Power is nothing without control, Mafs. Whilst your F6 is wondering why it's tyres aren't finding any traction, my CSL is already halfway down the road.

Sorry mate, you're thinking of the Supra. The F6 is one of the most tractable and balanced cars I've built despite it's near 1800kg frame. That's why it will do a 12.2 on the 1/4 still and go ballistic in acceleration from 80-260km/h, where there isn't much that can touch it....and incase you don't realise, the slowest corners on Motegi are around 70-80km/h so wheelspin is gone by that time.

Remember, the F6 is just a backup, I actually had an M3 GTR lined up for Supercar, with 485hp and around 1400kg. That was doing mid-11's on S3's and getting to 195mph with a Motegi time of 1.20.6!! All of the TCv5 tunes I find when I'm at the new house will go in GME as part of Big Batch 2 now.

I'm slightly confused about the middleweight class: is the Hp limit 375 Hp no matter what the weight is, or is it variable as long as it falls within the given power : weight ratio? The only reason I ask is because the battle monster for the middleweight class is over this limit.

If you're over the maximum horsepower and/or minimum weight/power ratio, you have to scale back till you meet both.

For us, it's static. 375hp maximum. 1051kg minimum weight. The battle monster might be over power limit, but the WPR is right in the middle of the range of what you guys get to play with anyway. And the handling is that bad on the Lancer, it didn't matter how much power it could've had.

Besides, most people are smashing the BM's time by atleast 5-6 seconds!!

Going back to the 4WD debate, I have enoumous respect for all wheel drive in real life even though it doesn't really appeal to me but the way that they are portrayed in Gran Turismo kinda kills them for me and Forza isn't that much better either.

But I can't think of a way to go faster on snow, gravel or a wet road.

My Subie doesn't at 3kg of ballast which is what I tested at But by the maths it works. :/

EDIT: Speaking of said Subie, I didn't list the oil change on the parts list because I'm a dunce and didn't realize I had changed the oil when I wrote it up.

Mafs, can I get you to put a note on it on the car list or something? The power isn't strictly needed but it would be nice to actually have the name make sense.

It should be alright so don't worry too much about it, I think most of us will realise the power figure being different and fixing that up. 👍

But that figure better be right on garage screen otherwise it gets trashed. Or you leave the oil change off and it will be well within range.

I'll open up the judging thread when any of the other judges are ready to put them up for you guys. I just wanted to get them all bundled together.

The only disqualification came from amartya's Heavyweight entry. There is no way it was over 1300kg, since stock is 1260-1270kg for that model and he had Stage 3 weight reduction fitted.

Otherwise, all cars are fine and ready to race and been bundled into their respective categories. I'm shocked with Middleweight, 16 entries!! I'm going to be busy until Christmas with this list of 48 entries.

The amount of entries per category are:
Lightweight - 13
Middleweight - 16
Heavyweight - 8
Supercar - 11

You know, i had thought about entering a 4WD in the middleweight division to stand out from all of the Rear-Wheel Drive entries...But i went with a Renault Clio Sport instead. Ah well, i'll probably come up with a whole host of 4WD entries for TCV6!

EDIT: The real reason there aren't any 4WD Middleweight entries probably stems from the fact that a) There aren't many 4WD's that can meet the Minimum weight limit and b) There aren't many 4WD's that can meet the minimum WPR In My Humble Oppinion.

Actually theres plenty of Impreza's that'll make the weight. Infact the Coupe Ver.VI '99 weighs about the same as my NSX.

I'm back to being busy with GT4 in what little time I have. Building the other entries, ressurecting my garage (even thinking of a name change, any ideas?), thought up some ideas for a race story but that might not happen due to time constraints. Also attempting to help mazdaman with a rx7 drag car.
