Ferrari wanted to call their 2003 F1 car the F1GA (in honour of one of their designers) but couldn't for obvious reasons. So it was called F2003 GA.
The word censor is a bit stupid. Swear words and insults still get through, their just written like T-H-I-S
Edit: Google translate reveals it can be spelt with a G or a C.

As for engine, it won't censor eng, engi, gin, or gine...
Censorship is bad. The game is E for everyone so there should be an option for parents to enable the censoring. Adults should be able to speak as adults to each other and the little kiddies wouldn't see those big bad words as their PS3's and GT5's parental settings would censor them on THEIR screens.

the censoring really really gets frustrating, to the point where you just give up. I had the experience someone else shared when they tried to say the word "engine". I mean what the ****? its a ****ing racing game right? Someone has been taking too much ***.
On the other side of the coin, French seems to be a legitimate language to insult people in. MDR anyone?

The dumbest thing about all this is (and it has been pointed out already I know) that if you REALLY want to curse and be offensive it's not hard at all to get creative and just add spaces or dashes and get everything through. One night it was quite late and I had been drinking, some other players pissed me off for some dumb reason and I had no problem at all getting some pretty offensive insults through : / If anyone recognizes my name and it was you I was cursing out I really do apologize! Hope you didn't take it too seriously : ) doubt they were gtplanet readers tho, they did suck at racing!
