Supercar Festival - Help, tips, information.

Really, why is it that no rules appear to apply to the computer, they can have Nardo's and Ciens, and even :scared: underpowered cars!

for this championship i used the RUF Yellowbird fully tuned 789hp (i think) without aids :dunce: It took me ages to get used to the brakes and the shocking tyre wear after 3 laps @ Infinion i was powersliding the corners leading onto the front straight mad:scared:

the 12 speed is ok but reading through i think i may have a dodgy game as it allowed me to enter with the polyphonic gt car :sly: somked the compeition easily and im going to re-do it as i think i may have cheated:grumpy:

I just did this one. I started the game over to build up credits for the cars on day 694. I used the Yellow Bird I won in the boxer race. I stuck a new transmission in it, did the port polish and engine balancing to bring it above the 493 minimum or whatever it is, and threw some S2 tires on it, for better endurance then the s3's (didn't really have a problem until the last race).

It is a really sweet ride for these races.

You have to brake in the 'bird really early but you make up for it by throttling up through the turns and spinning the back end around. I found the car hard to control without the aids on, so to be less of a pansy I turned them all down to 5.

jus to let u no, u didnt have to resart the game. u could have just saved up more credits till day 1388. cause every 694 days. the cars come out. idk if that made sense but. yea

@ M0nk3yBaIIz You've already been warned about your txt speek posting style here.

Please don't do it. This post is pretty much incomprehensible to a native English speaker, so just consider how hard our members who aren't native English speakers have to try & interpret that gibberish.

Please take a look in here, specifically 3rd from last bullet point. I'm not sure if we can make this any clearer for you.

Agreed - take heed, M0nk3yBaIIz.

Also, please check your "information" before you post it. The black cars appear every 694TH day in every 700 day cycle, for a period of 7 days, not every 694 days. Day 1394 is the second time they appear, not day 1388.

Finally finished a run through supercar for (almost) 200 per... took me a long time on and off to finally get through it. Won two of the races with an M5 (stock hp but heavily tuned otherwise) for 200 each, but couldn't contain the Cien at New York, Seoul, or Midfield. Tried several cars and tunes without any success...

Eventually went with some advice from the 200 point forums and switched to an M3 GTR (NA2 to enter - raced heavily tuned but stock-hp) and managed wins at Seoul and Midfield for 200 each. Haven't found a 200 point winner at New York yet though. I increased the hp (adding NA1 & racing exhaust) and found a good lineup at 170 points... need to add some ballast and see if I can still hold them off (primary competition's the Zonda).

i have my fully suped mclaren on this race (about 850bhp). and i cannot get past the 3rd car. ive tried turning aids off. would u recommend driving in the game with them off or on?

Man, I've been stuck on theese races over a week. I have tried alot of cars... I got gold in the first two, bronze in the third(N.Y):ouch: and fifth in the fourth(Mid-Field) I still havn't tried the one at Infineon..

Stock S7=lighter than fully gutted GT, IIRC.

And it runs a Windsor Wonderbread motor. (351 Windsor bored and stroked to a 427 or 428.) So I like it. Pushrods FTW!

IMO, that car is bit hairy ( yet fun) to drive. It'll go through tyres quickly, and the somewhat soggy-feeling brake performance doesn't help. Torque and ridiculously long gears will improve the fuel economy though..💡

The unmodified rule doesn't actually pertain to the tuning. It means you can't have any race-bred cars entered, i.e any of the specific Race cars, like the Bentley Le-Mans, etc etc. Tuned cars are fine.

I don`t understand "UNMODIFIED" ! I tried my Cadillac Cien - but not allowed, I haven`t tuned it. Another here wrotes, that he goes with fully tuned skyline, and it`s allowed. What means "MODIFIED" ?? Can`t race with racing cars from dealer?

Will try this evening my Buick Special `62 fully tuned 852HP, but somehow I think it will be refused!

I got reply: Unmodified, simply means, "non-race/concept". You can actually enter with a fully upgraded 1000hp car (ehem, Pagani) car, but not with a weaker concept like the Cien. Somehow, you can't enter with the Cien, but the Cien can enter as AI

I can't even come close with the MFT tuned Ford GT? they destroy me on the straight line speed.. help!

EDIT: Never mind i am talking about the GrandTurismo World Championship..

hey guys,

What car is best used for the supercar festival championship, I've tried using the TVR and the GT40 but still cant come close to winning? Can I get any help guys

You actually can tune cars for this-just don't apply weight reductions, port polish, engine balancing, rigidity increase etc. Anything that you can't remove in Settings, don't apply.

What tha?? :odd:

Ummm, you can do it in any car that can produce OVER 500hp (368Kw) and it doesn't matter about weight reduction or port/polish or engine etc., they can still all be fitted.

No they can't-it says in the race regs before the race 'Unmodified cars only'.

Anything permanent makes the car modified, everything else can be removed.

If I remember right, the term "unmodified cars" refers to race cars only, so you can use any street car with any tune you like. There also is the term "untuned cars", which means what you described above: a totally stock street car. I haven't played GT4 in a long time however, so this might not be 100% accurate. Better wait for someone to confirm...

Theses all work wonders and get you 200 points per race. :)

Sometimes it can help to change the Line-up aswell.

I'm seriously considering handing you a stackhat and sending you to the nearest special school!! You can wear the :dunce: hat today. And I'll repeat myself a little louder so you can understand!!

ANY ROAD CAR IS ELIGIBLE SO LONG AS YOU GET OVER 500HP!!

Go and try it, get over 500hp with ANY ROAD CAR, fit the port & polish, stage 3 weight, and when it allows you to ENTER the race, you can then come back here and admit you were wrong.

How do I know this?? I just got the car entered with my FULLY MODDED SPEC-C!! 522hp, Stage 3 weight, P&P, Balancing & Chassis Rigidity!!
