ToronadoYou know why every racing event has Porsche 911 GT3s? Because any rich dentist can afford to buy one and literally have a race spec car. Because, in case you didn't know, that's what a fecking 911 GT3 is. It is a GT2 minus the turbo. A race car minus the decals. A ferrari 360 Modena isn't. A Corvette C5 isn't. The GT3 has NO creature comforts, and therefore weighs NOTHING, and has a tuned up engine. No **** a C5 would be below it at Nurburgring times.
Young_WarriorNice but isnt that basically what a c6 is. Both have crap interiours and back breaking ride.
And exactly what Porsche has mass amounts of cargo room? There hasn't been one since the 928, which was about, 10-12 years ago. And 22 MPG is considerably good when it runs on Regular pump gas and your main rivals run on premium and get 15 MPG.Young_WarriorAnd mercedes made the first car so what.
Plus your corvette sounds just like a bloody v8 amg.
Ugh if you didnt care for creature comforts then why get a car. Why not get a superbike or a ultima GTR?. Nice argument. I couldnt care less for the 360 stradale neither.
So what your saying is if you buy a corvette your going to have to buy another car for commuting and long trips. Dont need to do that with a porsche or a m3 or even the new RS4 which would give a c6 vette a good kicking around a track.
16-27mpg is a wide range no one gives such wide ranges so lets say 22 mpg. 22mpg aint ****.
menglanWell, If it was a nice try, then rebuke(if you even know what that means) the other points made in my posts, not just one of them.
A real truck?? a real truck?? Explain what a real truck is, to all of us americans who buy over two million trucks per year.
How old are you? You probably haven't driven either of them.
BlazinXtremeThe C6 rides nicely, and no it doesn't have a bad interior, not top notch but its isn't bad. You really need to drive one so you have some bases to go off of because you sound like an asshat.

Have you sat in a poverty cpec 911 before. OMG is a beauty. Its like heaven inside.
The gt3s interior isnt bad neither.
Why in hell does this matter? I'm 15 and I don't drive and I know all of these things. What you are also saying by this is that as a 17 year old, you have driven not only a 360 Modena, but an Evo, a TVR and a C5 Vette. I guess were are not worthy as you seem to be bloody rich.Young_WarriorChris I drive im 17. Your 16 do you drive?
menglanYou didn't get my post, did you. CREATURE COMFORTS AREN'T WHAT SPORTS CARS ARE FOR!!! THEY ARE FOR DRIVING FAST, AND ARE MEANT TO BE DRIVEN HARD! NOT DRIVEN HARD WHILE TAKING THE KIDS HOME!!

Actually, you didn't. You see, you just listed alternatives. And the alternatives you listed are about as practical as a 2 legged footstool. Some people aren't so amazingly rich that they can go out and buy cars specifically for track days or bikes for similar purposes. Some like to be able to put at least a golf bag in the trunk.Young_WarriorAlready gave you a answer a couple of posts ago.
Young_WarriorLook read the whole damn thread before posting and it will make sense to you.
menglanFine, Back them up. You can't say "I'm right" if you don't back them up. Prove it.
And, What is a truck? I asked 10 minutes ago, it doesn't take that long to explain to a nation who bought almost a million F-150s in the first year of the new design.
Actually, that is more commonly refered to as a Tractor Trailer or 18-Wheeler. Besides, if an F-150 is not a truck, than what is it? A coupe? Or, for the extended cab models, sedans? Does that make the Jeep Wrangler a convertible or a hardtop? Maybe a club racer because it has a rollbar and half doors.Young_WarriorYou need to read the whole thread aswell. A truck is not a F-150. A truck is something with a big fatc heavy container stuck to the back full of goods thats ready to travel a couple hundred miles to its destination.

No, he didn't. He said they shouldn't be why you buy them. And, just in case, when the new C6 came out, almost EVERY car magazine in America compared it with the "new" 911. So maybe you're being a little presumptious with your praise of the 911. I'm not and NEVER did say it was a bad car. It just that it is not god, and the base models of boh cars compare quite nicely.Young_WarriorA r1 costs what about 10 grand.0-100mph in something like 4 secs. That leaves you with 40 grands change to buy a car with a boot big enough to put your golf clubs. But anyway I listed those cars because your friend menglan said a sports car should have no creature comforts wat so ever and then you come up with some golf bag argument. You can get 2 sets of golf clubs in a 911 have full lkeather and the most amazing interior you will come across at the same time and still beat a c6 around a track.
Young_Warriorno the bottom of the range porsche but one with similiar horsepower will. A cayman S will beat a c6 however.
And TVR.
Well, a Cayman S is nearly as fast as a 911 Turbo, so, yeah, it would beat a stock C6 (Blazin, while you have better experience than me, you give the Cayman too little credit). And I've already mentioned why TVR's don't count.Young_Warriorno the bottom of the range porsche but one with similiar horsepower will. A cayman S will beat a c6 however.

BlazinXtremeThe Caymen beating a C6 . Sorry the Caymen is a Boxter with a new nose. Only rich trophy wifes will own them.
Young_WarriorDoesnt matter who owns them at the end of the days its fasyter around a complex track.
But your idea is still flawed as the Cayman S is faster than the 911 Carrera, which is the base model 911 and more of a competitor to the C6.Young_WarriorDoesnt matter who owns them at the end of the days its fasyter around a complex track.
