I don't left foot brake in any vehicle......... at any track. I've never felt comfortable driving whilst braking with my left foot.

Makes the GTLM near impossible to drive, but i'm not a fan of it anyways....

I guess you need to modify your pedal inputs and driving style for different cars.

I haven't used the clutch so far, so I have been left foot braking the past week. Works very nice. Since I'm getting used to the wheel now, I think I'll switch to right foot braking sometime next week, and use the clutch. :)

Thats the way. 👍

Well, without further do, I knew that people expect more from the Tuned Vette, well here's the answer. Me and my team, we tried to see what areas the vette needed improvements, what we find out was that it's all about the style, how you push the car to its limit because after all, this car is already fast. Well today after playing around with NLxAROSA Tuned Vette, which it fits my stile of aggressiveness I pushed and pushed this car to its limits pulling a time which at the time I couldn't believe...I did 1.57.789 and then I continued pushing and pushing, see what areas I need to make up time, so then by the 10th lap I did 1.57.278. But since I love this car so much to death and I know this car has alot potential I continued, by the 20th lap I was at 1.57.145 and then when I thought maybe it's too much I clocked by lap 40th an amazing time of 1.56.995. So today it makes a new era for the Vette which today I can proudly say, this is a 1.56 car! :P Thanks to NLxAROSA for this awesome setup and all my teammates!

1.56.995 | DC Chevrolet Corvette/Tuned - BRracing_ProtoX

Great lap...

;)

Triangle is reverse, does this change with the H-Shifter (Which I'm not using until I can at least catch the slightest of slides)

It's not when you're in h-shifter mode so yes, it changes. You have the "real" reverse on the shifter then. Note the gear display (the number) goes light grey when the clutch mode is changed succesfully (If I remember correctly)

:P So do I but I knew that I needed to see what I was doing wrong and where I could improve. So see, it takes time and time and time. My wife was mad at me for playing one hour just to crack the 1.56.995. I was in heaven and relived. lol

That's a spectacular lap mate and way beyond my abilities in this car I expect .. Congrats! 👍

Any chance you could let us view it? a lap so fast was surely saved for reference :)

Does anyoe else get little squeaking noises while cornering with the G25?

Could I also find out if 2'25.0 in the 135i offline time trials is any good?

 i do about 5 laps to get my times.

You guys who claim to run only 5 laps for a combo are either full of cack and trying to look better than you really are? or you are great racers who are damn lazy at hotlapping ... which one is it? me personally I put in much more effort and don't get on par with my best laptimes until I'm in the zone a good 10 - 15 minutes into the racing .... and then it can take me forever just to put everything together :grumpy:

So to the guys who run 5 laps! try running 20 and you will be unbeatable I expect  might as well say you done it on your out lap :sly:

Well i do 5 hotlaps, I may have been racing before in competition, my GTLM time granted, took more like 10 laps, but most other times don't take so long especially on the sticky R3s and if the cars FR layout as I'm most accustomed to. I don't enjoy hotlapping anywhere near as much as the race. I also have the ability to adapt quickly naturally in most things I do, for instance in my very very first game on COD i managed more kills then deaths on a map i'd never seen with a weapon i hadnt used. I jump straight into online races with no practice or warm ups and it usually takes me the first lap to adjust to normal.

That's funny, I was just wondering when I'd start getting good with it, I should make a blog:

Day 2- Started trying to drive 135i, still 4sec off the lead time, that's if I finish the lap.

I wish I could help you there buddy...but I was so tired and my wife bothering me that I forgot to save the freaking replay. But sure enough don't worry...I am pretty sure I will do it again and this time around I will save it. When I turned off my PS3 that's when it kicked me......I was so mad but WIFE was almost to the point of divorcing me. You know how it is. :P

If my wife was constantly pestering me to switch off the PS3 with the threat of divorce I'd take her up on her generous offer :D

Timppaq,
Seeing that we all now have the ability to save and post replays without too much trouble nowadays, could you therefore make it a requirement in this combo that any lap times submitted must also have a saved replay of the run and kept safe in case a replay is requested by a fellow member?

I believe it's time we got back to normal OLR practices.

Well, It's ok with me. I truly understand where you are coming, the clean drivers here deserves it. (..not accusing anybody!!) 👍

So, I do firmly suggest, that from this point on you save the best lap replay before posting any time, icon looks like this:

save_best_lap.jpg

"Save The Best Lap Replay" / "Ghost Replay"

So this will be a requirement from now on.

@ BRracing_ProtoX, It would show a great sportmanship, if you would be kind enough to drive the lap again, seeing that the confirmation has been requested. Your time will stay on the board as the rule was introduced only at this point. You don't need to drive the exact same pace.. I believe within 0.1 is enough... we're not so serious here. As I see it this is a great opportunity for you to show your true colour as Mr P has turned everyones eyes to you. So hit the perfect lap again, and I'm sure the response will be worth hearing! ;) 👍

And if anybody is wondering, I have all the laps that I've posted saved. Common sense to me.

I have been asked how do you send replays in, here are instructions on how to send replays...

1. Save your replay in the normal way
2. Quit game
3. Insert a USB Storage Device
4. Using the XMB, select game, select Saved Data Ultity
5. Scroll down to your Replay
6. Press triangle & select copy
7. Select the destination for the copy of your replay (USB Storage Device)
8. Copy it
9. Email the replay from your USB Storage Device

Sounds a lot, but it is pretty easy.

edit: 1st post updated

edit2: oops, I had a little mistake there... should be ok now.

Thanks, 👍
I just want to stress that I'm not trying to single anyone out with this request. It's simply an old and trusted method used in OLR that stops any accusations being made against clean and honest drivers. 👍👍

It is also a great method of gaining respect and acknowledgement as a clean and honest driver. I cannot name a single respected driver (pre GT5p) within the OLR community that doesn't supply a replay if requested. I believe we should now get back to that standard. 👍

Jerry, if there's anything you feel would be appropriate, feel free to edit my 1st post. 👍 Or say a word and I'll do it.

Which is why, IMO, not just BRracing_ProtoX, but all drivers should submit a replay with a similar time as they have posted now. Like Timppaq said: it doesn't have to be the exact same time, within 0.1 second or something like that is enough. :)

And I think it's a good idea to make this mandatory for any event here on GTP. Which reminds me that I should create a GTP_ account. ;)

I'll sub mine when I get home from work tonight. The GT06 one is pretty uninspiring but the Art Morrison is one of the best looking replays I've ever seen

Is this a 'official' request? :)

It will be mandatory for all offline official GTP events. 👍 However, what the host/steward of unofficial events (such as this one) decide to do is entirely up to them. Notice that I asked Timppaq to apply this to the event, not instructed him to do so. Again however, If a host/steward wants their event to be taken seriously and attract many of the top drivers, then applying this ruling is a must.

There are a number methods that a host/steward can use for this, for example:

  • only supply a replay upon request (this event)
  • all lap submissions supply a replay (during or after the event)
  • only the top five need supply a replay (after the event deadline)

Jerry, if there's anything you feel would be appropriate, feel free to edit my 1st post. 👍 Or say a word and I'll do it.

It's looking fine. 👍

Perhaps you could move the replay changes down to the bottom of the post after a day or so and allow the top of the page to focus more on the event. 👍

And you were right Sphinx. I think this is only good for the event.

👍

And as the host of this show.. :sly: We'll do the following:
  • Fastest time of each particular car will need to be verified
  • Request can be made by a fellow member for a particular lap to be verified

👍 Just what I was thinking to do.
