So what about racing again on the Ring when the NRS is over ?

good, how about something different and having a family cup at nurb... not only one lap, but two:dopey:

a mercedes benz would be a very nice fit there...

If it was a 190E, maybe, but I don't know about any of the other mercedes cars...

yeah we need a multi lap ring marathon race

i reccommend we do this soon, how about 2 laps at the ring with a nissan skyline in arcade no quick tuned and on R3 tires, with ai set to -10 and putting them on RSH?

I'd love to do something older, and slower around the ring... Possibly arcade mode...? But for SURE something older, and again not a race car, but this time, something that's balanced enough?(not too much hp, for example, let's NOT increase HP 20%, because we CAN keep track of that in arcade mode)

Hallelujah! I totally agree, although I still wish there was a way to keep track of weight as well... Personally I would perfer to not have either weight or power changed.

I suppose I'm the only one who doesn't want the ring...

Like I told Hol last night, I don't see it as having anything going for it apart from the fact it's stupidly long. Yeah, I know it's meant to be a test to be on the limit for that long and master all 50,000 corners, but to me it's just boring, frustrating and narrow. Personally, I would of prefered the current GP version (ducks for cover)

If Seattle was a 7 minute blast in and out of the city steets, it would be fantastic. 9 Minute Rally Stage anyone?

I've been doing a lot of racing and testing with normal tires and I think a BMW Z4 with road tires (N3 I think) at Autumn Ring or the bigger 'Ring would be tons of fun. +20% HP and -10% weight and that thing is an absolute blast to drive.

To be honest, I think we should race on road tires and use road cars more often. Maybe I'm a little biased, but still. lol I've been having a lot of fun and I think the road tires offer a different kind of challenge than most of us are used to. Plus it adds to the realism a bit. :)

Would it be possible for another rally WRS?

With the BC up and aproaching a good rally driver can be the difference between a win and a loss. It would be nice to see who are the Ari Vattinen and Tommi Makienens (please forgive my spelling) of GT4.

This could be a great opportunity if your a dirt man and want a ride in the BC *hint* *hint* ;)

With Ron announcing there that he would postpone ARC IV, I was planning to post a tarmac rally race soon, and perhaps a dirt rally race too.

...And as far as I know the correct spelling is Ari Vatanen and Tommi Makkinen. But the best is Sebastien Loeb of course ;)

I'd really like to stick up for Chris Atkinson, but...No, I can't. He's just hopeless....Loeb is the best.

Except why is the Citroen rally car in GT4 FWD?!

Chris Atkinson is FAR from hopeless, if he has made it to the big time level, he must be pretty damn good.

atkinson is a great driver... staggeringly quick on gravel, and picking up the pace rapidly on other surfaces, Subaru aren't stupid in their choices of drivers, he is a real talent...

Not technically a race suggestion...

Would it be worth noting where one can acquire the car for a particular week's race (where a specific car is named) in the race post?

Yeah sure. I always mentioned it in the first races I posted, but I thought it was useless so I stopped a while ago. Next week will mention it again.

I've really been turned around in my opinion of rally in GT4, I think it's pretty fun now once you get the hang of it. The one suggestion I would really like to see is the Cathedral Rocks I Reverse Track 👍

While doing a bit more of GT Mode today, I had a drive in the MGF... It's quite fun Fully Modded actually... With slightly slippy, yet still grippy(as in, not RSS, or RS tires, RM might even be a little too much grip, or just right), it's quite nice... Would be great fun to toss around somewhere...

I was talking with Small_Fryz recently about the next Board Challenge (#6), to be run later this year, and he pointed out the fact that if we know who's fast on tarmac, we don't really know who's fast on dirt at GT Planet.
Mainly because rally mode is so crap in GT4, so it's not used much. (Only once in the WRS).

Mr P's A.R.C. will feature 2 races on dirt tracks, and I was thinking we could have some dirt races in the WRS too. Of course I have a few combos ready to be posted, but I'd like to get some suggestions from you too.

Anything at Cathedral Rocks I or II reverse and you will be my hero ;)

I think it would be cool to stay away from the generic WRC cars as well. Something the the Mitsubishi Starion, Ford R2000, Lanca Integrale or S4 would be awesome! 👍

Great car choice Iceman,

not sure about the track tho.....

But hey that's me!

For a none rally-fan usually,

Tahiti maze was always my favorate.

sounds like a good practice for GTC...👍
would be fun combos btw

Even if I hate rallying in GT4, if we use the Lancia DELTA HF Integrale, I am in 👍 :D

Please Cyril, make your Italian neighbor happy

The Wizard.

The Accent Rally car we used in...um..about week 8? Is a killer rally car. All the current model ones are really. Much easier to use then the old Group B's.

For the track, nothing too difficult. We had enough replay issues last week, can you imagine Tahiti Maze?! Maybe Swiss Alps, or Ice Arena is the way to go?

Ice Arena is much more difficult than rally and you have to stay at horribly low speeds. Not much fun for me :(

The RS200 rally car with standard hp on Cathedral Rocks I is as sweet as you can get your rally combo :sly:
