Does anyone come and look at my thread but me?
Meh, I think I will just keep posting, its fun to see it come along. :)

Ahhh, those lights...
IMG_20130225_151439_zps115b9e4f.jpg

Anyway I peeled off all the peeling trim and plan to sand a little bit then cover with some good Ol'Plastidip.(plan to see that on my bike as well)
IMG_20130225_164526_zps26de7912.jpg

Then I installed a fancy N/A instrument cluster, Im just hoping my speedo cable still works.:scared:
IMG_20130225_144059_zps6f31ab5c.jpg

Finally I fixed that. I just need to get some vents now.

I always look at it man, just don't always post. I feel the same about mine at the moment I think I have like 3 posts in a row, but I'm posting boring stuff at the moment so it's understandable :P

Anyway those tail lights are such a huge improvement, I really couldn't stand the white framing around the old ones.

Thanks yall. :D Yeah I have been wanting to change the tails for so long, it just took awhile to find some with the center plate holder.

Course it seems like there is still a bunch to do...
New ECU... Again
Wideband sensor install
oil change
Fuel Pressure regulator
Well to get it running correctly...

The I still need to get those shocks and struts in.

Yup, thats what I will be using.
Though sorry, I have always wanted S5 tails, but the car was a poser for models since the guy tried to make it a tenth. Now its like a S4.2

Also who here thinks that my rims need to be plastidipped?

:indiff: What has life brought me.
I want the snow to go away. But this will do for a little while.
1997 Saturn SL2.

Oh yeah fury right there. Well at least its a manual so its not all that bad... But man, does it suck in snow.

I have tried to change my suspension out but the sleeve did not want to come off with the actual shock, more on that story next week likely. (since it needs a slicing persuasion)
2013-04-07172605_zps1d8fad94.jpg

But with the Rx7 update I will be taking it to Turblown on the 22nd and then I actually need to get my ECU out and back before then too, but I get paid on the 12th.

Anyways I put some fancy oil in the R1...
2013-04-07132536_zpsb36eb058.jpg

And the Plastidip begins..First the bike then some bits on the 7 FINALLY the Wheels:lol:

The keen eyed may see I have spiky bar-ends and frame sliders, it may have fallen over when taking it out of the garage.

Course there may be another 3-6 inches of snow here, DAMN YOU MINNESNOWTA!:grumpy:

Did it!
I had the best weather too!

20130415_201018_zpse7c81bd5.jpg

but I took care of it.
20130415_210555_zps317fcc94.jpg

And just so everyone can see, I do actually work on my car.
20130415_194547_zpsc24844f8.jpg

Yeah, but why did the factory do the other side the "correct" way?

Anywho, it got taken care of and my ECU is on its way back!:D

Oh, and thanks!:)

Same on my car. I think all my lower strut bolts face the same way when you look at each side of the car. No issues on the front as the brakes are larger which spaces the caliper away from the bolts.

Huh, well it was cruel and unusual.

In another bit of news I am installing a mechanical oil pressure gauge. The stock one was doing some pretty funny things so, this way there is no question on it.

Get a pod I hate when I see gauges in that area your car os way to beautiful fot that.
Ah, yes, here is the problem I ran into with that, the gauge I got was a 60mm gauge not a standard one. So It wasn't my first choice no....and its chrome..:yuck:
Post some pictures of the outside of the car, I wanna see how she sits on these new shocks!

 Almost no different at all. However, while I was shaking it to re mix the premix it was really solid. :dopey:

So I bump up the boost and man does the 7 feel quick now. :D
BUT I overwhelmed the failing Fuel Pressure regulator and now I definetly need a new one since i boosted and then it was super lean and all of a sudden super rich, and It wont idle.:yuck: No I didnt blow the engine up because it runs just fine above 2k and I am well awhare of :

You know what I just realized...

That Target lot that the RX is in, a few posts above, is the same parking lot where I became the legal owner of a 1989 240SX. Weird.

What are you gonna do to the new Subie?

Really? The home depot of Rochester?

I am planning on dippin the gold trim and the wheels. And fix the handbrake....and the exhaust leak....and maybe get a new hood to chalkboard paint on. :D

Yep, same place! What color do you want to dip the wheels? Do a chalkboard hood!

Black, its name is Dinkus and then its going to be aka the "outblack" . But yeah im hoping to find a secondary hood and do chalkboard. :D

The black painted wheels and wipers on the RX-7 turned out great. I am about to do the EXACT same thing on my new blue Subaru WRX. I wasnt sure if I wanted to leave them flat black or go with gloss. They look great with gloss. So its nice to get an idea of what it will look like after seeing this thread. What exact paint did you use? Not sure if it is semi gloss, gloss, or has some metallic in it. Did you primer first?

I also noticed you picked up a Saturn SL2 recently. Those really are great cars. We had a 96 and 2000. Just recently sold the 2000. Your Subaru will be much more fun in the winter than the Saturn. :sly:

Its also awesome your dad got the new 2014 Mustang. I like the sequential tail lights in those cars. If I lived in a warmer climate that's probably the car I would be driving. Or a vette like yours, or a 02 ram air trans am.
