Turnaround race?

I had a fantastic time at Monaco. :lol:

I couldn't qualify as I had no instrument display until I pitted again.
Had a great time racing against the guy called BMW who I think had damage but still stayed ahead of me for 6-8 laps. I suddenly found myself in 5th or 6th and that's the highest I've ever finished online at Monaco. :cool:

Deep forest was complete opposite. I hit the wall ever lap during practice :banghead: but somehow got one decent lap during quali. Shame couldn't see @IfAndOr :odd:and that lots of guys got DC'd and then you got stuck in the pits. I hit the wall a few more times :banghead::banghead:then got lapped by Dusty and I presume the virtual virtual If since we both couldn't see each other. :odd::odd:

When that happens I am able to cure it by hitting pause and then unpause, the instruments usually return if you do that.

Probably everybody had a little something going wrong with their cars, except Dusty of course. :)

I found a new photo to represent the Club in the Community from that unscheduled race we did at Brands.
@IfAndOr on the left, @nonka on the right and @Wayne Gratiot at the top with me in the middle.
It looks to me like we form a perfect letter 'A'.

A for accomplishment maybe?

Today at 8pm GMT there will be a room open for official practice in preparation for the Zappuccino Christmas Event.
The room will start off at Monaco and later move onto the Nordschleife and be set so that all set-ups can be explored for all
four upcoming races;

Suzuki Cappuccino

400pp / Sports Soft = Monaco
450pp / Sports Hard = Nordschleife


BMW Z8

450 pp / Sports Soft = Monaco
550pp / Sports Hard = Nordschleife

Use any of the two cars as you please.
The room will remain open for 1½ - 2 hours and maybe we will decide on
doing a short race or two after the practice is over.

Funny how you mentioned that, David.

I'm planning on creating a "Hall of Fame" of sorts pretty soon.
Nothing big or fancy but just a presentation of statistics from all the races we've done since the beginning.
I'm sure I have all the results saved from the 60-ish races so far and I wanted to show a list of who has
the most race starts, wins, podiums, Top 5's etc..

Could be interesting. :)
 
I was on my way to join you guys 2h ago but I'm having issues with my brand new steering wheel since then (looks he's already been K.I.A.).
I still have my good old G27 but that turned me a bit off... :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
 
I have grinded the Red Bull X Challenge: Standard Championship quite a few times now whenever I need the credits. :)
It's a great source of income but it can become rather tedious so I thought why not convert the Challenge into Z8.

This little Challenge below has been fully ripped off / inspired by the Red Bull Standard Championship.
It will use the same five tracks in the same order and with the same three-laps-per-race setup.

My own additions is a short one-lap qualifying session pre-race because I feel any race grid should be decided through qualifying.
Also points for pole position and fastest lap.

You will also get to increase the Z8's Performance Points by ten from race to race, starting at 500.
The Zappuccino test a few of us did from this Tuesday showed that the Z8 is fun on other PP's too.

After I have created this event in the Community I will copy-paste the room settings in full here in the thread.

For those of you who participated in the Zappuccino races that thread has been updated now with the winners in each category.
rehdogg15 and SmileyWRX became Prince and King respectively. 👍 Nice going.

I will be flying to Alicante the night after this one with my dad and brother. Mom, my sisters, aunt and her husband
and other relatives are already there.

My youngest sister, knowing what a motorhead I am sent me this photo on the phone today. She has found a gokart place
just a couple minutes from where we'll live. If you are in Alicante by any chance you'll know where I am.
She's really trying her best to be like Evel Knievel. We raced Quadrunners earlier this summer her
and I and she kept full throttle most of the time.

Any of the Z8 regulars, (or anyone else for that matter) fancy something a bit different in Jocke's absence, I'll be on from around 8pm GMT running short quick-fire races in stock GSX-Rs. It's an absolute dream is that motor.

On the spur of the moment @cgg and I have decided to get some unscheduled Friday loaner car one-make racing going.
A room will be opened up in about 50 minutes time (8pm GMT) and we'll alternate between as many loaner
cars as time allows.

Either we all vote on the track or the winner will get to decide where we will go next.
Tyres will be changed to suit the current loaner car.

We'll race for an hour or two. Maybe more who knows. :dopey:

Like FergusMik with his Classic Mini Club I have made some changes to post #1.
I removed the old schedule and the original points system which hasn't really been
utilized much these last couple of months.

Instead the points system will be changed based on what type of event we do.
Like the 'X Challenge' #763 this Tuesday the 6th for example.

Or just simply race without points on some days.

No I couldn't sleep very well today, was feeling restless and wanted to race. Met a super fast Austrian guy.
