Can somebody please give me the measurement from the flat part of the base ( where it would mount ) to the top of the shift knob?

I have one on order and I'd like to mock up a mount for it

approximately 175 to 176mm. This decreases as the rubber pad squishes...

Just don't lose the adapter while you're waiting for it to show up. :dopey:

Ordered 2 on Sunday, received both today, great customer service!

Now I just have to wait for the shifters coming from Amazon UK.

They are in safekeeping! :sly:

UPDATE:
Finally got take a close look after work.

Very impressed, nicely finished with engraved port labels.

Same here, but I have to reconfigure the 8020 beast mount I made for an X-CPO Fanatec shift adapter. Can be seen here.

Thanks for that mrbasher!

...So could someone please give me the measurement from the bottom surface of the flat part of the base (where it hard mounts) to the bottom where USB cable exits.

Quick one, when people here use the shifter as a handbrake do you use the Sequential plate on or with the 6 speed plate but longways ...?

Thanks...

I have a custom made hand brake plate with inner spring guide running a 100lb spring. Very very realistic.

irt makes them on here.

You running the GTEYE spring or did itrdc5r supply one as a pack?

thanks mate...

I just sold him the plate modded with the guides. Didn't want to part with my G27 spring then. Mayaman, how much stiffer would you say the spring you are using now is compared to a G27 brake spring? Is it similar size?

For future reference:

For anyone that wants to have a custom knob made for their TH8 while keeping the stock shaft the size is as follows:

M9 x 1.25

That's an oddball size and you likely won't find anything offshelf to fit

Thanks, useful info to know. :)

So I've got a like-new TH8RS ($99 USD) en route. Can't wait. If it's all it's cracked up to be, I may contacting Mr. Basher.

You'll love the TH8RS, great shifter, I think you'll be contacting Mr. Basher.

I've been keeping an eye on his site, I've got some money I'd love to give him once he gets some inventory! :)

I look forward to helping you guys out. :D

These will be available either Monday or Tuesday. (Depends on how fast the mail gets here) :D That being said, based upon the interested I have received, these aren't going to last long. Because of that I will be ordering more parts in the near future in order to keep up with demand. Going forward, wait time should be much shorter than it was this time. (a little over 1 week this time)

OH... as for the shifter rod... I found the correct rod over at McMaster-Carr and posted it somewhere on these forums as some point not long ago. I'll have to see if I can find it again. I was going to mod my shifter but never got around to it. In a way that long throw appeals to me when I drive really old cars. :)

Good news, i check daily so hopefully I'll get in on this batch.

You can use the M6 rod listed at the McMaster-Carr site (thanks basher) http://www.mcmaster.com/#catalog/118/3175/=jtotxm . It comes in 3 ft lengths and you can cut what you need.

Or you can order a rod from Amazon also: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003MW0G7A/?tag=gtplanet-20

I ordered both and felt it was easier to just use the smaller shaft from Amazon.

I have a piece left from Amazon and of course a couple feet from the Mcmaster site so if anyone wants to try shortening their shaft with those pm me.

The stick on my shifter is so loose it isn't even funny. There is ZERO resistance when shifting! Are there any tricks or simple modifications I can do to help give the stick some resistance while shifting?

Great deal, oh so tempted!!

To those who have this, how is it fixed to a WSP? Is the sequential shifter better than the paddles??

Just had to buy one at that price.....
Have held off and off on news of the CSS but likely it won't surface till next year now?

There is a screw in the metal base that can be tightened. Just a quarter turn, careful not to over tighten it
