Since no one else has posted one, I suppose I'd better do it.

There's still half a second to come off this. Watch this space...

As far as I'm concerned, you guys are all aliens and I'm a common earthling. I don't know how you do it. I am going to try the venom tune but it couldn't possibly make that much difference versus my admittedly ameteur setup, could it? We'll see!

Wow, I decided to change from the TLD tune to the RVT tune and within 3 laps I broke the 1'58 barrier. This tune has more understeer and requires much less of 5th gear than TLD's, but the evidence is clear. It wasn't even as good and clean a lap as my best TLD time.

I do realise that double posting is frowned upon, however I felt for the benefit of Timo looking only to copy/paste times and not having to dig around, and for the benefit of others looking to compare tunes and see what works for them, two consecutive posts might help accomplish all the above better.

I do apologise sincerely if it is not acceptable.

I feel like I'm betraying Holden by using Dragon's tune, if it weren't for Holden's tune I would have given up on 750pp already! Many thanks to both of you, your talents as tuners are as valuably diverse as they are mightily impressive.

Holden's tune is a little more fun to drive, I feel like I can wring the car's neck. RVT tune is, in my opinion, immediately faster but the understeer can cause problems and it doesn't feel as fast. The results do the talking though as far as a hotlap contest goes.

Guys, I salute you, superb tunes.

All the best
Maz (Synwraith)...sorry for the long post...

Well done Synwraith... now for the 57's!

Understeer is the friend of the pad user... much easier to control than oversteer!

The GT still needs some tweaks; haven't quite got the brake bias sorted out, and I'm hoping toe and camber adjusts can reign in some of the terminal understeer.

:ouch: Makes my time look a bit pants

here's one from leftfield

2'06.924 | Art Morrison Corvette - P3nT4gR4m

This car is amazingly fun to drive, right on the edge of grip limit, even on the straights and I actually managed to finish in 6th and within the time limit tonight :D

First car I have tried and I think I am hooked already ;)

1'58.719 | Chevrolet Corvette Z06 / Tuned - Mr P

I will beat this tomorrow as I have lots of tenths scattered around the track to collect .. this car is a great drive at Suzuka with R3 tyres

Update:
1'57.948 | Ford GT '06 - AsteroidSHDTV

I thought I'd get more speed out of those tweaks for sure... I ended up having to increase the amount of understeer to get those couple tenths. RBE already retards the GT '06 in online play, and these tweaks did nothing to help the situation.

Little update and added the S2000 time that I did seven days ago. Might as well have one Amuse on the list.

Edited times as the same as post #73

Thankyou muchly, it seems RVT is more tuned in to hotlapping and my tunes lean towards a really fast race setup, as some of our recent tunes continue to show.:)

Still going with the GT '06 I see.:dopey: Was that the TLD tune?

Uh oh, the fast drivers are coming out and all putting down laps now, what chance do I have?:ouch:

Did a few laps in the Corvette Tuned and got a 1'58.025 with another .300 to get easy next run.

Edit: 1'57.615 with a little tweak, not spent too much time on it and more time to had out of the lap. Nice car for this event.

LFS = Lion-Face Speed....just opened up new tuner shop :)

Try my Corvette Timppaq.

I would end up tweaking it completely anyway... lol.. It's just that I can't drive a specific tune given to me.. as I always make the car suit my style and not the other way around, I sometimes struggle with the showdowns for that... for evereryday use, it has to be spot on for me... lol. ;) But for reference, I can try it.. who knows how fast it'll be..

1'58.581 | RVT Chevrolet Corvette/Tuned - Synwraith

I was gonna post last night to say that if someone does a perfect lap a 57 is possible in the Vette. Then I saw Chronos's post. Great job mate :)

Well done Synwraith... now for the 57's!

Cheers matey, but Chronos beat me to it ;) I can't see myself giving up on this though as I'm thoroughly hooked. I've been ahead of the ghost in enough places to know a '57 is there. I may even let the balls drop and try messing with the settings :P

Considering every car in 750pp eats the Vette alive on the straights, the times are a credit to how amazing this thing is in the corners.

I can't wait to see what Dragonistic and Timo can do in the Vette!

All the best

Well I got my wheel cranking now :dopey: (One afternoon and I've already gone 0.9sec faster than my old Alfa 147 time at Fuji, and that's a slow little FWD car ). Now to move up a performance division, would everyone agree that maybe the 135i at Suzuka is the next step? Eventually I'll build back up to this level and see if I can improve my Corvette time.:mischievous:

Little chip away again on the Vette Tuned time...... this time in the Dutch Customs Vette.

OK, I really really suck at Suzuka in the 135i, I can't do the esses at all. How many people left foot brake there?

Cheers Maziar, 1.56 is possible with more tweaks I think.

You need to try your own tune mate, 1.57 is easy if you do. RVT and TLD are probably great tuners but read the description of the vette from RVT, its not for Suzuka and is set for safe driving. I tried the vette tunes out of interest of the thread as tuners have popped up in the hotlap thread and TLD has pretty much the same tune as RVT.

One of the advantages of the wheel/pedal setup for me is it's a lot easier to balance left foot braking and throttle. In answer to your question - yes. I left foot brake through the esses in the GT06 and LMspec but only a short stab to throw the weight - the rest is throttle control.

Also go easy on the wheel - less is more. Try to remember you're not driving with the computer assisted joystick autosteering shenanigans they apply to the pad. You have to do it all yourself now :sly:

1'57.812 RVT Viper tuned - Stotty

Still using Drag's tune but now running reduced d/f so I can have a few more ponies for the straights (thanks to Hugo for the tip)... makes T1 a bit harder to nail perfectly though... get it all right and a 57.2 would be doable. Lower d\f certainly better on-line... can match the GTLM's now.

Cheers for the advice mate, I'm going to have to give that a go. And just reading Stotty's post I was thinking the exact same thing, drop a few points of aero since the car is absolutely a dream at the moment, and ramp up the power a bit for the straights. Do you think that would improve things on the Tuned Vette around Suz?

I hate tuning, I just make cars worse.

I stupidly overwrote my WRS qualifier lap without realising when saving this replay :ouch:

1'58.039 | Chevrolet Corvette Z06 / Tuned - Mr P

I reckon I can get a few more tenths but not sure about a 1.56 :scared: Great lap so far Chronos 👍

Well, without further do, I knew that people expect more from the Tuned Vette, well here's the answer. Me and my team, we tried to see what areas the vette needed improvements, what we find out was that it's all about the style, how you push the car to its limit because after all, this car is already fast. Well today after playing around with NLxAROSA Tuned Vette, which it fits my stile of aggressiveness I pushed and pushed this car to its limits pulling a time which at the time I couldn't believe...I did 1.57.789 and then I continued pushing and pushing, see what areas I need to make up time, so then by the 10th lap I did 1.57.278. But since I love this car so much to death and I know this car has alot potential I continued, by the 20th lap I was at 1.57.145 and then when I thought maybe it's too much I clocked by lap 40th an amazing time of 1.56.995. So today it makes a new era for the Vette which today I can proudly say, this is a 1.56 car! :P Thanks to NLxAROSA for this awesome setup and all my teammates!

:P So do I but I knew that I needed to see what I was doing wrong and where I could improve. So see, it takes time and time and time. My wife was mad at me for playing one hour just to crack the 1.56.995. I was in heaven and relived. lol

I don't left foot brake in any vehicle......... at any track. I've never felt comfortable driving whilst braking with my left foot.

Makes the GTLM near impossible to drive, but i'm not a fan of it anyways....
