lap.

I would continue to pull out a gap on the Group 4 guys until I pitted on lap 10 for a fresh set of softs and no fuel added. Leaving me to run low fuel laps. I realized I had pulled out enough of a gap to exit the pits in front of Group 3
GTP_Jonjig who was going pretty quickly at the time. I neutralized him with my RS tyres. ;)

It was lap 14 when I set my personal best lap time, a 2:14.343 which was held as the fastest until the later laps in the race when TRL_Erazer and Nik_Makozi juked it out only 2-3 tenths faster. Also by lap 14 I was out in clear air and the next cars in front of me were the Group 5 guys Francisjessica, scottmutineer, PeeStationNowork and J
amsy.

It wasn't until lap 16 when I finally caught a Group 5 racer, scottmutineer.

At this point I still couldn't figure out where my pace was coming from.

Only on the next lap did I move into 3rd place after catching Jamsy, who kindly allowed me to just overtake him. 👍
This was my realization that I could possibly have a shot at winning the race!

Starting lap 20 I was quite shocked to see I was almost a whole lap in front of TRL_Erazer after he had just exited the pits. I didn't bother trying to attack him as he was obviously on fresh RS tyres and screamed away from me.

At the end of lap 20 I entered the pits for what would be my second and final stop of the race. I wanted fresh RS tyres and around 50 liters of fuel. No, my pedals glitched and responded to the pop-up menu and gave me 100 liters, overfilling my car. STRATEGY ERROR! :banghead:

Nevertheless I got over it and started to run consistent laps again and just hope to make up the 30 seconds I lost in the pits.

On lap 24, I encountered Jamsy again and he ran wide at Campus allowing me to re-take 3rd position. I gave enough room in case he slid on to the racing line.

It took a few laps of pushing to finally catch and pass Francisjessica, who ran wide at the last corner on lap 29. "That's now 2nd place. 1 car left" I said to myself, lol.

It was lap 32 before I realized I was catching PeeStationNowork by about 2 seconds per lap! I kept reassuring myself that he would have to pit again. This would continue through to lap 34 when I caught the green kerb at Stavelot and slide of the track. I now needed PeeStationNowork to pit for me to have a chance, especially with 3:54 to go.

I entered lap 36, the final lap, with horrid tyre wear and still a lot of fuel. My tyres were sat at 1, 2 (front) and 6, 7 (rear), which didn't help me at all in the right-hand turns.

@PetrH, after all of his effort, practice, confidence and persistence, won the 90-minute race with 23 seconds in hand. Without a doubt one of the most impressive performances I have ever seen - even though he started quite a bit further from me, I still caught and passed the rest of Group 5 except from him. Well done man! 👍

Also, a little kudos to @TRL_Andromeda for the tune I (and undoubtedly a few others) used in the race. It was spectacular, so thank you! :) 👍

Race review:
-missed the start the same way Star did.
-pushed hard, but pace was still 3-4 tenths slower than what I would have liked it to be.
-Lap 8: caught up to scott who had spun, when re-entering the track he drove out right infront of me, causing heavy damage, 6 seconds lost.
-Sken pitted and came out right behind me. I defended my place for a few laps but inevitably he got past and pulled away due to fresh RS.
-I noticed Nik was staying out, and going roughly the same pace as me. :yikes:
-I was finally allowed to pit, did a quick calculation and ended up with 50 liters.
-nik pited and was still about 8-10 seconds ahead, but on fresh tyres, it was clear I would not win this.
-Sken pited and came out ahead of me aswell, I managed to almost reel him in, but my tyres was toast at this point and I never got close enough.
-3 laps to go and I realized I was short on fuel, made quick 8 liters splash and dash, and now out determined to atleast set fastest lap. target: 2:12
first flying lap got 2:13.0 GRRR!
final lap, out of bruxells it was clear I would be hindered by jfrod, making lap record impossible, so I focused on taking back 7th (6th because sken ran out of fuel), wich I did (through blanchimont:P), he fought back in busstop, but my superior tyres was victorious.

And eventually Nik put in a seriously quick time of 2:14.007, so kudos to that man!

I would have one recommendation for the handicap system.

Don't have such large gaps, because as we saw, yes @TRL_Andromeda wins a lot of the races, but I don't think he'd be too particularly interested in finishing 6th every race because he starts too far behind everyone else.

