Tasteful Modifications Thread

Apart from the Red 86 they're all questionable in my view. Something can't be tuned/modified tastefully if it's got so little suspension travel that it would make it slower and worse handling.
The Porsche and the BMW are on air suspension. They're lowered specifically for the show.

Ehh I'd throw the red 86 in there as well.

@ProjectWHaT don't get me wrong, they're all gorgeous, but from this point of view their modifications are counterproductive.

And yes I understand some of them are on bags but do they race in them? If they drift or race on bags then I'd give credit where credit is due.

Nothing like seeing a Toyota Chaser being done right.

How is it counterproductive if these cars are not modified in a way to be raced? Lets be honest, they're very likely to be hard parkers the vast majority of the time and if they are, then counterproductive would not be the word here :P

If they actually do go out racing and what not, maybe that'd be the case. I don't hate them, but some are a bit too low, but I guess that's the benefits of having air suspension.

No I understand, I don't hate them either. Just the fact of modifying them to "race spec", even if it is only for aesthetics, and hard parking them is kinda misleading. I still haven't found the word for it, but it just doesn't fit.

I mean I love the look, but at the same time.... I don't know.

Anyway,

@Neddo

Speaking of MEC, back when I was about to make a deal on a CLS500

There aren't a lot of Corvettes from this time period I like all that much modified, but this is the first one I actually like. There isn't one thing on this that doesn't work for me.

Same goes for this. I even dig the hell out of the Hood Vents, they just look insane.

Finally found a Z4 bodykit that looks great. Would've like to seen abit more done with the body, but I like what I see here.

Love this 370Z. Apart from the Rear Wing (Don't really care for it after seeing it so much), it looks amazing.

Just awesome.

Lowriders are a guilty pleasure of mine--particularly the full-on sort with flake-laden bass boat paint and enough gold plating to make a sultan blush--but there is nothing even remotely tasteful about them. They're gaudy, which is the exact opposite of tasteful.

...Damn, I was thinking of posting a certain Beemer on the Odd modified thread, but I pushed on, I found something exquisite that ACTUALLY bloody works.

Old enough, no crazy paintjob on it, slick black. If you ask me, this could very well work. Unusually good, lemme tell you.

In the pantheon of modifications you don't usually see on certain cars, that absolutely is tasteful.
