Supercar Festival problems

For as much as people have bad-mouthed the Ford GT '05, I was surprised to find this car damn good. Apart from an oil change and a suspension mod, my Ford GT was stock and it beat all the other cars in the race with extreme prejudice (even the beloved Saleen). Just learn to use the brake pedal, and the GT will reward you with its quickness.

It isnt hard to win with the Ford GT, NY is alittle harder but still not a problem.

I expected better brakes, it helps abit if you dont completly stand on them.

I did it a couple weeks ago, at the time the only car in my garage it would allow was my SL600 that I bought in the used car lot for $136,000. I have modded that car to a very high degree and it let me in fine. I won doing it on a -spec without too much work.

I need help!

I used b spec on the new york course and NO machine can win that course! it's cause of wall crashes even if i AM at 'speed: slow down' I've burned my money and tuned up a Viper, S7.. and most others crash as well as these two.. what do i do? can it be won on BSPEC?
Go easier on the tuning.

I'm also having an extremely hard time on this series. I've got gold on every race except for the last one. I've tried (all of these fully tuned) a newer Ruf, S7, AMG 65, & a Skyline GT-R but no luck. I always come in second. I even tried B-Specing it but the computer always comes in 4 or something. I'm beginning to think it may just be impossible to win this race...

I used a Ford GT, totally Stock*. Requires some skillful racing against cars such as the Cadillac Cien, but overall quite a reachable goal.

*Edit: oops actually I bought some Racing Brakes for it, the brakes on the GT are horrible lol

The upgraded brakes arent required though, I didnt upgrade mine.

If I had read this thread before doing the races I would have been alittle worried.

On which races do you mean??? I am having problems with Supercars festival in PROFESSIONAL hall, where you CAN NOT tune your car. You must have a car over 500PS, and no modification is alowed, except brakes, suspension, transmission etc. but no engine or turbo is allowed. Are you talking about something else, or what? :)

I've done this "Festival" two ways, All A-Spec, and All B-Spec. Both of which I won with my Skyline (Mentioned in sig.) Its HEAVILY modded, around 800HP and can make S7's and McLarens kiss its ass. And yes you can have Turbine Kits and still race it.

You can mod the cars all you want, I had a 550-600hp N1 R34 GTR.

The Cien is "ready-modded" - full racing exhaust. But it's because it's a Concept Car, not a normal roadcar.

Follow:
Nismo 270R (iA licence pass car) to Costa di Amalfi (Normal). Win Subaru Impreza '01 Prototype.
Subaru Impreza '01 Prototype to Boxer Spirit. Win Ruf CTR2.
Ruf CTR2 + turbo (530hp) to Supercar Challenge. Destroy all. Rule world with iron fist.

Which Boxer spirit? Because in my version I got the original "Yellow Bird" CTR, on a side note, I just finished professional hall.

BMW M5 with a SPORT exhaust (love that F1 sound this beauty makes), chip and racing suspension. That's all I needed to obliterate all the competition. Went up against the SLR, ZZII, DB9, Zonda C12 and Spyker. Le Sarthe straights? Forget about it! The only car that gave me some trouble on the twisty bits was the Tommy Kaira ZZII, but I managed to win all the races with some fancy overtaking. If you're uncomfortable with the M5's weight in the corners, I recommend the brakes upgrade and perhaps a stage 2 lightweight conversion.

I have done this series 4 times to obtain all 4 colours of the Cizeta. It truly is not that difficult. Just modulate your braking, don't lock up the tires, and know the course.

You mean the CTR aka Yellow Bird. And all I did was but a Racing intercooler on it and I won no problem. However, if you do this, always avoid the Cien and avoid the ZZII on Midfield.

Well, you know how it is. You think "Yellowbird" and type "2". Easy enough to do... :D

I had no problem with this series, drove a ford GT (I bought) and did some mods (no engine mods) trans and weight red. won it pretty easily. It is harder on the faster tracks but lots of fun. I wanna try it in a corvett and see what happens but I bet you need to mod it all the way to win with it we'll see what happens.

The only way you can truly win is racing yourself in A-spec. You have a mind and the computer does not. If you are a good driver like myself who rarely crashes you can easily win with the right car and a good setup. END OF STORY! 👍

But I don`t understand only one thing. It says that you can`t race these races with modified cars, yet someone said that he raced it with "fuly modified" car. How? Can someone explain can I race it with modified cars, or not. Thanks.
I would have done it myself, but I haven`t got the time, tommorow I am going on a one day trip to Munchen! :)

It confused me too - since I got myself a new unmodified Cadillac Cien to try theis series with, and it wasn't allowed.

I bought a standard Ford GT05 and could only win one race (New York). On the straights I just couldn't compete. I got bored of the series and modded my GT05 - then noticed it was still allowed in the series.

The 'No modifications' only applies to weight reduction I beleive.

Get a Z06 Corvette. Put a wing on it and max the downforce. Buy engine mods to get you to about 625 HP. Buy all the best drivetrain, chassis, and lightening mods. Get Soft Sport tires.

Use this setup:

Give it a little more TCS than Fumes' indicated. Slide the Final drive all the way right to 5.00. Slide the Autoset to 25, then back to 1 and leave it there. Now you have the closest possible ratios on your 6-speed. Adjust the Final for each track, or set it at about 3.75 and leave it if you're lazy.

Kick ass.

I believe when it says 'no modifications', it only excludes race cars and concept cars. As far as I know, you can mod a regular car pretty heavily and still be allowed in. For example, the GT '05 I won the series in had quite a lot of mods done to it, including engine modifications. I think I raced it with about 650BHP and therefore won pretty easily.

just done it in back end happy Yellowbird. took 6 times on infineon with normal on backs. otherwise it would spin on last 2 laps.
