Honestly, I'm more of a fan of the later Toyobaru Tra Kyoto kits. The V1 kit just looks like a mess.

I suspect it has more to do with the fact that they were seen as a successor to the RX-7--which has suffered plenty--than something from 2005. Bear in mind, they were released two years prior and four years after the Faster & Furiouser franchise came to be. In fact, a quick look into what was on display at the 2004 SEMA Show reveals a "riced" example:Often they are rriced, mostly because they were introduced in NFSMW 2k5.
