I like races such as Week 68, where we had multiple cars to choose from. But, I think that for future races, it would be nice to have a power limit, or to have a more level playing field. I'd like to think that every car has a chance in each of the 3 divisions, and where tuning and driving skill are the biggest factors. I know there will be some cars that are better than others. However, it's just disheartening to see the fastest drivers are the ones with over 300hp advantage against you.
??? No one was required to drive any car... You could drive whatever car you wanted to, division had nothing to do with car choice in week 68... Am I misunderstanding you?

I was just trying to say that I'd like to see more of a race between the different types of cars. I had another thing to add, but it just left my brain. :(

As in, the Skyline being just as fast as the Supra(which it was, but no one used it), and the 300ZX just as fast as the other two, and maybe another car that's just as fast as the other three... That's very, very, very tough to set up. If Cyril were to spend the multiple hours to get 4 cars that are the same speed for him, one of those four cars may be much faster than the rest in the hands of another person. It's not really feasible to pick a set of cars and have them be exactly as fast as another in everyone's hands.

I was thinking back. And I think we should do week 10 again. Because that was a fantastic race.

That or use some kind of old muscle car like that on N-Tyres, get that feeling of driving an overpowered weapon on the limit. On some small track, I don't know which. Someone else decide for me.

How about arcade mode, anything between 3 and 4 Power/weight on grand valley east reverse.
Or another two week race, one week to rank drivers in order the pair up equaly (e.g first pairs with last), then the second week get the best combined time. Or possibly the second week is done on the biggest improvement position-wise?

Yeah that was a good change. About week 12 or 13 on Suzuka I think 👍. Although you have to make sure your teammate submits, unlike mine that week.

CFM had several ideas to involve team racing in the WRS but he retired before he had a chance to post them.
I like the idea of team racing much, but it doesn't seem to fit exactly in the WRS format since it forces people to race on the second week. And as I recall a few racers were not interested in being part of a team last time.
Perhaps we should first race an additional short combo (with a 3 days deadline) to make teams ?

Use the results of a previous week?

But a short race sounds good. If the week before is just a standard arcade, one car race with no set-ups to muck around with or whatever. Then the first part of the race to work out teams could be done on the Friday Night before the weekend? (Results for me go up at about 7am Wednesday morning, so if it was posted on your Friday night, that'd give most of us the weekend, and the Monday and Tuesday)

Sounds cool.

As long as I don't get teamed up with Balls.....Turtle poo stinks. :D

Aye, it does!

But by the time you'd get to it, it would be dried out and odourless mate. :D

How about, on submission of a week everyone lets you know whether they are interested in participating in the team event. Once you know how many people are willing you can rank the interested people(using that weeks results) and ignore those who dont wish to join in. Using that list of drivers you make the teams(why stay at just 2...?), and then include it as an addition to the normal results. That way no one is left out, and it gives an oppurtunity for extra competition.

I like that idea... I'll get to race with Holl01 (first and last, remmember?) :dopey:

But really, sounds fun. But why not getting to pick our partners out of a group (say, top Div2ers get to choose low div2ers, low div1ers and high div3ers)? That way, we could run with someone we already know, and can plot evil plans...

i have already seen the Peter Brock Memorial race in the spot race forum, but i think it would be fitting to have a race in the WRS dedicated to Australia's legend of motorsport..... obviously the car would be either of the holdens, any track...... any ideas?

I had never heard of that guy before your post, I'll do some research.
Since we have a lot of Aussies in the WRS, I guess they'll appreciate a tribute race like week 34 was a tribute to Richard Burns.

It seems that he didn't race much outside Australia though. It's a pity we don't have Bathurst in GT4.
Since he was nicknamed "King of the Mountain" I was thinking at Trial Mountain, we've raced there recently (week 66) and the tribute race to Burns was already a Trial Mountain.

Right, but Peter Perfect was driving for Holden, so one of the 2 Holdens in the game look like a good choice. I know he raced at Le Mans twice, but neither the BMW nor the Porsche are in the game.
I'll keep searching.

So how about another mountainous track? Something twisty with rocks all around. El Capitan's been raced last week, so that's out...

Well he drove the Monaro a lot and competed in Tarmac Rallies quite frequently so maybe the Monaro CV8 at Costa de Amalfi Reverse or something?

Stop everything! We're not doing it because Gingiba doesn't like it!

I wish I got that treatment, then we'd never do the Ring, or GT Mode, or Multilaps, Or Racecars, or.... [/sarcasm]

I don't think we should do a rally, rallies are generally poor in rally cars, never mind road cars. Costa de Amalfi is a good selection Colby, I don't think we've done it in a while either.

Hey... I only asked not to, I didn't demand. If I'd run the series, we wouldn't do GT Mode, the 'ring, multilappers or racecars, too...

El-captian would have been the first choice obviously.... but since it was done only 2 weeks ago that is obviously out..... Trial Mountian... a possibility... but again was done not too long ago..... what about Deep Forrest? Not as hilly (is that a word?) but none the less still shares some characteristics with Bathurst.

Costa seems a good place to me. How about the renault 5 turbo? or a lancia?

EDIT: i didnt read the page before so my race isnt relay fitting. So as you said weary, mine can be a fun combo suggestion for another week 👍

Well the point was to find a race that would be a fitting tribute to Brocky. But if we're looking at combos that would be fun, I'm in favour of the Renault 5 turbo. Problem is that it's not an easy car to acquire.
