I'm not really sold on this game based on what I've seen so far. I don't see a lot of progression, if any at all which is a bit of a shame because I like the idea of working my way up from my "starter" car. Having all these pre-made playlists doesn't really sit right with me - I want to do the events in an order that I choose and use cars that I actually own. If you're just going to race cars that you don't even own, what's the point of owning ANYTHING at all? I don't mind if it's a seasonal event with limited-time rewards but using that to dictate a "career" mode is stupid. At least you can choose what you want to do in Forza Horizon for the most part. Yes, there are special missions where you have a preset car but they're kind of fun and don't ruin the core experience. The structure adopted for Motorfest seems to lack an objective, making all the experiences seem null and void. Maybe I'm missing the point but I don't want to be tossed into cars that I don't deserve to drive.

The initial playthrough of the playlists is just like unlocking them.
Once you've done a playlist for the first time, you can use any race of that playlist and make it custom and use any of your cars.

The playlist is pretty much Horizon Stories, it comes with its own mini stories with cars pre selected for you to experience with its story.

Your own cars will be used in everything outside of the playlist, like the summit events, grand race and custom mode. It is somewhat similar to Horizon in terms of its structure, it just force you to run through the race routes in a playlist story before letting you take anything you want into it.

Does the season pass or whatever transfer over to other consoles if you bought it cross multiple consoles? or probably not? I thought this was cross-progression.
Tomorrow with the free trial I will test that.
juggling parts is already quite annoying. I don’t know why they’d get rid of the fast swap from TC2.

The summit is going to be pretty pointless to even try being top 10k crossplay across all platforms.
It's quite simple, the game started development before TC2 will start to have some QoL changes and among them is the fast swap, I suppose that being something quite in demand they will put it in TCM sooner or later.

I will test as well!

Legendary points(icon points in tC2)
Cheers!

Is there also a website or app from Ubi or IVT to see Summit rankings and look up your own rank? Since I’m no longer single for almost 3 months now I’m not glued to my consoles anymore as it used to be 😕

There's The Crew Hub site, but it's been down for a while. They said they're working on fixing it, but that was months ago.

The summit redliner kit vanity is pretty nice.

Hi can anyone confirm if this game can be played with the Fanatec GT DD PRO on PS5? Im reading mixed findings. Cheers. Some people saying only on PC it works.

TC2's map was way better.
TC2 had a huge map that was fun to cruise in and go between vastly different regions, but it had large areas that were surely procedurally generated and bare.

This map is much smaller but still on the scale of like a Forza horizon. It’s also more dense and detailed than TC2. Maybe they can bring the US map back in an expansion or something. TC2 is still pretty useful with it importing cars in and how they’re still updating it.

Finished start section. Gosh it looks good in 60.

Bruh, tC2 map is big pile of ****. Only thing about it is size(and its useless). Motorfest map is waaay better, maybe its greatest map of all in racing games.
I’m enjoying this map way more. It’s great.

Don't care much for the size, just the variety and landmarks. 12 hours in beta and 15 in TCM and I'm already bored of the map.

Did anyone get his TC2 Pilatus imported?
^^ Anyone?

The stories in Forza are more like side quests though. They do not form the core gameplay experience, which is racing what you want where you want. Now, based on what I've seen, the playlists make up the core experience for Motorfest and I don't like that.

Woah now hang on a minute. That's a big call.

Yes it does and IMO works great. There saying that because it says only DD is only supported in ps5 . There the same base besides the Ps5 chip in the GT base from researching. Ig might get shot for saying this but I dare say as good as GT7 feels. Love how good the wheel works. I got mine for Gt7 and other simcade games not Motorfest but Very happy. Here's a starting point. I'm happy with the default in game settings but these in game settings improved it as well as The Crew 2 GT DD Pro settings I'm using helped. I believe you can do a free trial of the game tomorrow.

Is the Gran Turismo DD the same as the CSL DD?

Fanatec's CSL DD Wheel Base Meets The Hype, But There's A Catch

Don't let the name fool you, though — the Pro is mechanically no different to the “regular” CSL DD, even though it's packaged in a slightly different shell. However, the Pro — a Gran Turismo-licensed product — can only be bought in tandem with a GT-branded rim and Fanatec's standard CSL pedals.

The only bug I encountered so far was in the Supercar Blondie Playlist. When you choose either the Terzo or Trezor and finish the event, there is no car sound in Freeroam. However, it fixes itself once you complete the Finale.

Well,
variety and landmarks
Are more of Crew 1 things. IMO, pre WR those were even better.

In Motorfest its same idea(storydriven racing events), but turned up to twelve. They are more distinctive from each other and better designed. And if you don't like them - shut voices and skip cut scenes, experience would be basically the same as in general Horizon game.

Woah now hang on a minute. That's a big call.
Like there aren't any other strong competitors. Motorfest map is big, has enough different bioms, well designed, dense. Horizon 5 map has horrible design. Unbound is well designed, but underdeveloped. Previous NFS and Horizon games has its own flaws(too small, too closed to be open world, doesn't have enough variety).

Did the devs talk about the new playlist adding frequency? My guess would be 1 per month but I could be wrong.
