yeah. Just got back from EB games. They gave me $28.00 in-store credit. so I bought red dead redemption...lol
Gosh I hate eb games they are such rape when you trade in your games. I'll keep this game in spite and give it to someone who really enjoys racing games and maybe they will like it. Or maybe they will shoot me, haha.

Sell it to someone younger...who doesn't know much about racing.

If you bought this game for racing it's you own fault for not liking it.

Also, Ferrari dealer is on the south eastern part of the map on the same road as the guy you have to take pics for. No FXX though.

Actually technically i'd blame my girlfriend I bought it because of the dlc. Game-stop only hold their reserves for two days. I figured i'd wait on the reviews and then decide if I wanted to keep it given I had a receipt. My girlfriend was a prick and opened it, even when I was telling her not to.
Anyways the game is a insult to the first one you should try it out if you haven't already its great.

1) I feel bad for your girlfriend, I would never talk about mine that way no matter where it happened to be. Especially over a video game.

2) I played the crap out of the first one, is TDU2 as good? Thus far it's not, still a great game though. Than again I'm mostly just driving around aimlessly.

I have to wonder how long people that have decided they hate the game have actually played it. Honestly I was put off by the Jersey Shore type crap but once you get to the actual game itself it's a blast.

consider yourself lucky, i got 14 dollars back for it, plus 17 for Fist Of The Northstar from Gamestop.

so i bought hot pursuit and the darkness...

that 14 dollar trade in value after day 1 should be a good indication on how the game is, IMO...

You win I shouldn't of talked about my girlfriend that way. But its just annoying that I was planning on waiting on the reviews. And she just decided to open it while running away from me laughing saying if your not gonna play it I will!

And obviously I was right to wait on the reviews... Seeing as I had 30 days to tell this game was a turd.

yes god forbid we buy a game called TEST DRIVE UNLIMITED for the racing aspect, do you have anything better to do then complain about people who have opinions that differ from yours?

I mean seriously guy, lay off with the Castro act...

Man the first one was actually awesome until my 360 red ringed on me.
This one just looks like a ps2 game honestly...
I know the team behind this had to have played the first one and known what they had done when they shipped the game out.

You're doing the exact same thing. God forbid someone actually like it and not say anyone who likes it is easily pleased and that you would rather shove crap up your 🤬 than play the game.

It's as much of a racing game as Fallout is a shooting game and Hooters is for hot wings.

Why are you even in this section?

you took one sentence and are blowing it way out of context. You are acting like an Elitist. Get over yourself, who are you to say how I should voice my opinion? I wasn't directing it towards anyone, unlike you, who have harped on at least two people.

Why am I here? because it a freaking community forum. And people have asked for opinions.
Are you working for Eden? You certainly seem like if you had the power you'd delete every negative post in regards to this game.

Oh and just for the record, you are proving my point, you are condoning the sell of a incomplete game and saying your satisfied with it.

If the shoe fits.

Oh god. What is this, the GT5 section?

Keep the mindless banter there, some of us actually prefer that good threads aren't locked because some are just eager to get into pissing contests.

I just wanted to let everyone know who was going to rush out and buy it because part 1 rocked... This game is well... Crap...

edit.
p.s I'll leave it at that, enjoy your game.

Have you bought any game released in the last 5 years that hasn't needed a patch? How about DLC? I see you bought Hot Pursuit, has that game had any patches? GT5, did you buy that?

This game has flaws, physics don't vary much with conditions, no mechanical damage, crappy AI..etc... Every game has issues.

I also think you need to look up what an elitist is, I haven't told anyone how to play the game.

Also, all I've seen you do when you respond to people is say that the game sucks, you've barely posted anything worthwhile as to why it sucks.

I'm done with this thread and probably this section, it's as bad as the GT5 section.

So please for all you are trying to warn.

WHY DOES IT SUCK?!!!!!!!

p.s. everyone on the gt5 forums has actually been really nice.

Haha when i've already said I was done... Look at your list I think you already got it right bud.

p.s The people on the GT5 forums are actually nice and helpful.

I'm not here to argue with you, but your incessant need to come down on anyone with a different opinion from you is quite annoying.

I know what an Elitist is, and you are acting like one(trying to tell people how to think).

And just for the record I hate the fact that games need to be constantly patched, the current generation of games as a whole have issues, and it's annoying. There is absolutely no reason for this many games to be coming out incomplete only to be patched days, weeks or even months later. Hell sometimes not at all. It's wrong and if it was any other type of merchandise it would be considered false advertisement or highway robbery.

Let people have different opinions with out you having to put the cape on and fly to a shoddy games defense...

