First up.... Setting the bar!

T1: 0.'22.114
T2: 0.'40.995.

I could tighten it up alittle bit, other than that, not to bad! Now it's coming together! My Cobra is starting to get very fast, seen better spilts also!

T1 - 22.487
T2 - 41.729

Could shave some time off both splits.

I find the R1 tires are very frustrating.

T1: 0'21.800
T2: 0'39.990

I've got a little problem with saving the time as a replay. First of all, I've done like 14 laps on Grand Valley East Course Reverse and when I saved the replay, it showed all laptimes calculated together. So, now my question is if we were allowed to photograph the screen after we've quit driving the car at the course (It would look like this)?

One of the downsides of saving the entire replay is that it doesn't show the power and tyres of your car unless you use the entire video as a proof if asked.

Does it show when saving the ghost replay only? Or overall not in the replay theatre?

85 miles resulted in splits of 21.335 - 39.182. The car has much more to give, but at this very difficult track, I'm unable to realize its potential. 👎 The first corner complex, for instance, can be done about two tenths faster, but I was able to do that only once, and on an otherwise slow lap. I still can't get the sequence of turns between the tunnel and the hill quite right, and I frequently misjudge the turn-in for the following corner. And I still can't take the last corner properly on a fast lap. About the only thing on this lap that was as good as it will get was the turn into the tunnel, which I usually get wrong, but I hit the right braking point this time.

I don't find the R1 tires frustrating; the track, more than anything, is the cause of what you all are feeling, IMO. In several corners, being an inch off line or releasing the brakes an instant too soon completely ruins your lap.

Edit: I probably should specify that I'm using Jetboy.'s Corvette.

After about 20 laps or so...

T1: 21.524 (I've done .43x)
T2: 39.730 (.55x)

I'm losing heaps of time in the middle, because the car tends to spin out once I go full throttle :(

If it's not a silly question mcsqueegy, what are you driving and from which garage? I haven't seen any cars declared by GME yet.

Jetboy., make sure to use second gear after T1 (that is, if you're using the Corvette and not the FPV). To me, it seems like a supercharger should give more power low in the rev range than the Corvette has, but the fact that the power only appears at high RPM means that you actually have to use gears that have wheelspin, which is relatively unusual in GT4.

I forgot to ask whether the following are part of the track: concrete (both the "sidewalks" in the tunnel and the concrete beyond rumble strips), cones, and tarmac behind white lines (that is, where the cones are). I didn't use them, but the extra room would allow for faster laps, so it's good to clarify.

It's just like Deep forrest, you can "thread the needle" by using the extremes of the the rumble strips but that's it. Two wheels on track at all times. ;) As far as the two cars are concerned, the F6 is getting reliably faster T1's but loses a good bit in the center section. I've always loved the brakes and stability in the car, but the Vette is proving the more nimble. I've tried both gears post-tunnel and also found higher RPMs working the better. Once I dedicate a true session towards the week I'll more than likely see late 39's.

Cheers,
Corey

Not a silly question 👍 I'm driving for GME in a Spirra, but mafia_boy hasn't had a chance to release the cars yet due to sunburn :(

So, decided to devote a chunk of time towards the session, and was pleasantly suprised after nailing the lines how easy it was to replicate the performance. Over a period of 14 laps, I reset the previous record 9 times. This is what I saw along the way.

T1: 21.521
T2: 39.906

T1: 21.752
T2: 39.758

Current Record.
T1: 21.335
T2: 39.541

Still some out there, but mostly it's eliminating what wheelspin there is and smoothing trail-braking. If I get anymore out of the lap, I'd prophesize it to be two tenths max.

Cheers,
Corey

Both cars handle great.

22.086-40.488 MCG

Still room for improvement.

Hope that I'm not the only one with a laptime under 1 minute. ;)
Watch that line you're dancing Nenad, that's revealing towards your final time. And I'm also quite sure under a minute is nothing special for five of us here.

Don't have my notes handy but I ripped off a 39.4 T2 and the lap was the prophesized .2 faster. Pity there was a .2 sacrifice for T1. I'll prolly spend the day whittling it down. Or trying to.

Cheers,
Corey

Large amount of improvement... not much left but I'll keep trying...

T1: 21.379
T2: 39.320

I took the first two corners in one massive drift, and it worked out for once

I guess I've got some catching up to do. I'm due to go snowboarding 👍 on Friday night for the whole weekend which means I'll have to submit my lap before I go.
Problem is I've not even had time to build the car yet, nevermind run any laps! :scared:

Which cars are everybody using by the way?

For GME, it's mcsqueegy in the Spirra, and myself in the RX7 Spirit R. :)

Early splits were promising, until I saw macca's times. I have to go a bit more psycho it seems and get into the drifting spirit of the car. :mischievous:
