Anyway, here is what else there was.

So here is another thought, and I am halfway serious. But just hear me out.
I have been thinking that I should sell my bike and then get an even faster one.
That way it will make the performance difference if I went and got an FB. Any FB lovers here? Thoughts? (yes I know its an odd way to think and that the bike I have is far faster than I need but whatever:lol: )

I'm not a fan of the FB. And your plan makes no sense lol. By the time you muck around selling your bike and spending all that you get for it, plus more on a faster model, then try and offload your broken rx7, and then find a tidy FB (impossible?), you could put a large smile in your face, by means of driving around a ported rotary and having everyone stop and look with a 'wtf' face on

I like FB's more than FC's. They're noticeably lighter and have more classical styling. Less weight means that smaller powergains will be easier to notice, and there's plenty of FB's floating around in Craigslist, and most of them in beautiful condition. And since it also can accept 13B into its engine bay, it has basically same aftermarket as FC.

Well really the only "issue" with the FB RX-7 is that it has no aftermarket of its own (save for some pretty sexy widebody kits)... So it turns into "What are we going to fab into the FB from an FC today, Pinky?".

The answer? Everything. And then you've got something cooler in every way than an FC.

Yeah, you can put the TII seats in the FB's I know for sure and If I go through with it I think I could live with myself.

^right?:)
Anyhow, I dunno what one I should pursue, I think this would be the best choice as long as it has 4 wheel disc brakes, however its like a billion miles(6 hours) away.

Then there is this which has a few things done to it.
http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/csw/cto/2952185601.html
And then finally, at the club there is
passanger.jpg

1981 Mazda RX-7 in excellent condition for restoration. 12A Rotary Engine with minor upgrades (Electric fan, Racing Beat intake manifold, Holley Carb tuned by Racing Beat *needs a Fuel Pressure Regulator to work at full capacity*, Cat Delete, and possible other upgrades I dont know about, I never took the motor apart to see if it had been ported. I suspect some tranny mods as well but cannot prove it.) orgiginal wheels, belly was Zeibarted so the minor rust you see in the pictures is all the rust there is. No rust holes, no major damage, missing door panels, head liner and stereo. The worst problem this car has is the ignition switch went bad. It is replaceable but I just rigged a push button and kill switch. Other than that this car can be a daily driver, the only reason I'm selling it is because I lost my liscense and wont have it back till February Car is in Ramsey currently but I am planning on bringing it down to St. Paul shortly. Tabs are expired but you could get them updated and drive this thing home.

Had to copy that from the 7 club and he wants $1000 for it.

Either the first one or that last one. The second one requires a paintjob, although, you haven't been bothered by such little details before.. :P

So I was browsing CL. I looked up RX7s. WHY DID I STUMBLE ACROSS YOURS?

But really, why are you selling it? For FB money?

Yup FB money.
The white one was garbage, unfortunately. It did have a rebuilt motor, but there was some oil leaking and then the interior was just bad as far as stuff working. But again, maybe if I don't find anything, I will just go with the rebuild route.
In other news:

SO, again, I have enough money to fix the rx7, Turblown engineering figures about $4500? They do this:CnC grinding of the rotor housings, apex seal replacement with units that are harder to break( Goopy Brand), Street Porting, hand clearanced side-seals, FD3S OPR and shimmed front regulator for FC, along with a thermo pullet, OEM softseal/spring replacement, we also move to FD springs( corner/sideseals). The engine is blue printed, and ultrasonic cleaned. We check all clearances etc. We also do a coolant seal and engine compression test before its installed. If you're irons are out of spec there will be another $600 charge to resurfaced all 4 faces, if the engine bearings are worn out we will have to coat them( $150 charge), if severely damaged they will need to be replaced at extra cost.
Or I can get some motors with cars attached to them:

Any thoughts now?

OK for the Rx7 news, I'm just having mine rebuilt then. It should be mad. Street porting is included so I do believe another exhaust video will be mandatory.

But in the meantime here is some things about the R1. Like the spark plug change.

Also my gf thought I should get a dragon and named it Myrtle, which I then said thats my bikes name.

👍

Good to hear. Is it going to be strengthened in any way to be able to handle any future performance upgrades?

Seems that way...

No doweling or oversized bolts? I'm sure it will be fine for the power you want to make though. So when is it going in?!

And here is the windscreen that I got from china for $30 that is actually really thick and hasn't cracked at 120+ yet.

And Turblown is who I am paying to fix my turbo and engine. I dont feel like saying just how much the actual bill he gave me was but it sure as hell better look fantastic.

Here is what he has done so far:

More when he sends them to me. :)

The R1 looks great! Also much better with the dark windscreen 👍 A monoseat does wonders too! My buddy got one for only 30USD from eBay..

But what are the orange reflectors still doing on your brakes? :D

Goodluck with the repairs on your engine, any idea when you hope to get her driving?

Oh for intercourse's sake...someone on the R1 club said I should get rid of the reflectors too. Fine, Should I get rid of my stickers on the side too? As far as the monoseat maybe I will when im not expecting lady hamster to be around.

And im not doing MY engine, I already figured out that I was braindead when undoing it. So im having Turblown engineering fix it nice and fancy, read older posts and you will see that. ;) I will stick to other things like installing bolt on stuff.

And then you didnt even respond carlos...:(

Anyway, we picked up this EX500 for $850!:)

It runs good and nothing out of the ordinary.👍
Basically its "thatwomans" bike. A 750GSX or an R1 aren't the best things to start out on.

In other Subaru news...
It had a "showdown"
20120708_150818.jpg

Its pipe extended(for like 3 days)

And it got an Mitsubishi "mouth"(courtesy of Plastidip)

Onto the 13bT rebuild, he did the ports and cleaned the housings as well as coated the main bearings:

20120812_155619.jpg

Now then, what do do about the plate...Oh I know get a custom one.
So I have thought of a few, please give feedback. It can only be 4 letters or numbers and is vertical....
We have thought of "RWAT"/"RWUT"/"RRR1"/"YAR1" (like a pirate)I'm leaning towards one of them, not the cliche ones like "2SLW" or "2FST" So any others or do yall like what we thought of?

I'd be able to enjoy your pictures more if the GTP app would ever work with images.

Weird try re downloading it, images work great for me. Also what do you think about the custom plate ideas?
