Supercar Festival - Help, tips, information.

I like the Yellowbird for it.

Hell, I bet a Ruf RGT with a little tuning would be even easier.

I have no trouble with RR cars, I just don't like the Torque Curve on the Yellowbird, and the RGT is N/A...
I was ready through the thread wondering if someone else had tried the RGT too. You should try it out. But here's the twist. I put on the stage 3 to enter and once I got in downgraded to stage 1. Some of the high speed tracks are practically impossible. But I managed I think all but New York, I would take the lead on the second lap, but then when entering the right hander after the horseshoe, the AI brake too late and would slam me from behind, all 4 at once, slamming me back to 5th. I bought the triple clutch, racing flywheel, LSD, stage 1 and stage 3 and off to the races.

Ooooohhhhh...I can't believe I didn't think of that! I have often been itchin' to try out a certain car in the Supercar Festival only to realize that the only way to get in was to go overkill, i.e. a car needs a stage 3 turbo to qualify, but that puts it a 550 HP. I'll finally be try out some of my muscle cars! :mischievous:

I had that problem early in the New York Enduro. Take an abnormally "inside" line entering the horseshoe and the right hander after it. (they'll steamroll you on both).

What happens is, while you have to brake more than you'd like on the inside line, the parade of bad AI crashes into the wall "outside" of you, allowing you to cleanly accelerate out of harm's way.

So, what does the M5 have that enables it to grip, turn, brake, etc on sticky street tires that the Lotus doesn't? Lotus is lighter, has slightly better balance, much lower center of gravity, etc... why no grip?

I have also been wondering about this - the difference between the M5 and the top of the line Mercs is ridiculous. I suspect that the M cars were intentionally programed to be easier to drive for those of us that are just average drivers.

Am I the only one who used the Cizeta for this? At least for 2 of the races it destroyed everything (despite paper brakes) easily, but it couldn't handle the urban tracks. Used the Speed 12 for the urban tracks, but had to get a good draw to win NY (first time had the Zonda out front, which meant a 9 second gap at the end of lap 1, meaning no win for me).

ok stuck on the last one now... using the viper gts and blitzing them but am now having hadling problems... gah!

might try a lightweight stage 1 or 2

ok, finished easy. my viper gts is maxed out now (reads was). I purchased race suspension, light weight 1 to 3 and bspeced it.... blitzed

found myself hating what i did to a great stock car and sold it... i feel better for it
havent driven the prize car yet, whats it like to drive? the whells on it look too small.

The Cizeta? A nice big comedy handling Italian Supercar. And christ is it ugly. Stick to your Fiats - they're much nicer.

this series sickens me, brakes on those sport tires GRRR.
And I always get 2nd with b-spec, tried all cars, diff setups

:( I just smashed my hand in my DS2 and it's bleeding lawl!

Try reading this thread too. Post #96 has a useful list of eligible cars.

Best advice is to A-spec it, rather than B-spec. :yuck:
It's easy enough to win in a stock BMW M5, so if you can't win it in a modified sports car you must be driving like a 90-year old granny that can't see over the wheel!

Hope your DS2 has stopped bleeding now too!!!! :sly:

I thought this race was easy, compared to the GT World Championship in pro. i used a skyline, pretty modded out, to meet the HP requirements, you know. i found it easy in a-spec, so i was gonna try it with the WRX Prodrive, but i couldnt get the horsepower up enough. after that, i just used the S7 to wreck the series in B-spec. So here's the answer to everybody thats having problems: QUIT BEING LAZY AND USE A-SPEC.

THANK YOU...i think the same thing, i don't know why we even have a thread on this race, if somebody has problems with these one...dude, you won't win the GT Championship:tdown:

I just played it tonight for fun.... Ruf 3400s full power(515hp),race trans, sport medeum tires, semi race supsension, 1.5lsd, stg 2 weight reduction,clutch/ flywheel upgrades, and brakes....
Easy as cake!..... 85-150 a-spec depending on grid..lol big range there....

if you don't want to play fairly, use R34 GT-R V-Spec II Nür, fully modded.. 913 bhp will help you out even on New York.

how can i get the minicooper 1.3i?

Unless you happen to be playing the Japanese version of the game, it's not possible to get the Mini Cooper 1.3i.

You should have asked this in a relevant thread though, since this question has nothing to do with the Supercar Festival. ;)

Try searching for "Mini Cooper".

(Sorry for the OT post.)

The Mazda RX-7 Spirit is almost overkill for that event. With 500+ HP, a wing and soft sports tires, it obliterates the AI vehicles in A-Spec mode. I had just tested it at Seoul and it was able to run 58 second laps. The Cien and Saleen were left in the dust by about 14 seconds or so at the end of the race. Didn't even use Nitro. I didn't get a chance to test it in B-spec yet. I'll try it another time but I don't think it would be powerful enough in B-spec mode to win any races.

I Used A Fully Tuned Saleen S7, b-speced all but New York, i A-speced That one, Because My B-spec Bob slammed into the wall going 180

I'm trying to understand why you used this strategy. I used a stock Saleen, with only tires upgraded. A-spec'd it and had no problems.

Of course to explain all of my questions, you couls respond with a simple yes! to this question: Are you playing this only to reach 100%?

i just love to tune up my cars, that's why i used a fully used saleen, also i b-speced it because i stink at a few tracks in gt4, especially the 'nurb

and i'm part racing for the glory of 100%, but i like to see the cool cars all over, and i like to annoy people by talking about this game

I did this race with an Audi RS6 Avant (The station Wagon) and it was challenging, but I didn't mess with the setup. The only car that gave me a hard time was the GT.
