Supercar Festival - Help, tips, information.

Okay, since you called me a lazy bum I'll go try that right now. Then when I fail again for the umpteenth time I'll storm back on here & prove that I was right & you were wrong. That'll show ya....

It doesn't necessarily prove you were right. It does, however, prove that you suck.

I tried it with my Yellow bird, gave up after a while.

I got pretty teed off when I couldn't bring my Cien in to compete in a series where another Cien was my competition! I used my M3 to win the Infineon Sports Car Course, and then I decided to beat the rest with raw speed, since that Cien and Nardo were being such whores. I bought a 97 Skyline and modded the crap out of it to about 790 horsepower, then pwned everyone. The hardest part is controlling the throttle on corner exits. It's really fun to slide, but you'll go through your tires in 2 laps like that :P

maybe You're a terrible driver? :yuck: Lol, i know i beat the supercar festival with the Ford GT

I'm not a good driver and I had no problems with this race with the Vette Z06. What a sweet ride that was too :)

It was hell with the Viper though :P

Yes..that's been established. Now, what is the best car & settings to use in B-spec?
Dont use b-spec its boring as hell, i used a modded skyline and it was, although the tires wore out on me, fairly easy

Hi.

I was wondering if anyone has completed the 'supercar festival' in 'Professional Events'. - ALL GOLD.

I am having trouble finding a suitable car to race with here.

sorry i'm not in the mood to read through the whole topic right now so excuse me if someone already mentioned this

on Midfield (is it Midfield? i'm still mixing up some tracks as i'm new to the GT series) there is a loooooooong "chicane" around a grass field (right-left-right combination) with a wall on the the left entry to the first curve. just go FULL SPEED over the grass, tap the brakes shortly when hitting the track again and steer right carefully and you'll go full speed towards the finish line, saves you 4-6s per round (it's a 6 rounds race). i know it could be considered cheating but if it's the last gold missing it'll help you, you'll even win with a untuned Vantage which will give you 200 a-specs :)

First off, yes drive it in A-spec. Second off, I started it with the new Ford GT, but then saw this cool looking red car with yellow rims called Tommy something. I can't remember the exact name. Anyways. I went and found that car in the dealerships and it cost me
$500 000. Then when I went back to finish off the series with it, and it says it's not a production car. WTF! Why can it be a challenger, but then tell me I can't use it. I kept it completely stock and still denied. Anyone else have a similar problem?

I used the M3 GTR road car. Took a couple of goes due to driver mistakes. That'll be my own mistakes as b-spec is a waste of time. How lazy do you have to be to b-spec a 6 lap race?

I used a Ford GT '05. I had to do it up a bit though because the braking wasnt very good and it was a bit slow on the straights but after doing that I won all the races easily enough

I can't find anything in my garage over the bhp limit which it'll let me race. I must have modified all the cars (like the GT40). Which one should I go & buy (I don't think you can buy the SLR or Zonda?)?

youre right kamil, did that championship too with my ford gt, absolutely stock(because of the unmodified, didnt knew that i could tune)! that were the hardest races i had, but i won every one of them with a lead about 5 secs...and as i am not the best driver, its absolutely possible!

I did run the race in Speed 12 :scared:  whadaya mean, traction problems, I ran it in A-spec, manual gears.. and never used smaller gear than 3rd.. buhbai, Cien, Nardo, GT and such mid-engined supercar wannabes! :mischievous:  :D

This is one of my favorite series in the game, blasting those production supercars all over the place is great fun. As such I've done it in a Ford GT, the McMerc, the saleen and a zonda.
All of those can win stock and make it a good race.

Also the M5, Callaway C12, Z06, and Spyker C8 are all fun to stick in there (they need a bit of tuning to get in and trying to keep up with the Cien in the Spyker and the Callaway was a lot of trouble)

For sheer laughs though, it's all about the TVR speed 12. Stock it'll destroy everything but then I tuned it to 1000+hp, Stage 3 weight, stuck N1 tyres on and turned of all the traction control (normally i leave the TCS at 2, the only car that I think needs a bit) .................

Wheelspin to 6th gear...............260mph............brake.......turn in.........skid out......massive spin.........hit wall/Dirt.............crawl brack to track sliding all over the shop......rinse...repeat.
Still came first at Seoul and New York, LMAO.

miclum
yes you can. the game says 493 or more

Yeah, the spyker C8 (with chip IIRC) and Callaway (again IIRC) have less than 500hp and can win (i've done it in both), but it's a lot of effort. The only others that I reckon could do it under 500hp are the BMW M3 Gtr (tuned up) or possibly a carefully tuned Skyline or RX-7. I'm on a break from A-spec the Nurb' 24hr so I can't try them out but you might like to have a go (if you like a challenge, it's probably going to take some good driving).

By the way the M5 should be able to enter, In the BMW lot it says 499hp, in my garage it says 496hp and on replays it says 491hp so it wouldn't qualify depending on where you get your numbers from. WTF?

I used my TVR Speed 12 for this series. It completely obliterated everything.
I used my audi att or something like that and did no upgrades. This was a great time! Only won 4 out of ten races with racing hard tires and 483 hp. Could not win on any track that was all about straights, but was so close that I had a great time staying close. I won championship 72 to 70! Maybe I suck but had a great time!

I completed this with the Saleen S7, it was a walk in the park except for that other Saleen that kept buggin me. Won every race (had it fully upgraded by the way)

I just completed this race today with my Subaru Impreza STI 22b version!!!
Tuned up like hell ofcourse to 540Hp but it was great great fun beating all those beasts with the relatively petite Impreza!!! ;)
