I've got the nagging suspicion that it isn't a GT-R, seeing as gennies are rare as hens' teeth and if one really had one, surely they'd have the badge in the grill--so I wonder what it actually is. Still...not-too-oversized wheels, plenty of clearance (in the fender and below the rockers), OE-style overfenders (not a fan in general but at least they're not obviously chintzy aftermarket bits)--it gets a nod from me.

Wrong fender mirrors, too - GT-Rs have black ones of a different style, so I'd say you'd be right.

I don't delve deep into Skylines--I appreciate the old ones for their "L-series-ness"--but I'm given to understand the GT-X actually possessed rear flares as standard.

Kinda don't understand the negative stigma about cars that are at SEMA. I mean sure there's some god awful stuff (That Baby blue Corvette comes to mind), but I fail to see how ALL of them are terrible. I see this all the time every time SEMA comes around.

Think of SEMA as the caricatures of the car world.

Ever seen those political caricatures? In a satirical way they highlight/point out the physical flaws of a political figure. So for example, big ears, big noses, square chins, etc. are exaggerated in caricatures.

SEMA is the same way. They showcase products and in order to point out these products they have to grossly exaggerate them. For example, suspension kits showing off their camber settings often going beyond practicality to make their point.

These exaggerations are often not considered tasteful.

Whether they are showcasing performance products or cosmetic products, most of the time they are not tasteful. Obviously, you'll have exceptions

It does, sadly i couldn't find a picture of the front. This type of green with black is also one of my favorites color combo.
