While I applaud your sentiments for support with the French people against those appaling acts of terrorism Harsk , I'm sure a change in the schedule would upset Sick's plans for future races.I have one idea: What do you guys think if we do a race between French cars tommorrow to pay Tribute to Paris?
Thanks for your opinion, IfAndOr.Perhaps instead of a race it maybe more appropriate for a moment of silence where everyone leaves the track for a couple of minutes.
Thanks for your opinion, IfAndOr.
Well, I didn't want to do this before the race, but after the Spa race has been completed completed. But anyways, the moment of silence is a much better idea in my opinion. đź‘Ť
Cheers!![]()
The Citroen C2 isn't on the game, but you could bring your C3 to the track. We could do a parade lap and then a race lap, meaning, 3 laps. What do you guys think? Any french car will be allowed. đź‘ŤI think that maybe we could combine the two.
After the scheduled race, we can have a french race, where all of you expect me leave the track and have a minute of silence. I will also be quiet, but inside my Citroen C2 which is roaring down the track.![]()
I meant cv2 actually.The Citroen C2 isn't on the game
I agree. I think that everyone should use #13 number, as it was the day of the Paris Attack. What do you think?I meant cv2 actually.
But it's a good idea, I suggest red white and blue cars, we'll do a parade with the cars lined up as the flag.![]()
That brings the choice of cars down a bit, but I don't see anything wrong with it as long as I can have my cv2 which can't have race nr. And also I think it needs a little preparation, like who has red cars, who has white and so on.I agree. I think that everyone should use #13 number, as it was the day of the Paris Attack. That's an great idea. But why not the Standard cars too? That brings the choice of cars down a bit, but I don't see anything wrong with it as long as I can have my cv2 which can't have race nr. And also I think it needs a little preparation, like who has red cars, who has white and so on.
Or we choose three premium cars, the most iconic possible, and just do a lap with that.
I'll go online in a few minutes to test the rally cars. đź‘ŤI'm gonna go online soon, and take a look at the possibilities.![]()

Once, I had come out with a idea of making a One-Lap Magic for the French cars, but it failed. We could do the following:I Think it's alright as long as it's french
We'll work it out.![]()
I mean this Lap Magic like this video below.I don't remember any magic lap, and have no idea what you mean, but that's fine with me.![]()
Yes, but this tribute that I have proposed will not interfere with the races. With a livery editor we could simply put black ribbons on each of our cars.
I appretiate your efforts but in all honesty, I think we should just continue as usual. We'd be better off getting used to these events anyway as they will happen more frequently from here on. Which means we would have to do something similar every second gathering or each gathering soon. And we should be consequent with that once started. Since there was nothing comparable planned after the Russian plane was shot down (where even more people died) though, I do consider a tap of hypocrisy within all this. Let's just keep going, a russian life is not worth any less than a french one or any other, and like I said, these events will continue to happen.
That maybe for the best really for this meeting and in life in general. Once you start changing/altering anything the terrorists gain.I think we should just continue as usual
That's exactly I was talking about. đź‘ŤBut saying that I'm sure Sick won't mind if anyone wants to continue with anything further after his meeting has finished. Or perhaps Harsk you could open an appropriately tittled new room where you may get others joining.

"After the meeting" is fine though. Those who want to take part can stay, the others can chose to leave. đź‘ŤThat maybe for the best really for this meeting and in life in general. Once you start changing/altering anything the terrorists gain.
(Plus at the end of the meeting I have to rush off and make family lunch.)

That's just about how I feel about it to, but now I'm caught up in it, and whatever there will be, I'll help harsk, and we'll see what happens. :-)That maybe for the best really for this meeting and in life in general. Once you start changing/altering anything the terrorists gain.

I didn't say to change your meeting from its original schedule. What I said is to do my races in hour of Paris after we finish the Spa races. đź‘ŤIt is very difficult to know what to say in relation to the tragic events in Paris - my thoughts are with the victims and their friends and families. Sadly terrorist outrages are now a part of everyone's life and as @Flaco13 said are likely to be repeated in different countries around the world. If you want to hold your own races to honour the victims before or after our races on Sunday, please do so, however I won't be changing the meeting from its original schedule - we will continue as planned.
If there is a slot free for the race today mate I can come and fill in although I don't have a jag so won't be able to race in the last one. I'm happy for me to leave so some one else can partake in the jag race. But would love to join in the Races for France and all those who lost their life.
Sorry I couldn't do the tribute I had to rush off for another job.
All three races were quite laggy for me, I noticed this week we were in an open lobby room instead of the club room; I think the club room has been much better on connections whenever we have used it.
The final race I crossed the line 1st but it put me down as 2nd with a -0.192 split instead of the usual +x.xxx. The win was gifted to me though by Harsk doing a Miley Cyrus in the final corner.
