Whoa 2.5 times bigger!! Dang that doesnt even seem possible!! So far all great news. Well not sure about the "read the map" mode.

Awesome, damage and time cycles. I am just wondering, when is fall? I live in Australia and we dont use those terms.

Can't wait for it. Not sure if i'll like Ibiza as much as Oahu, but we'll see... tbh I'm even more looking foward to this than GT5 at the moment.

Can't wait, hopefully I can have a wheel by then.

Did the first one support wheels?

After a patch, sure did. 👍

Or was it right off the shelf? I don't remember...in any case - yes.

Thanks Terronium-12, I will have tonnes of time to get a job and save by then :D.

GT5 will be another game to be playing as well, what a brilliant year this is shaping up to be, way better than last year.

Sweet, I'm probably going to buy a G27 for a birthday present to myself.:P

I'm gonna have to ask you to buy me one first. See, my G25 went "kaputz" and well...I need a new wheel.

I'll trade you for $5?

I just don't understand how can Ibiza be 2,5 times bigger than Oahu ... I mean, with more detail it can have 2,5 times more road kms, but according to what I searched, Ibiza as a Island is about HALF the size of Oahu ...

I'll send you the box for $5.

Edit: How accurate was Oahu in TDU? They could just make the island bigger and just make it look like Ibiza.
Eden mapped out nearly all the major roads & highways, but a lot of small details were actually let out.

I really don't get it how map is gonna be 2,5 times bigger than in first part.

But I'm excited though.

Which wasn't really detrimental at all. This game will be awesome if they can give it the level of polish that TDU lacked. Smooth out the roads, add more detail to buildings/objects/trees/grass and so forth, as well as paying more attention to car's gearing. It seemed like all of the cars that were electronically limited to 155mph in real life were programmed to just run out of revs in sixth at 155. Even after they were tuned.

Totally true. I remember when I used to have a 360, I was playing TDU and sometimes the map wouldn't load and that make me fall under the road. I wasn't going fast too but apart of that it's was an awesome driving game just crusin' around in a car was enough to please me.

I can't wait to know the release date.

Nice! i didn't play the first one, my friend had it on the 360 and loved it. I will be getting it on my ps3 so i can use my Logitech G25. I didn't read through the thread, but how are the physics/handling engine in these games? Are they any simulation type feel or more arcadey? I don't mind an arcadey driving game as long as it's fun. Is the clutch and h-pattern shifter going to be supported? If so i will definitely pick this up. :)👍

It's been awhile since I've played the first one, but it felt like a sim/arcade blend with a little more sim. As far as the shifter, the first one supposedly did so the new should as well.👍

New information! Joypad's preview of the game.

Here you go, main points of interest at the bottom translated. The bits in italics were written by me when im not 100% sure what the (rough) translation meant.

Environment
- Cycle confirmed Day / night: a complete cycle would last 2 h 30. For online, all players will have the same cycle.
- Confirmed dynamic weather forecast: Storms mentioned in article.
- Roads reshaped to adapt to the game. Not sure if this means the roads are smoother or if it just means like the last game the framework of the island is as it is in real life but all the roads are made up by the developers.
- There will be 4 manners of earning points of experience: competition, social (number of friends, races between players), discovery (found all secrets, roads, of the island), collection (buy more vehicles, houses,...)

Behaviour / vehicles
- Damage
- Turn signals.
- Between 20 and 30 minutes to go from one side of the island to the other (the most direct way) and 40 minutes to go around it.
- Vehicles will be able to be customised similar to Forza 3, vehicles will be able to be shown or sold. Also have the possibility of vinyls/decals (I think)
- Vehicle physics: better compromise between arcade and realism.

Other
- Teleport to any road previously driven on as in the first game.
- DLC is planned. Available via an auction house (which would not be included in the game when first released) DLC may include car racing, following expectations of the community. The last bit is what exactly what the translator said, not sure on what it meant by may include car racing.

Multiplayer
Generality
- Unique server for all players.
- The players will be able to create instances, that will avoid being disconnected from the group when you go in a store.
- All players in the same server can go into a dealership/store together.
- Races between players: up to 8 persons. Players will no longer control the end point but the computer thanks to a specific algorithm which will avoid repetition.

Clubs
- They will have more importance.
- Competitions: intra - or extra-club (against another club)
- Certain exclusive vehicles will be reserved for the club, one copy by club, drivable by only single person at a time: co-op mode makes sense here.
Newest cars seen are the McLaren MP4-12C & a newer Audi TT-S. The MP4 is apparently also ones of the exclusive club cars as well.

So is this island bigger than oahu ? Because it says that it takes 40 minutes to go around Ibiza and in TDU1 it take atleast an hour.

Turn Signals? Damage? Online? EPIC EPIC EPIC, that is the perfect game right there. The one thing I need now is a release month or even better, a date.