Why does the game suck?
Because I was under the impression that I was buying a racing game. All the videos I've seen have shown nothing but racing, in fact most the advertising has been for what? The Racing, so when I popped this in to my PS3 and found out that it was basically The Sims with some type of driving aspect tacked on, you are damn right i was upset.

The driving feels like it was an after thought.

The Handling is mediocre, Crusin USA had better physics.

The inclusion of a driving line that doesn't even help.

The depth Perception is beyond atrocious makes precise braking almost impossible.

I'm sorry but Midnight Club LA did it better, and that's not saying much(I feel that Dub Edition was the best of the bunch).

It's almost as if you are trying to make excuses for the game, look at the cover and tell me again what kind of game this is.

This game does not like 900 degrees on the DFP. Initially it seemed totally unplayable. On PC using logitech profiler.....range 40% or 360 degrees...sensitivity (profiler) set all the way up. Then adjusted sensitivity in game and it was much much better.

Took hours but at least I can drive now. The FFB is really bad but not sure if it;s worse than the original.

My GTX270 can barely handle this game at 1080p. So performance is poor.

But the rest of the game looks polished.

Generally the steering is worse than Shift 1 but this may be playable. I'll keep trying.

Whoa bud, take the cape off. No need to be a hero in these forums.

So I had some money in my own account and decided to buy a car from the psn. I just booted up the game but can't find it anywhere. Any ideas?

You're not going to.

All DLC cars whether they be pre-order or otherwise still have to be brought from their respective dealership locations; you won't find them in your garage.

It's to "maintain the balance" something I personally find stupid. Why waste the time with the pre-order codes when you still have to search for and buy the damned thing?

Thats 2 pages and 600 seconds of my life I'll never get back......cheers guys!

I can never see the point of wanting to discuss how much you hate a game, bit like discussing why you hate braking your nose. As for using the old "opressor of free opinions" line, come on a little hipercritical.....although the cape of bad game defence is a nice one LOL

The game is a social sandbox for petrol heads. It's not a structured racing game, It's whatever you want it to be.....well, within limits.....If you want to race you can practicaly make any course you want and race any car you want, on or off road. If you want to just cruise then thats there too, huge maps and an extensive car editor to boot so you can have an individual car to show of in,,,,,,,,Kudos to the first person to make a police car in the sticker section.

Hmmm So does anyone think we should get this game early or wait till it gets cheaper.Yes Physics and wheel Support is a huge factor for me.

Tried it, dont like it! Bought the Lotus and set it to set to sport,(some controls on) its a dog! The game itself is like the Sims on wheels- you have a wardrobe and furniture to choose. Great if you work at ikea! ;)

A sandbox for petrolheads?

I'd argue that the vast number of people complaining about the handling are petrolheads.

If you didn't like TDU or have never played TDU then wait, if your expecting a racing game to equal GT5 or Shift then don't buy it. If your in any way shape or form unsure what TDU is about then wait.........The game is very individual in it's aims, it's not trying to be a fantastic racer, it's trying to be a social racer! A place where you meet other petrol heads, admire cars and then go cruising or racing. You'll find clubs there where groups of friends meet up, they may go do some races or they may go exploring new areas or cruise favourite areas, challenging other clubs or individuals to inpromptude races along the way.
I wouldn't say it's a sims with cars......more cars with sims. Think PSN Home with cars....lots of cars LOL It's quite hard to explain but over the next week or so you should see how the game evolves as the comunity gets there feet under the table, at that point if your unsure now you'll know then if TDU2 is something you want to try.

On it's own and as an offline single player experience TDU is naff, if your not the social type then you'll miss the whole point. Get together with a few friends and sudenly the whole thing makes sense.......Imagine playing COD where there's just you in the match.....now add 7 team mates and 8 enemy....This is how TDU is desighned to be played and why it's so good!

Great Post I really want an online car game.
Really strange though how Some guys here think,People say GT5 is horrible and now this game People say don't expect it to be GT5 :odd:

I can't believe anyone can explain away a supposedly poor handling model with FWD cars twitchy enough to swap ends and cars with no suspension travel to speak of as a secondary issue, because it's not trying to be a car game per se. Sure you enjoy it, but a vast number of car fans don't, so it's obvious to see that to the majority it's flawed and they complain because the type of game lives or dies by the way the cars drive, regardless of the additional content.

This game never claims to be a sim or even realistic. I think people need to stop thinking of it in the same way you do with GT, Forza or Shift. It's supposed to be a fun racing game, not a serious one. I started it with the wrong mind set but once I changed my tune on the game I began to love it. I played for 2 hours last night, something I have done in a while!

I ended up with my third car, an Alfa Berrera! Probably work on getting a forth car tonight, it'll need to be an A6 level so I'll probably get a Camaro.
