On the video above at grand valley he made a legitimate move up the inside and was halfway up the side of the other vehicle,he had the corner the other car turned in on him!

From when I was racing it was wrong to force your way into a gap that isn't open or if you aren't close enough.

He was close to the guy, yes, but halfway would suggest 50% minimum - he was only on the back bumper, so thats about 10%. That isn't half way, thats behind and not in a position to go for a gap that he shouldn't be going for. The only reason the gap opened up more, was because your son pushed the other driver off the circuit, which isn't allowed nor is it sporting. Do that in real life, you'll get a punch from the driver and the stewards will give you a penalty.

I understand what your saying but he made a move up the inside and wasn't out of control, the car being overtaken shouldn't block at all costs and has to give the corner up if he has had his line taken which in that case he had, he wasn't off track or out of control and passed because he was going faster at that point

People have been DQ'd and banned for aggressive driving in the past and there should be no exception in this case, no matter who is defending the guy. 👎

Mr Steve,

You didn't see any bad moves from myself, did you?
Apart from when your son almost had me in the Pit Wall so I used the Horn for the first time ever in a Touring Car Race?

Apart from this, pass me some popcorn?

Jason.

Oh and Mr Steve, do send me a PM - I have something you may be interested in! :D

yes I heard the horn on the pit straight he was trying to break your draft and get one himself IIRC and moved over to the pit wall and you were probably too close for that so fair point but it is difficult to judge how close other cars are behind.

steve

I so want to down a few pints and just forget what I just read.

Mr Steve, as a club racer then I ask you this: Is it considered acceptable to run into people consistently square in the back bumper, brake some twice as late as everyone else where the only result will be shooting across the track (potentially into another car) due to the tight trajectory your car went in?

@ Scania, just gonna say, you did a little bit too much weaving in race 2, thats that. 1 block and 1 move back to the racing line is the permitted rule.

I would be disapointed if i were to be banned first meeting. Id say one more chance to prove clean racecraft then take it from there. :-|

He wasn't out of control, but he made another driver go into a dangerous position leading him to being out of control. Forcing another driver into a dangerous position is bad. Whats made worse is that Dano was not along side nor close enough to claim the position was his. The driver infront should be allowed to take his line as he hasnt left the door open, nor is Dano alongside.

In real life thats a penalty, look at Jackson penalty in BTCC today. Same incident as your sons.

what for? to dream about racing for real cos trust me it's great and i'm living the dream lol

steve

There's something fishy about this...somehow I can't imagine that a grown man would type with such a 'bad' manner. Maybe it's just me, but I really think this is baloney.

I.e. - just a kid trying to get away with something.

there was room for 2 through that corner and dan had the line thats how you overtake it's not all about straight line overtaking the other driver over corrected and lost it himself.

Hey guys this is jensen button just swinging by to let you know that I'm monitoring this situation on my friend danny's account. Put my name into google and you'll see that i race fo' realsies.

ok this isn't dano it's his dad, I watch my son race all 3 races last night and I can't believe the reaction and disqualification he has received, I saw bumping and barging all through the field not just from my lad, a lot of his moves were on my advice as an experienced saloon car racer (real cars not your telly stuff!) I have a dam good idea of what is allowed and what isn't..
Michael Schumacher is an experienced racer and he didn't know what was allowed and what wasn't.

Oh, and get your own account.

Popcorn sold out. Show's over.

Returning on-topic, Infiniti granted ECU for next week, Ford loses it.

You wouldn't want to get your "son" into trouble, now would you?
AUP
You will not use “textspeak” (“r”, “u”, “plz”, etc.) in your messages. Decent grammar is expected at all times, including proper usage of capital letters.

And this wasn't a suggestion.

He actually wasn't far enough alongside in that video to make the pass work without contact, he only had his nose alongside, and to have the position you need half a car. As for the races this weekend, I didn't see it so can't comment on his driving, but for Furi to purposely take him out in retaliation I can agree is wrong :)

Google: Sebastien Vettel, Schumacher, Neddell, Button, Hamilton, Plato, etc., etc. Just because you'll find videos of them, it doesn't prove that any of them are related to me.

There is room for two but two reasons it didnt happen. 1-Dano wasnt close enough for a clean move. 2-the guy infront is INFRONT therefore does not need to allow him to go through.

Passes can be done on corners, but only if the guy passing can do it by stopping in time, not forcing another driver wide or pushing his way into a gap. If you push its not fair.

If you think its fair then thats messed up and wrong. Sorry.

So who was racing Steve or Dano?

Just going to say I did apologise for hitting Dano off, but even Ayrton Senna had moments of madness.

I have to say having watched Race 3 back that Dano's driving was not really any worse than anyone else during that race. There was one divebomb but then I got clattered into Turn 1 on a couple of occasions by others doing the same thing. The rest was the bumping, rubbing, cutting and run-off use that ALL of us did during that race.

However, I still believe Dano's passing attempt on me in Race 1 which resulted in him hitting Furi was misjudged and late. That said, the ample run-off meant Furi lost little if no time.. and if I'm really honest from my POV directly behind it seemed as if Furi was deliberately swinging his car at Dano until he successfully had him off in retaliation.

I have no intention of fuelling a s**tstorm or personally attacking anyone, but if that's what Furi was attempting to do then that's seriously out of order for a series host to be doing. I didn't save the R1 replay but that's how I interpreted it at the time while directly behind them.

My two cents.

ok is this proof for you this is dano in front of my race car at snetterton in 2012 when we raced with the british GT championship

and me with my car on my drive!

think that is definitive proof is it not????

steve

I raised my hand, and sure as hell had no intention of totally wrecking him. Dano's issue was brakes, Race 2 the group I was in had an excellent battle, if there was a gap closing we'd momentarily back off, let people through, races are not won in 1 turn. Also because you can overtake doesn't mean you have to. Positioning, setting up your car for the next turn, anticipating where others will come from.

If you try a "pass at every chance" philosophy you will come unstuck pretty quick...

@Steve, I wasn't doubting you, been mentioned before. But as mod's said, use another account.