That's just my two cents though and the elongated pre-season is all about testing systems! :)

Here is my race review from lap 1 I thought I had it but pee had been hiding some secret pace and in 5 laps he was right on my but luck me he had a mistake and I ran away building a 20 sec gap after my pit stop star show some great pace and was catching so was pee after a hour of racing pee managed to get by me with no tyres left I could not defend from star then I was forced for a extra pit stop Jon was now ten seconds behind and with cold tyres he was catching me he got past me under brakes for the last five laps I was able to stay with him but not get back past my best lap was 2:16.5 and I finished 4th

@major racer
My mistake, group 5 is 200 seconds and now edited.

Pee is in the correct group.
Pee is in a room now testing - at spa you and him and Jam were similar pace - but Pee put in the practice hours to be better. You group 5 guys have the series to loose, and prize money to win, but you gotta put the hours in.

@J_Starscream
Erazer is with me on Time adjustments and settings etc- we work out the handicaps together.
He is a huge help and a wizard at many things, and its great of him to take the time to.
He says he has got bored of keep winning - lol .

Ok good point I'm trying to get my sis off the PS3 so I can practice

still one handed(until 5th april) , but i'm pleased of my so far improvements with my left hand , brings bit more intelligence and smoothness to my driving as i do everything to avoid a mistake that i couldn't recover as quick as with two hands , that's the big deal , beeing on the edge ;)

The gaps is a bit harch I agree, but its how logic wants it, so I'll have to accept it. But even if the gaps are bigger now than in yesterdays race, the final times will be much closer, as there is no tyre or pit disadvantage at the start. I and the other group 1 drivers will be able to start reel you guys in right from the start. Yesterday, I had just the last 40 minutes to do so, and that was not enough.

I never said that! I'm only happy when I win. ;)

my Spa setup was modification of ERAZER's due too much sensitivity, sharp steering and especially "low speed turns" unstability for my style and ps3 pad.
ABS 3 or 4 / ATC 0 / Steer.sens. 7(pad) / RS / ASS OFF (but i used RL ON, that was almost all my training)
75/55. 13,85/23,05. 1/1 1/1 7/7. 0,0/0,0. -0,25/-0,05. brake 7/5
gear ini./top speed 210!!>km/h<!! final 2,705. 1g3,855/2g2,835/3g2,335/4g1,965/5g1,665/6g1,405
differential 5/20/10. engine stage 3/~73,2% (no oil, no rigidity). downforce 400/420
good luck if you'll try, my driving style overall: not pushing too hard while i am not sure enough, corner entering more "wide", i need to feel as front of car can grip, turn ability, its own nature, rather a bit sooner braking than too late or car must be balanced for aggressive brake/throttle style, depends also on actual strategy/specific corners, so i try keep under control all time then awesome feel when exit corner using a controlled throttle up (or powerslide sometimes). GOLD RULE "SLOW IN = FAST OUT". COMPLEX CORNER PASAGE AS ONE LONG CORNER (rather to lose tenth by enter, than sort trouble at exit and do lose whole second at following straight, useful rule from alpine skiing). always (mean tarmac races) to MINIMISE TYRE SLIP/SLIDE = not too hard, too late braking = fast lap, less tyre depletion, more surely experience etc... that should be all from me, hope it can help for those, who not optimal skilled, same as i am not. 👎>>:banghead:>:scared:💡👍>:gtpflag::cheers:

My SPA review.

I´ve missed that special moment when countdown have finished and all drivers are looking for the best position before the first turn, and all the traffic you have during, at least, the first lap.
I was somewhere in the middle of a track. 10 meters in front of me was Jon. Just Jon and me, nobody else around.
At 13.10 Jon starts really fast, like crazy ( I think he was in a hurry ;)) My start however, was horrible and in a couple of minutes I lost him.
After this, 90% of the race was bored. Nobody in front...... nobody behind. Suddenly I meet Nik, (this was like a party for me) he had old tyres and we had an interesting battle during maybe one lap. The next minutes I started to feel lonesome again, until last lap when an U.F.O (coming from I dont know where) overtakes me. It was so excited...... but 20 seconds later the race was over.

yep exactly jf, 13:10 was seemed good idea at all, but a poor marker. i realised by watching replay later, theres distortion between circuit clock and total race time/countdown. exactly 20 seconds. probably due pre-start animation procedure. next time should be better to use and watch overall race time(right side above) or countdown(below track clock). 1st: seconds there 2nd: i did check whole grid, all players same. NOTE! dont be foolish via watching your own lap time counter! if all start immediately still ok, but because of our prestart procedure its difference will be terrible.

my apologies, review of me will later ok? too busy yet. also sorry ahead, i will use most simply way of my English, if i no sure i wont use spelling, word gems, text undulations etc. but i'll try for best possible simplicity and pure facts.
