Caterham @ Motegi. :D

I don't think we've done Motegi for a while, not since I've been here anyway, (I started week 52)?

Edit:

Twin ring east short course twice, weeks 7 and 15. Twin ring course used for week 33. About time it made a comeback, preferably the long version? 👍

Edit No2: :embarrassed:

I got my info from the leaderboard but after checking the race threads it seems to be wrong? :embarrassed:
Cyril'll know when we last used it, I know for sure it's not been since week 51. :embarrassed:

Please dont make me race motegi, i hate it lots. How about a nice laguna race, in a catheram. (I saw one the other day, and then an aerial atom drove past too :D)

I'm with Randymcchickenf on the Caterham at Laguna! Actually i would like the Super 7 at any track ...and one in my home garage please:).

I think we would all like on in our home garages, could you arrange that cyril? The winner of each division every week gets the car used that week shipped to them. Obviously excluding holl01 who doesnt have enough garage space.

I'll stick with my request for Motegi, we had Laguna Seca recently, (well week 56), with the Zonda race car. :yuck:

I regularly drive past the Caterham factory/showroom on my way to a regular skate park I use, every time I go past I'm picking out which one I want to take home. Although getting the BMX in might be a bit of a problem? :D

Darren.

Let's switch lives. You've got a Mini, and are close to the Caterham factory. I'm close to nowhere, and live in a country without motorized sport.

Oh, and I'd love a Motegi. Finally, it'll be a track I know, love, and have to learn better ;)

All weeks until #79 are ready to be posted.
Well, they had been already for a while and I had to change my plans to post a tribute to Peter Brock.

What's it like to be so organised Cyril? Very nice I must say.
Still having great fun with 73. I'm liking the idea of a Caterham at Laguna.

now what's that's supposed to mean? do we get homework for the next 5 weeks? are you planning a trip around the world and let colby keep shop?
you're building up the suspense ...

Just calm down, I don't think he's running off to the moon or anything. Cyril's very sedulous and likes to keep on top of things.

But someone said that Toyota Triathlon Motor Car thingy, that's a good idea, it's a great car to drive.

I like the idea of driving any of the un-driveables. Just don't make it the Ford T or Jay Leno, because most people still don't have their golds.
I drove the Caterham around Laguna Seca and Suzuka. Great fun car, this skateboard.

Say, AngelCreator... That 'tar of yours, isn't it a card from Yugi-Oh? My brother was mad about those.

Laguna Seca reminds me: I drove some of the muscle-cars around different tracks this week (It happened to be the Dodge Super-bee @ Laguna), and I found them quite fun as a challenge. I mean, the less the wheels spin, the faster you go - but that means lifting the foot of the throttle until the spin ceases. That'd be a challenging week.

Yes your right, it's the "Change Of Heart" card. I have some cards, about 300
I think. But the cards that I like the most that I own are the "Change Of Heart",
"Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon" and the "Blue-Eyes Ultmate Dragon"(but I only have
two of the three cards needed to make it:(). I still play it with my sister sometimes.

I play it sometimes with a buddy of mine. It's fun...

And back to the topic: I just ran the Peugeot 106 (both rally and v16) around different tracks, and I have to say, if there's one FF in the game I'd LOVE to drive, 'tis is the one. FF-understeer? Little to non-existing. Fun: Totally. So that's my suggestion for Week 80 or later...

(Or, I could find some french rally-driver who drove for Peugeot and died a week ago)

tracks metar - you need to suggest tracks not only cars.
if no understeer then you could suggest some of the narrower or highspeed cornering tracks of the game, but that's up to you off course. as an IRL pug 205 driver i can only support your suggestion.

Caterham... Cyril, thank you. 👍

I'll have to start calling you Jim. :D (Google Jimmy Saville if you're confused, actually don't, you may end up more confused).

Now don't tell me one of your already planned WRS's is at Motegi cause that'll really scare me! I'll end up getting busted for hacking at your request. :nervous:

Just something to set tongues wagging, (which I'm certain it will :mischievous:), how about something like the 2CV or 1949 Beetle? I don't mind where although it might be a bit of a struggle round the ring. :)

I'm going before I cause any more trouble. ;)

Darren.

I won't mind driving around Motegi as I was doing some tests on that track for a championship I was thinking of.

An Mpower theme race along the lines of the NSX race recently. My only request is not to bastardise it by making it arcade, and a decent European track would be nice maybe one not used yet like George paris or something.

Caterham... Cyril, thank you. 👍
Your welcome. That race is ready since the end of August.

I tested indeed the old Beetle at the Ring, but it's not something for the WRS. Spot race perhaps ?

We raced at the Ring in week 64, do you want to go back there already ? (Casio, no need to answer, I know what you think about the Ring).

No no no, not yet. As much as I love the track it's not something I can usually fit into my (tight) GT4 race shedule at the moment. :nervous:

I would like to see something like the old beetle or something of a similar speed, it'd make a welcome change to hanging onto my DS2 controller like I'm hanging onto the back of whatever sports/race car we'd normally be racing. :D

And no don't ask Casio his views on the ring....He's on singstar which means he's been at the fizzy drinks cupboard again. Kids eh? :P

Darren.

We've done Fuji 90's in week 2 (in the Supra I mention a few posts above), and we've never raced at Fuji 80's.

to bring this notion back from the dead... I nominate the AE86 Trueno.
Its fun from that 80's and has that Fujiwara Tofu Initial-D thread pun built right in. ;)

I have a little question, When was the last WRS race that featured a car that has less than 100hp? It would be kind of cool if we had a polo or a fit or something along the lines of that.

120d

As for the 'Ring idea, I dont mind, im not that bad at it.

Greg says if you go back to the Ring he'll murder a puppy.

As a real-life 306 Sedan passenger, I support myself :sly:

I'd say, either of the old-school Peugeots (106 or 205) would do on any technical circuits. I know Citta di Aria's been raced a while ago (week 5x?), but I'd say something less extreme. I dunno... has to have both sweepers and tighter turns, but only El Capitan and Nurb' seem to pop up. El Cap's been raced a while ago, and the Nurb' too - and I can't stand it (the Nurb') for clean racing. How about... Cut that out! Suzuka: Done. SSR5: Done. Apricot: Done. Anyone with more track-knowledge could help?

The lazy-guy in me agrees. Although, Dad's off for two-three weeks to Germany, and sister joins him, so I'll be able to make some good WRS Times, even at *the track*.

Say, are we gonna have another "WRS Anniversary" next week?

Costa di Amalfi is the track you're looking for Metar.

And is there a reason to have another anniversary race next week ?

I am all for the AE86 Trueno. I dont think it would be good at Fuji 80's, it jest doesent have the top speed. It would be better at a technical track.

I'm ALL for an AE86 race! Although it either has to be in the special tuned version, or in GT Mode please...

Did that with the Lanca Stratos, top three where div3 driver's:)(one was me).
Well, maybe, but you were actually a D2 driver in hiding, so... Maybe we need to do it again? :sly:

1949 Beetle?
I drove that thing fully modded once in GT Mode, was a HOOT like that! Wing and all(or could I not get a wing? I don't remember...)
