I am looking forward to jumping into the trial again this evening to see if i can somehow get accustomed to the steering/physics.

I played my first playlist (Porsche) in the trial and it was enough to convince me to buy the game. I just completed Japan but got nowhere with the drag racing. I really like the presentation of this game but the handling felt a little floaty for me. Cara is extremely chirpy for an AI. She must be a later model than Horizon Anna.

Overall Playground could learn or relearn a few things from Ivory Tower on the presentation side as this felt a lot like their first game in Colorado.

Not having crossplay in freeroam and playlist races was big letdown for me and my buddies i play with so i guess i don't buy it until they add full crossplay across all game or some big sale
I bought this already expecting crossplay to be available ala Forza Horizon, and as advertised. Extremely disappointed to find that it is only supported in the battle and demolition derby modes. They need to fix this ASAP.

We don't know why, but some car customizations and livery are no longer available in Motorfest.
Below is an example I found.

VW Beetle [SR] - Rims
VW Kombi Ghost Hunt Edition [SR] -livery
Delorean DMC-12 [SR] - Rim size, livery (Note: The Rad Edition allows for livery editing, so this is probably because they recreated the stainless steel body texture on the stock DMC-12.)

I don't know why they made these changes, but I'm a little disappointed because I was buying in TC2 to enjoy the customization of those cars in Motorfest.

Incredible how the reception of the specialized critics in this game is really low, the game is great.
Yeah, I seems FH fanboys are unable to open their chakras...
They give 9 or 10/10 to the lastest FH but a 7 to motorfest (hi IGN) strange and not fair

At least ubi and Ivory tower are smart enought to make a trial available for everyone to try for themselves

Ahm, something is wrong here.
I am not getting any legendary parts anymore. I've done a lot of races from the playlist today and leveled some classes up to max. But I havn't gotten a single gold part today.

Did they change something with the loot drop?
We are able to get gold drops from the playlist, right?

:boggled:

On launch day I managed to level up street tier 2 and at the end I had 3 or 4 gold parts.
Since yesterday not a single gold part.

This is some ********.
I'm doing custom races from the playlist. Street tier 2, all maxed, multiple parts even raise loot quality and all legend points set to lucky, raising loot quality with additional 30%. And yet, almost a dozen races finished first with max difficulty/XP and all I get is mostly blue and green stuff with occasional pink.

WTF?

I was grinding TC2 in the last weeks and in got almost every second or third race at least one gold part.

Don't put all of the perks in Lucky. Put some in Goldfinger, it increases the quantity of rewards. Lucky doesn't really do much like in TC2.

BTW, good luck with racing hypercars against max difficulty, even with parts all leveled up.
Man, they are more like hypertanks. They ram you off like nothing and zip by like they have double nitro power.
Strange though, I have no problem beating Alpha AI with the same settings/track.

And do we know if max difficulty = higher chance for gold parts or is it just more parts or even only more XP ?

Drift Agera is obliterating everything. Absolutely love it. Also, getting legendary parts from crates, no luck with anything else(even n1 in Grand Race).

Tried the trial for 30 minutes on my PS5, the graphics are pretty decent although there are some frame rate drops here and there even in performance mode.

Donut Media's playlist, which many people hate, was okay except for the infamous cruise control event.
In fact, I liked it better than playlists such as Liberty Walk, since all the events were completed in a relatively short amount of time.

Instead, Drift playlists were my Donut Media.
I love drifting. I also enjoy drifting in other games. He even turns off the stability control at Motorfest and has fun drifting around every corner at rally events.
However, following on from TC2, this game's drifting category is actually more difficult to drift than other categories due to the typical "unnecessary kindness". like classic need for speed and juiced 2.
Just being swayed by that strange handling is frustrating, and Hinata makes the situation even worse.

She's like an influencer who dies when she stops talking.
She keeps talking to make me angry, and most of her conversations are meaningless.
I didn't find any of the other characters' conversations offensive, but I needed an option to silence her.

Can someone please explain to me how the season 1 release of content will work? In this article it has a date range for the releases, why is that, shouldn't it just be a release date or is the content time limited?

I felt like the IGN reviewer should've finished up recovering from his hangover before posting that review. Listen to his voice and tell me I'm wrong  It's a great game

just tried the trial, did they change the physics? Cars seems to understeer more compared to the beta for me. Otherwise it is still good, seems to be more traffic cars and I'm seeing more players in the open world compared to the beta as well.

Manage to finish the american muscle playlist, the monster truck race was quite annoying because of the narrow bridge flipping the car but the rest of the events are good and I like special variant Mustang GT500, it looks a bit like the new Mustang GTD with its widen body and massive spoiler.

Summits and Mainstage monthly rewards are time limited, everything else not. This article is complete bull**** because of wrong wording, stick with my tread at GTP(progression systems) for reliable info.

Well, he lied about ability to buy parts. Nothing about Summits and Mainstage.

This may be a stupid question, but what do I have to do to get the blue ATV (limited playlist exclusive content)?

I can kind of understand that all I have to do is drive a designated car (Boss 429, Wrangler Evo1, DMC-12) and complete the challenge, but Motorfest's UI is more difficult to understand than TC2. So I don't know what I need to do to get an ATV... 😰

You need to complete one of the three categories: blue, green or orange. After completing one of those, all your earned XP from now on (for that category) goes into the main XP bar, where the ATV is.

Managed to grab a copy for £55 on ebay, been playing the trial whilst I await the postie... Enjoying it so far its quite engrossing particularly the photo mode, it has a good array of options and is user friendly being able to set time of day and car conditions really boosts creativity.

Thank you both. I was able to get an ATV.
I had mistakenly assumed that I needed to level up every challenge to Lv4 and grind XP on each one, but it wasn't until after spending 5 hours in Explorer and revisiting this thread that I realized my stupid mistake.
(Incidentally, I hadn't unlocked fast travel and was trying to get all XP from escapes and speed traps and slaloms, so I was still at level 2 in Explorer Challenges after spending 5 hours...)

If I had realized this stupid misunderstanding sooner, I could have gotten the ATV in 30 minutes instead of 5 hours and 30 minutes.

The needed Grind is just way to much to do every single week. To unlock the car in Main Stage, you'll need about 500k XP if it is in Level 3 and 2 Million if its on level hundred. Thats about 65/260 playlist races @ 5 Minutes each. So ~6 to 24 hours of non-stop racing to unlock it...

I don't think it is stupid at all. The level system in TCM is actually very convoluted. If I wouldn't have watched some videos before, I wouldn't know either. I like TCM a lot, but that system or structure of it should have been made more user friendly.
