The Gullwing at the Ring is a combo I've always liked. Not sure yet if WRSers will like it much. I was thinking at eventually using a race car for our next visit on the Track (with a capital T).

About the NSX at El Capitan, I love it. But what about running a free run session with a fixed number of laps ?
That way we can remove the dumb AI cars and still run a multi-lapper ?
The AI with the NSX race(GT Mode, no power upgrades) is not a problem at all. You get around them before the first turn, it's easy to weave through them on the straight.

About the Gullwing(arcade mode 0%hp increase, S2 tires), it's an easy car to drive, and it's at a pace that isn't too fast. And, FWIW, I don't want to use a race car at the Ring... We haven't had a slower car there yet. And Race tires make it harder with their increased levels of grip, in a way.

Now, Brad, I have I have NO idea why you say that. Try these combos before you diss on them. Both of them are GREAT. Hands down.

It's something about me and the Ring. I'm just awful at it, I hate that stupid track and refuse to do anything on it.

I was only joking about kicking Cyril. I love him too much for that.

Ahhhh, I thought you had something against the combo itself, not necessarily the track... In that case, BRING IT ON! It'll be the first time in a long while(I think?) that I'll have beat Brad... (maybe? :sly:)

Like the last race we had at the ring
(I came last)

Oh and the previous race at the ring

The one before that, (Week 6 or 7) I missed by a couple of weeks. But I'm sure I would have lost it too.
Lol, try harder! I bet you just gave up because you hate the track so. And man, week 6 was my first week in the WRS, that race KILLED ME! I was pretty new to the track, and I had THREE clean laps in like 10 hours or more of racing. Yeah, it was bad. Towards the end, I had T2 times like the upper D2 guys, but never could make a clean lap, or maintain that speed. Restarted too many times and was just doing the beginning of the track... :)

And, I guess we did do something slow at the Ring, that was fun!

I've always loved the NSX. Think it's a perfect car for a track like Laguna Seca or Suzuka.

Then again, perhaps we could do an Arcade mode version of the 1 lap challenge, the Takata Dome (think thats the proper name) NSX at Suzuka.

But I'm still waiting for something fast at Monaco. Although, we did do a fast city course recently (NY), so I doubt the timing would work out well. Perhaps a rally car at Monaco...

Ages and Ages ago. We did the S2000 race car at Monaco (Would have had to of been about week 15), was an alright combo. The problem with Monaco is that anything with too high power will kill you and any fun in the combo.

I'd go for Motor Sport Elise @ Monaco. That way you can still have a pretty fast car, but be able to stop and move around the low speed sections as well.

I think about a month ago I suggested Monaco, just that that time, it was with a Karmann Ghia :sly:

These last few days I've been joking around with some of the small oldtimers. Like the Lotus Elan S1, Mazda 110S, Ginetta G4, Triumph Spitfire etc...

I kept them stock and on medium sports tires. Although they're all low-powered I found them a hoot to drive.

Since I recently returned to WRS after a 7-month break, I don't know if such a car has been used recently... If not, it might be a fun change of pace then :)

With all the discussion of the 'ring races, I thought I'd throw in my two cents...

My personal "relaxation" combo, when I'm tired of everything on GT4, is to drive the BMW M5 (0%, 0%) on N3 (RD) tyres at the 'Ring.

How about a race of the "'Ring Taxis"?

Adapted because we've driven the Elise recently (with the Silvia on Autumn Ring). But it's still a lightweight MR.

Next week is already planned.

Any wishes for week 65 ?

Any wishes for week 65 ?
i've got one for you: gt mode - european events - schwarzwald liga b - fuji 90's (or suzuka full)
audi rs4 - s3 tyres - no turbo - no nos - other free

A3 3.2 Quattro, GT Mode, whatever race it is... Sports tires... Maybe mediums, maybe softs, maybe division dependant?

We've used the A3 3.2 in GT Mode, I can't remember the week.

Any wishes for week 65 ?
Costa di Amalfi (Have we used that since the R32?) with something

We did? Hmmm. Dunno.

Well i would like to run the ring race, but hopefully the car isnt too fast (sub 5'30.xxx) And hopefully we only get 1 to pick from 👍.

Lets hope its a JGTC or equivilant on the ring.

It's quite sad. I have an encyclopedic knowledge of WRS races.

GT WRS Week 35

Sad? It's not sad! :) I loved that race actually!

EDIT: Just looked at the results thread for that race... I guess I REALLY loved that race... First place! Right up there with some D1 guys that I KNOW are quick. Must've actually spent a good few hours that week.

trial mountain, foward.

with the sauber C9. almost the same combo i suggested for the BC:tup:

As week 64 will be a race car, why don't we pace it down for week 65?

What about a Lotus Elan S1 at George V Paris for example?

I'd like to see Trial Mountain Reverse sometime, or even forward. Also I don't think there's been many Gt Mode races lately, I'd like to see that too 👍

Thought I'd toss this in here, as well as in the Pit Stop...

When you put up a replay for a race, please pay some courtesy/respect to your fellow racers and upload and check one of their replays.

I shouldn't need to come back to races that I haven't even raced in, let alone needed to post a replay of my own, weeks later and do a bunch of replay checking. I spent over two hours loading/checking replays tonight, and didn't get any time to race. I know I'm not the only one doing this either. Please take the time to check at least one other replay if you post your own each week, it'd help a lot.

Thanks WRS'ers!!!!

By the way, week 59 has a bunch of NTSC replays that need checking. I'm retiring for the night, so... You should get the drift. :sly:

And, just noticed on the first page that someone mentions the Toyota Caldina GT-Four... That's something a little out of the ordinary, but it is a good car I think...

Mini Cooper S - GT mode - Apricot Hill. 👍

Sports suspension and minimal tuning options to limit BHP.

I could do with another FWD race. :D

1 - Thought it might be cool to run the R8 at suzuka circuit. It was a blast watching it at Lime Rock...

---------------
2 - Testing: Touring cars at Corte d Azur. The Toyota Altezza Touring Car is a blast on this track. Other cars include:

Audi A4 & TT-R Touring Cars
Opel Astra & Calibra Touring Cars
Mercedes CLK & AMG 190 E Touring Cars
Subaru Imprezza Super Touring Car
Mitsubishi FTO Super Touring Car

---------------
3 - Testing: JGTC cars at Hong Kong (forward) I like the fast cars but a slower car can be interesting as well. The tongue twisting Amemiya Asparadrnk RX7 suits nicely. I Also felt a special something with the Honda Raybrig NSX. Other cars tested:

Nissan Motul Pitwork Z
Xanavi Nismo GT-R
Loctite Zexel GT-R
Toyota Woodone Tom's Supra
Honda Loctite Mugen NSX

------------------
I'd like to see a lot more hot laps done in GT Mode. It's a lot more fun manipulating the suspension, gearing, braking, etc... Arcade Mode is fun but sometimes feels more generic and I loose the feel of the car connecting to the track.

👍. Sounds like a Good'un.

I'd like to do something on N-Tyres again. Something with a bit more power. That week we did with the FPV on N-Tyres was fantastic! Maybe the '05 Mustang @ Infineon Sports on N3s. Standard Power will do fine.
