Desription

Lap time as of this posting is 1'25.944 good enough for 18th place atm. This is one of my more extreme setups as far as loose handling goes, therefore it requires very precise throttle and braking control. You really have to modulate the throttle carefully, I really can't stress that enough with this tune. If you can get it right, the results are huge. I have had sectors equal to the leaders with this tune, so it is a fully capable tune if it fits your driving style and are used to loose handling cars. I realize with its loose handling, it may not be for everyone, so if you need help in tightening it up a bit, just ask and I'll be glad to help. Good luck everyone...stay fast and don't stop till you get to the top.

*If you use and find my tunes helpful, please take the time to stop by the above link and rate the tune. I put a lot of time and effort in putting these tunes together and sharing them, all I ask is that you take a second give the tune a rating. The rating button is at the bottom of the page in the link. Thanks guys, appreciate it.

What's the ballast position on this tune Mitch?

TUNER NOTES -
Need a little brake from the norm for this TT?...:D would you ask anything less of me? :dopey:

Down to 1'25.869 bringing myself to 25th on the board after falling a bit the last day or so.
Getting closer to your time Cargo, down from a 1:29 to a 1:27.289.

Adjusted diff a tad from your settings and BB to 7/10. Loose all of my time to you in the big sweeper in last sector and then a poor exit onto the straight. 👍 On your tune and really need to play with the throttle on this one all of the time. Good fun and hope to get a bit closer and break into the top 100.

Wow Shoe, great improvement. Yea, you really have to be precise with the throttle on this one but like I said before, if you get it just right, the improvements can be huge. I have a stiffer spring than normal in my accelerator pedal which helps with the precision. I took like almost two hours last night to analyze my lap against @Doodle and I'm losing a good bit of time (almost ..500) right there in the middle part of the track. Its the curvy part just before that sweeper you are talking about, that seems to be my trouble spot. I really don't understand how he is getting through there so quickly. :boggled: I'm getting ready to work on it some more right now.

I think I am using half to three quarters throttle in that curvy part just before the sweeper and try to not over work the tires. That sweeper is just killing my lap and I may just try braking a bit earlier for it and getting on the throttle a bit sooner. I know the track now which was a hard one for me to get down for some reason.

With that sweeper, what I do is brake just enough to get slowed down then release the pedal quickly creating brake oversteer and if done at the right spot, you will be pointed at just the right angle and you can immediately get back on the throttle hard on exit. Its kind of hard to explain the spot, but maybe if I can upload my replay here in zip file then you can watch it on your PS3 then you can see what I'm talking about. That's the only way I can get a replay for you as I have no way of recording one. Let me know and I will upload the zip file tomorrow for you.

Thanks and this makes sense for the sweeper. I have been releasing the brake too slowly. I will give this a go today, thanks!

I hate Willow, but since it's the first time I put my GT6 disc in in over a month for the update, I might as well do all the seasonals while I'm at it. I did a single lap, got gold by less than a tenth, quit.

thanks! I was taking the wrong approach --lightest car possible with few upgrades-- barely made gold. Then I followed your tune, dropped under 1'30!
I then made a bunch of tweaks and I'm now in the top 500! (491st, huge feat for me)

No aids except ABS 1, with DS3 controller.

Height 95/80
Springs 5/5.5
Compression 7/8
Extension 8/7
ARB 4/4
no camber
toe -0.08/-0.10

Brakes (normal) 6/5

Transmission: put final gear at 6.500 & max speed at 100mph/160kph. Then move gears 1-4 to the rightmost point, set 5th gear at 1.080, and finally move final gear again to 5.500

LSD 5/6/10 + buy triple plate clutch.

Buy all power parts (engine 3, ECU, racing exhaust, manifold, converter, intake, turbo 3) and put power limiter at 99.7%.

Add 200 kg ballast at 0%. 5.77 kg/HP (154 HP, 890kg), torque 129 lb-ft.

1:25,781 with the DS3 :)
1st in Greece & 39th overall 👍

#420 atm 1:28.023- had a 1:27 but did a tire skid on the last corner. Might make my first top 500 with this one since everyone is doing the GT Academy Rd. 3 challenge.

Maybe I'm just tired or something, but it feels like the car grips more the further back I move the ballast, I've moved it all the way back now (+50%) and are running consistent high 1.24. I also used alot of rear toe-in to make it controlable in turn 2, 8 and 9.

This car suits this track pretty good, but I still hate the track.

389th place atm with a 1:27.885. Should be a top 500 in my 2nd month of playing seasonals.

finished at 364th place with a 1:27.780- just a mere 3.796 secs off the leader's time. (said jokingly) :) don't know how you guys up front do it- simply amazing!!!

Congratulations on the win!!
Thanks, It seems alot of the aliens are focusing on GT academy now, therefore making it possible for me to win. in fact, I had about another 2 tenths left to get if it would be needed. It wasn't needed tho:P

the setup might also have had something to do with it...

...hah. Seems my most competitive times are in underpowered cars. ;)

1:29.135, good enough for the top 1,000 global (ranked 963rd, all told.)

If I had seen this thread sooner, could've tried a proper tune to try chasing down another second or two.

Nice to see I'm in good company. Cheers all! :gtpflag:
