I'll take the plymouth 'cuda..I hope I'll have time to do this.
Nice pick! Not a popular choice, for sure... Have fun reading those foot-high letters on my tail.CasioI'm in!
I've just sent the details of my ride this season.
"Flem", is my Olive Green coloured SuperBee. All you folks will be seeing her on your rear bumper real soon....

Racing Flywheel
Sports Clutch
Wash and oil.
I think that's it. And yes, the car is red.![]()
I think Koly pretty much decided to eliminate the mid-season cash influx. I just thought I'd mention that in case you wanted to change your mod list to spend all / more of your money.jump_aceHere's my stats and I still have $500 leftover for when we get more $$$!!! WOOT!!
KolyanaPurely an option.
I'll be interested to see what times you can run with yours. I'm probably horrible compared to most people here, but I'm using the '69 SS as well.Hey Koly, thanks for sending me a PM about this. You can definitely count me in. I haven't had time to do any testing, but I am going to choose the '69 Camaro SS (cause my uncle has one). If you need any other info let me know, I'm off to get some WRS running in!!!
RedWolfRacerI gave all of 'em trannys and the upgrades I would've raced with otherwise. I assumed that each would be my final car if it were the best and drove each car to it's best. As soon as I touched the Charger, though, I fell in love with it. lol I will admit the 'vettes handle really smoothly and if you have any doubts about your throttle control, I'd say the vettes are really easy to drive and still capable of some very quick times to boot.
Note: all tests were without any driver's aids.
The Super Bird and Charger are both heavy cars and handle similarly, but when I ran tests in arcade mode with -10% weight and +20% HP, the Super Bird seemed to retain it's sluggish handling whereas the Charger's all but disappeared.
Both Camaro's handled moderately. They seemed to be inclined to spin their tires though it didn't feel like it was because of their power so much as their handling characteristics. I didn't like them much myself, but they seem like capable cars if tuned properly (which I hadn't the chance to do).
I didn't run the Cougar, the Super Bee, or the Mustang GT350. The Chevelle was like driving a brick. The Cuda seemed underpowered in Arcade mode but it feels like it's dying to show it's potential with the right tuning parts.
EbiggsI'm considering joining. Looks like I need to do some testing tonight. I was going to pick the Chevelle but after this I've changed my mind. I'd like to avoid the popular choices but still be competitive. I'll let you guys know what I find.
RedWolfRacerI don't mean to deter drivers. If that was your initial choice, feel free to try it out a bit but I'd be trying some of the other cars. If the Chevelle was NOT your initial choice, I'd have not bothered with this information.
RedWolfRacerTest results for those who would like to see:
Deep Forest (normal)
All cars are tuned using the monetary limits. I don't have the actual parts used listed, but I do have times.
Chevy Corvette Stingray 350 etc.... '69 1'27.908
Chevy Corvette Coupe (C2) '63 1'30.102
Dodge Charger 440 R/T '70 1'26.647
Those are the only cars tested so far. I used the cuda and found it too slow for my liking along with the Chevelle.I don't think I'll be doing much more testing, but who knows?
