Thank you very much, ussr, for the video and all the info you are giving us.

For the vid noise, I suposse you play using a Logitech G wheel. Have you adviced any kind of lag in turn control?

And what about the online? had you try it? Do you know if it has any cooperative mode?

Yes I'm using G27 and i would say that steering in my opinion is a little bit better than is Shift. I don't have any problems with it. Since my first race i was able to fully control my car.

As for on line i did not try it yet. There is so many races, cars and race tracks to unlock. My hands are busy enough. I had that feel if i go on-line then my Campaign will suffer mass delay :) I want to finish it, unlock every car available and then race on line.

Also I've manage to fully understand Driving Aids. And there as follows.

Below from left, Crown icon with only one Stripe at the bottom is Novice Driving Model. Red (P) is hand brake in use. Then automatic gearbox. Next is ABS, and finally number 2 is Traction control set to strengh 2

Below from left, Crown icon with two stripes is Normal Driving Model. Every thing else is the same as on previous picture, except numer 1 which is Traction Control set to strenght 1

Below from left, Crown icon fully black is PRO Driving Model.

Thats it :)

This has just come up on my facebook page

Here are news for UK Followers. Rombax is working hard to get the game on shelves in the UK. They ask you to be patient. It might take a few more weeks.

So it is coming out in the UK we just have to wait

@ USSR: thank you for the AIDs explanations. Now everything is clear.

Have you played the game using "H" manual shifting with clutch? I suposse it is fully implemented, isn´t it?

Is this game out for the PC too?

I ordered the PC downloadable version, but have not been able to access the download link. I have been exchanging emails with Atari support about it, with no resolution. I might just ask for my $$$ back. The last thing I need is another racing game.

Read the thread; there is some info about this from other users.

Why did you buy it?...

I have been keeping track of this thread, but have not seen anything that helped me get the link I need to download the PC version of the game.

Your question is a good one, I guess it was an impulse purchase. :dopey:

I remember reading that until 23 the game is not available as a download, and also by other users who have already paid, until that day is not available for download.

Anyway, I am interested in the PS3 version, so just another user could tell you for sure.

Thanks. I think I saw that as well, but its not on Atari's or Digital River's site, which by the way, totally sucks. I am spoiled by Steam and Xbox Live for downloadable games.

I'm using paddles, not H manual. But there is an option to set clutch sensitivity so it would work with H shifter.

I've just beaten 512 Pro Championship, which is insanely Hard because car is behaving like a boat. And the race is so close. But never mind. Next after 512 Champ is Season 74 and I've just unlocked this combo. I just could not help myself from making one quick lap :sly:

Imola GP, Ayrton Senna style ;)

More i play and i like this game better, and better, and even better than both Shift's.

ussr, one question and I would appreciate a lot if you could answer it: How are the collisions? Are the sticky walls in, like in Shift 2? Could you do me a huge favor and try one online race to see if the online collision detection is as effed up as in Shift 2?

If it isnt, I might buy this soon. Your reviews kinda wet my appetite and I got this handy gamestop coupon, you know... :D

Well yes, collision are the same as in shift. But in Campaign you won't feel that. Because AI is not aggressive at all.

I did 10 races on line so far. And I've noticed that.

As for on line you race equal cars, races are very close in lap times you have to search your opportunity to overtake more often and because of that risk more collisions in slower class cars and classics. But when you drive fast aggressive cars like those old F1 or New F1 cars then winning an on line race is just a matter of your skill. First learn those cars and then have fun with them.

I think slower cars gives guys more excitement because races and cars on tracks are very close. It's nice to race withing 0:00.200 all the time :) From start to finish through 3 laps, 5 is just exhausting. You see your opponent very close near you and only thing you can really do is to drive as smooth as you can, not make any mistakes cause he's benefit immediately.

Thanks mate! Doesnt sound good, tho... so, just to be sure: Its still like in Shift 2 where in an online race you spin out totally uncontrollable in collisions, sometimes without actually touching the other car?

I am so disappointed this doesn't support the thrustmaster t500 rs. I upgraded to the thrustmaster from the g27 and now can't play this game. Has anyone tried it with the thrustmaster? I'm tempted to go buy the game on the ps3 and try it.

Hi I have a few questions for people who own this game:

1. Does this game support the Fanatec CSR wheel?

2. Does the game have lag input as in NFS Shift?

3. How does the handling compare to GT5 or Forza?

Thanks!

The more I read about the game being played by other posters here, the more I am interested ... how choppy is the frame rate when the race gets heated up with many cars on screen ? Is there any input lag due to this ? Does the floaty feeling is like the floaty feel on Forza 4 ? I've played the Ferrari 355 Challenge Sega Arcade with H shifter and clutch, I won all the race on it, it was great, if anyone have tried that one, how does this game compare ? I have PS3, so I might get the PS3 version.

If you happened to try to purchase a Fanatec wheel this weekend also then double whammy. Lol.

Better still, went to buy a T500RS on Ebay a few days ago, the guy lied about the weight and tried to charge me £100 for postage, I told him to take a hike to he reported me!

Some people.

Meanwhile, just sent off another email to Atari customer services, after they said someone would be in contact within 48 hours, 4 days ago, I think that gives them enough time to get in contact so I will now chase once again.

I fail to understand how a refund can be so much hassle.

No, I ordered the PC version, and when I could not download it, I sent several emails to Atari. I got this response this morning:

Thank you for contacting the Atari online store.

We apologize for the inconvenience that this may have caused you.

The product that you ordered is a pre-order and has not yet been
released to the public. Although we do not have an estimated release
date, as soon as it is available your order will be promptly fulfilled
and you will be notified via email.

If you purchased via credit card, rest assured your card will not be
charged until the product has been released.

The 512 Pro Champ was an exhausting length of time. It wasn't particularly hard in terms of AI difficulty, but that 512BB...

I just completed Season 79. The fact that it tosses you from the easy-to-drive 308 GTB right to a time attack with an 1979 F1 car on Spa 1980.. which I had no practice on. Completely just tossed me around mentally.

This is one hell of a good game though. I seriously don't regret my purchase.

But the 288 GTO Champ awaits completion before I have to go to work. :sly:

1. First patch will include Thrustmaster T500 RS full support. Actually i have to cross that to make final confirmation.

1. Sometimes can be choppy but only for a moment when you approach corner and around you there's a lot of cars. Also sometimes at the beginning of a race when race starts. But you can avoid that using boost launch by perfecting perfect start, so you overtake immediately few cars at the start.

2. I can't feel any input lat at all, but this just me. And it could be there.

3. Can't answer that, didn't play Forza, hate all Xbox fans  ;)

Well tell me about it :) i am right there, because i can't win Road America race with SP 333 :banghead: :irked:  so I've decided to do some races in Silver Era

And for those who don't have the game yet, another movie from Spa GP (1980) for some reason sound is only when you switch to 720p so please enjoy

Thanks for the answers USSR, I will get it once there is a price drop on PSN, who knows it will be in the next sale :D
I've bought Superstars V8 when it was on sale, it was not that bad - brings back Toca nostalgia, but I hope this Ferrari title is way better:)
