The censorship is so stupid that when I speak in SPANISH with friends, the system thinks that the word "con" which means "with", is the beginning of a vulgar way of referring to the female genitals and "blocks" it...

In Polish, "kurwa" (pronounced 'coor-vah') is a insulting word for a prostitute.
This is probably the reason.

A friend of mine is polish => i did know that

It censors any Hindu or Sikh name and any word thats from an Indian language (eg: Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Telugu, Tamil, etc.) ...I can only really interpret this as blatant racism from PSN.

I've also noticed that none of the Japanese curse words are censored.... especially my perennial favorite : M________-taro

Firstly, suggesting a company such as Playstation is racist is ridiculous at best. Come on! It may be an oversight, but not much more.

Secondly, you may want to edit out your profanity. It may be Japanese, but the site does have Japanese visitors, including children! (and the use of profanity is a breach of the AUP)

I'm guessing the algorithm they use for censorship is flawed as opposed to someone sitting there randomly choosing words from international translation dictionaries and phrase books at will.

Sorry I meant to say thats the only real reason I could think of to suggest why these are censored... as for the Japanese, I think its because censorship is more lenient over there.
