TCV5 HURRY THE HELL UP thread

any particular timeline we looking at for the judging to be complete :D?

Unfortunately for me, judging has started smack bang on exam week (starts Monday). Then I leave Thursday for the middle of the country (ie Parent's farm) Then I get back on Monday morning, to fly out to Canberra until Thursday night.

THEN it's full steam ahead!

I should have my light results up today or tomorrow. :scared: Turns out I got the flu this weekend, so I may not go see 4th of July fireworks or any parties or anything like that. :( But that leaves more time for testing and judging.

Based on this Leo. The very post he said he was ill.

;)

If it takes more time no worries, just eager.

Think about it this way and then understand what we have to go through as judges.

There's 48 rides. Now, if we tested 2 cars EVERY DAY, it would take 24 days to get the results of all four categories up. I'll be doing 3-4 per day to catch up so mine should only take about 12-16 days to do it all. Start that from mid-July and I should be finished with all four categories at the end of July/start of August.

So keep your knickers together ladies. :P We'll have to do each category as a seperate post anyway so you'll more than likely see us go through one category after another and post each division up as we go. 👍

i actually had a dream about it last night. dreamt that i won the middle weight competition with an rx7 then i realised i didn't enter an rx7 nor was it i that won:ouch::crazy:

Damn right your sorry. Slip up again and I'll knock your head in.

(lol, jks)

How do you make that assumption. There both factory models aren't they?

Another thing RJ....they did mention it was the 1997 FD in the specs sheet and have dubbed theirs a '97 Bathurst R. The Mazda Bathurst R is a 2001 model. :P

Realistically it should be a Motegi R.

And it's the 97 model in the game.

But the weight spec listed reflects the Bathurst R (it and a few 91-95 cars are the only ones to weigh 1260kg stock, and 1260kg becomes 1071).

The only 1997 RX-7 is the RS-R and weighs in at 1280kg stock/1088kg fully weight reduced.

Hence the name and listed weight making me think it was the Bathurst R in the first place.

My lightweight testing is done. I'm about 3/4ths thru the Middleweights...just trying to find Leo's MR2 G-limited with 6.2 miles on it.

I just gotta figure out how the scoring system should work for lightweights, and then I'll have it all posted up at some point.

EDIT: geez, quiet here today. Does anyone know if it's even possible to find a 6.2 mile G-Limited with the NTSC N. American games? I've been looking at all my games (all 8 of them) to see if it's there. I even tried starting a new game....still haven't found it. :indiff:

Looked at one of the used car guides Parnelli? Theres a PAL one and I'm sure a NTSC one.

Nice to see things moving around. Hadn't been connected for the past three days. My fault, actually. I thought I wouldn't return in a month or so. Glad to see I was wrong.

You sure that there's no low mile G-limited in nutscape edition? :nervous: if that is so, my better car will be severely down in terms of power and torque. :(

Dang. :( I've been sitting here toggling on and off Las Vegas for the last hour and a half. Yea, I haven't seen a 6.2 mile version of a G-Limited. :indiff:

Well, what should we do guys?

If it was my tune, I would withdraw it. I wouldn't want any problems to arise because of a "bugged tune". Leo should be given another chance. I don't know, let Mafs decide.

Well, the driveability won't be affected, but the laptime will.. I'm not too concerned, it pulls like total animal even at lower power levels. But, it's Maf's call.. if he says that i should withdraw it, I will. it's not like I'd be here to win, but to get feedback instead.. :P

It's not a "bugged tune" and all of the settings will be perfectly fine.

Oil change is not a physical part and therefore has absolutely no effect on gearing, nor does mileage.

Personally I see it as an oversight; entering a car that will not be at full spec on one version of the game is not a good plan but it happens.

Just buy wheels/wings constantly. Flicks the days by faster. 👍

Read, Roj, read. There is no NTSC 6.2 miler. :P

Also, Parnelli, where's the scoring #s? Are you going to put them with the cars or instead just count them up at the end?
